Wait, THAT'S the reason? Kinda burying the lede, there. Sorry, my dude, sounds like a skill issue. This happens often and usually to those who can afford it least. So I can see the ask. When leveling salvage gets full often and those rare drops are very valuable to a low level character or new player. A 100x penalty is very harsh. A 2 or 3x penalty is more inline with learning the ropes. While I have hundreds of billions not everyone one does and I appreciate @Oklahoman asking for the little guys and gals.

I'd need some more information. Playstyle and expectations can vary. Examples: Do you only solo, plan on teaming, or a bit of both? Do you want straight forward or like combo mechanics? Is there a theme you are shooting for? Sans additional information, go Claws/Super Reflexes wimps "all-the-best-players".. Oooo a double absolute statement. Doubling down doesn't make it troo. All sets are playable. Tactics may differ and some sets can be easier than others at different points or in different situations. Try 'em all and your character(s) may find you.

Looking for leveling build & help with rad/fire brute
Troo replied to RedCorvus's topic in Archetypes
@RedCorvus have fun!! The forum is full of good information. Check back when you are ready to take the leap, folks are typically eager to help out. Oh geez.. "Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime" Some basic information and guidance can be more valuable than trying to epeen my superior intellect, mad skillz, and game mechanic exploitation. ..besides the title of the linked older thread is " The Low Budget Introduction to Fire Farming ". A small increase in rewards does not necessarily outweigh the the knowledge within. "The teacher will appear when the student is ready" (the student has to be ready) If @Maelwys would like to recreate the guide with lower level tactics, non-50+ AE arcs and leveling builds at level 25, 40, & 50; I will happily share it with new folks. Doubly so, if they are able to receive a quote/endorsement regarding the value of the guide such as: "I followed your guide to the letter and now I have my very own fire farmer. I dual boxed to get a rad/fire to 50, to be able to use her to powerlevel my other toons without depending on the kindness of other farmers. It is also the only toon I ever leveled up to 50 with zero help. For that, thanks." -
Looking for leveling build & help with rad/fire brute

Welcome old timer. Three topics for ye. -
Infamy sink.. no, just a fun way to exchange reward merits for random rolls. just like we already have. but if you are suggesting adding some new functionality for actual gambly gambly.. I am not against that.

Is it one @Snarky everywhere? Or are the Snarkys somehow multiplying? Sure is doesn't say Snarky's name but that face.. It's almost taunting us. Someone said they see em in their sleep.

@JJDrakken It is troo I don't really use inspirations on the regular. I use the P2W decline inspiration options for smalls and rezs. If blues or yellows start piling up I will combine 3 for a breakfree or rez. A character built well might not need inspirations often. Maybe I should make a natural character that pounds candy flavored supplements they developed to achieve somewhat super human powers.

Oh I can one up that!

I'd love it if we could use the Slot Machines for reward rolls.

Twilight Grasp should apply a HoT instead of a direct heal

I just added my thoughts to the discussion. My opinions. I realize this is a suggestion and not a demand. -
Twilight Grasp should apply a HoT instead of a direct heal
Troo replied to gabrilend's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Hi. Why leave it alone? It is one of the better powers in the game. It's slow and a huge heal. It also has some nice accoutrements. Twilight Grasp Ranged, Foe -To Hit, -DMG, -Regen, Team Heal Standard Effects 100% chance Apply "Execute Power" (self only) ● Redirects.Dark_Miasma.Twilight -10% Damage (All) Strength (all affected targets) for 20s -5.0% ToHit (all affected targets) for 20s 100% chance -50% Regeneration (all affected targets) for 20s if target>enttype eq 'critter' 100% chance -397.9% Regeneration (all affected targets) for 20s if target>enttype eq 'player' What's wrong with the idea? Don't fuck with great powers. (explicit language used for emphasis) Do you enjoy the direct heal more than a HoT, and if so, can you please explain why? Direct heal. While it takes a bit, the heal is big enough that it can have a big effect. Is it more useful in battle or do you like it for thematic reasons? This seems rhetorical. -
Older less expensive build (no purples and superior winter IOs). ~3 seconds between Rain of Fires and perma with Incarnates. 50%+ ranged defense. Corruptor Fire-Kin (Murder Bot).mxd

So put the Critical Strikes in Shatter?

Could be there is something here. How could the popup tray build on the original suggestion? Toggling Fly then enables Toggling Afterburner. Toggling Speed of Sound then enables Jaunt. Toggling Mystic Flight then enables Translocation. Rather than having Group Fly trigger someone else's power.. Could we have Group Fly be (Self Fly + Pet Fly) augmented by a popup power which flys the team (Team Fly)? Group Fly Minimum Level 14 (All Archetypes) Effects Toggle: Self Fly, Pet Fly -or- Toggle: Self Fly, (Special) Enhancements Reduce Endurance Cost Enhance Flight Speed Set Categories Flight Universal Travel Group Fly > Group Team Fly Minimum Level 14 (All Archetypes) Effects Toggle: Team Fly Enhancements None Set Categories None

Discussion: Increase Mission Completion Rewards Significantly
Troo replied to Troo's topic in General Discussion
You didn't think that diatribe was going to change my opinion, did you? If you feel I used the wrong word, feel free to use your word. I believe I used the word I meant to, but whatev.. And sweet baby beelzebub why does @Luminara even play if they think it's so terrible. -

Shining Stars.. I'd rather stub a toe. It would be nice to have one path 0-30 that sorta closely matched current progression without the training wheels. -
Discussion: Increase Mission Completion Rewards Significantly
Troo replied to Troo's topic in General Discussion
I do not completely agree with this. I agree some. Yes, absolutely the game used to take a lot longer but it was not designed to 'waste time'. We paid for the game upfront and there was a monthly subscription. The goal at that point I would argue was engagement. Rather than one mission type we had a variety of them. "Missions give the game variety and depth. They offer an alternative to merely wandering the streets looking for thugs who are asking for trouble." Oh geez, we both know if there was a level 40-50 single regular mission that could be done solo and offered a level for completion.. it would be more popular than it is currently. -

A Pretty Damned Spectacular Guide on Leveling with IOs and IO Sets
Troo replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in Guides
@Yomo Kimyata Anything you'd change in this? -
Question / Discussion: How much of an increase would it take to entice players to do more regular content? Task Forces and Trials have various incentives. I get leveling up as fast as possible. I have no problem with that and actually think once at 50, powerset respecs should be a thing. (you made to 50 with a Elec/Dark and wanna switch one powerset to something else for a cost of say a super respec, 10 levels, and... but I digress) It would appear, and I am not judging, that many players level up asap and then it's some combination of Incarnates, weeklies or popular Task Forces. DFB is probably done X times more than Shining Stars or Snake Uprising. And many of those who DFB are not likely then doing Story Arcs. What would it take to have Story Arcs equal level progression and rewards available through other means? We'd definitely be out leveling contacts and might need a more streamlined path through contacts. (It would be cool to have a best of content path) Goal of asking this question is simply introducing more content to players without having to create it as well as rewarding solo or casual play. Couldn't data mining be done to determine the least run content and figure out a way to point players to it and reward them for doing it? Thoughts? And also once players hit 50.
