500 Empyrean Merits does equal 5,000 Reward Merits and then 15,000 Converters worth ~1B. 500 Empyrean Merits also equals 10,000 Incarnate Threads. That's enough to simply unlock all the Incarnate abilities on ~40 level 50s without doing one Vet Level. (someone might wanna check my math)

You've got time. Imagine folks who don't know about this potentially happening! Empyrean/Astral Merits can also be emailed to another character. I can't remember off hand if they are account bound. If not, they could be sent to another account.

issue 27 Focused Feedback: City Zone Adjustments
Troo replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
arthurh, I can't remember. Do you play Redside much? I am merely looking for context is all. -
This merely increases the distance between PVE & PVP while using open zones shared by the two. It might actually increase the barrier to entry as the highest level characters are easily acquired, tuned and specialized. Putting a level 32 in the same zone as what this makes comically easy.. well, that is not a step toward parity.

Without any name calling, I can see you point. Dev Diary will hopefully provide details on why it was initially proposed and why it was reverted.

issue 27 Focused Feedback: Sonic Attack Revamp
Troo replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
this is super helpful, thank you. -
Is the idea to make access to reward merits through non AE content simply easier to get than through AE? If so, I think I prefer the previous solution.

"The ‘Down’ vector is especially interesting, because it allows for the creation of powers that cause Knockdown but have a high magnitude and can punch through KB protection. This is something that was not possible before, since a high magnitude would normally mean a long knockback distance." "After the knock vector is calculated, that setting can be used to rotate the vector along an axis and point almost any direction you can think of" "The magnitude expression here is to simulate a dense gravitational source and translates to ((45-dist)/19)^3. In other words, the pull is very strong near the event horizon and quickly falls off to very weak for targets further away."

Some grabbed a name for every alt they ever had and just never got around to using them before rage quitting over the Energy Melee changes. Some grabbed names for old SG mates and friends to save for them. Some grabbed every name they could think of like it was a new dot com land grab. Some grabbed names just to block peeps they didn't like.. There's lots of reasons, and this is a very accommodating step toward a long promised feature. Once it is closer to implementation, it'll be reviewed. After implementation, it'll be reviewed and adjusted if necessary.

incorrect speculation based on incomplete information can lead to inadequate assumptions.. merits are the great equalizer

issue 27 Focused Feedback: Toggle Suspension and Suppression
Troo replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I hate testing.. I like this better. Should I offer a sacrifice as well or is that superfluous or gratuitous? -
No. I thought about saying yes when reading the title.. but then: "completely useless set" "This is a terrible set design, frankly, because if you slot the KB -> KD IO, you render almost half the enhancement value provided by the set useless." "Explosive Blast requires KB -> KD to be useful even solo, because it's a badly-designed power out of the box" Just bad form. No worries, I fixed for you. Regardless, we can come up with a better solution. (one might be in the works) (but who knows, you will likely feel it to be a badly-designed, completely useless feature)

issue 27 Focused Feedback: Architect Entertainment
Troo replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Custom Enemy Changes Advanced Enemy Power Customization New Custom Enemy Powersets Additions Mission Map Additions Enemy Group Additions etc 🙂 I am fiddling with some but there is a lot. @Bionic_Flea @Oubliette_Red @Sakura Tenshi @Coyotedancer and others did a bunch on various things. Some actual numbers around page 11~ for impact to AE exp related to custom critters. (cliff notes version: some impacts, but not game breaking) -
issue 27 Focused Feedback: Architect Entertainment
Troo replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
So you'd AE even if the rewards were less than regular content? -
issue 27 Focused Feedback: Architect Entertainment
Troo replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
So you don't want to nerf AE farms, you want to drop a bomb on it. When taking into account convenience, concentration of targets, and customization.. rewards for AE would have to be much less than regular content to account for speed. -
issue 27 Focused Feedback: Attack Typing Adjustments
Troo replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
It is getting sorted out. Currently that additional damage is likely coming from ranged attacks originating from targets over the previous aggro cap. Different focused feedback thread amigo. -
I may have missed your solution for name squatting. While you and I may not be offenders, there are some out there who took advantage, and this is how it is being addressed. Nah. It's all right there and they have already tapped into that section of the code for the visual indicators. A search might be easier than a sort, though less polished.

PvP zone rewards should also increase proportionally.
