  1. I've said it before and I will die on this hill: ED broke the game.
  2. Check all the character slots to ensure it didn't simply get moved. After that you'll have to file a support ticket, see if they can figure out what happened.
  3. It's a long animation for sure, but no reason it couldn't be trimmed to fit.
  4. Not sure what's going on, but I usually stand right on the loading deck of the zone ferries. Never had any problems. Logged in a character this afternoon and got the badge.
  5. Anyone know how long it's up for?
  6. Yeah, I didn't do it on my Tank. I don't think she'd be in danger of dying, but the mezzing, repel, and KB would get old really fast.
  7. It's a mean tango for sure.
  8. He does a little bit of everything. MAG 1000 repel, stun, & hold, -end, -recovery, -fly, slow, -resist, MAG 80 KB, MAG 10 confuse. Also buffs his own tohit and dmg, and has base ~700-2000 of smashing damage per hit.
  9. I think the old Flares animation is the same as Gale and a few others.
  10. It's not fun if you don't get pinballed.
  11. Ohhhhh, I remember that kick! Was talking about it not that long ago. I really wish the devs could link that up as an alternate animation. It was so cool! I seem to remember that Fire Blast/Flares had a different animation at one time.
  12. I wouldn't worry about Lightning Cloud so much. But Tornado does scatter groups if they're not locked down in advance. One of the KB2KD IOs works fine and won't affect any of your other powers. You could also slot one in Lightning Cloud but I don't think it's worth the effort or the slot. Hurricane is another one that scatters everything around you and takes some practice to use well (like you said, pushing critters into walls and corners. etc). The KB2KD IO doesn't work so well in Hurricane because it has repel in addition to KB and repel is unaffected by the IO. Hurricane isn't something you want to turn on and keep on at all times. You need to use it judiciously.
  13. They only got the rights to FF and X-Men back recently, after they bought Fox Studios. Since we've seen both Mr. Fantastic and Professor X in Multiverse of Madness, and Deadpool 3 has Wolverine in it the belief is they're using the multiverse subtheme as a way of bringing them in to the MCU. They're using the current phase to to expand the multiverse concept, likely for this purpose.
  14. One thing that no one has mentioned is that some characters simply aren't all that interesting, and work far better on a team than they do a solo project. If you look at the X-Men, very very few of them would be a compelling character on their own. It's the team interdynamics that makes them work. The collective sharing of "we are different" that binds them together and makes them interesting as a whole. But on their own? Pretty dull. So while Marvel has been really good at taking B and C-listers and making them popular, it's only because these characters are actually pretty well fleshed out with a wealth of background material to draw from. As you get further down the list this becomes less and less so, and they struggle to find a way to make uninteresting characters interesting. I think this is what people are seeing and labeling as "fatigue". And this will all change once the X-Men and Fantastic Four are finally introduced into the MCU.
  15. Addiction is most definitely a disease, and I'm sure there are people bankrupting themselves in P2W games, but I think it's a bit disingenuous to think everyone that spends obscene amount of money in P2W games are addicts, at least in the strict sense. I'm not disagreeing with anything that's been said, but I don't think they are the norm. So while genuine addiction is most definitely a pathology they exploit (the thrill of games of chance), the majority of these high-spenders seem to be of a different pathology -- in that they feel powerless or diminished in their regular lives and have found that spending all their money in these games allows them to feel superior to others who either don't have that kind of money to spend or choose to spend their money more wisely. Or people who are intensely competitive and will do whatever is necessary to win, no matter what the cost. It's a different kind of pathology driven by different motivations, but still a pathology nonetheless.
  16. The P2W mechanic really seems to appeal to people with a ton of disposable income who enjoy being "the best" in games so they can curbstomp everyone else. There's definitely a pathology at work here. It's not unheard of for some of these people to literally spends thousands every single month. I might be able to understand it if the "game" was an actual game. But they're not. They're repetitive collection activities designed to offer little to no advancement unless you spend money, lots of it, preying upon frustration and horrible RNG mechanics to keep the money flowing.
  17. This is pure nonsense. It looks awful TBH. From what I've read and been told by developer friends one of the reasons we don't see more Marvel games is that the licensing agreement is STEEP. A huge yearly payment plus a large percentage of the profits in the first 1-2 years. Makes sense why most Marvel games are garbage P2W mobile games, because they make a ton of money.
  18. Make a good superhero game and we'll play it. The problem is they're not being made. The PS Spider-Man games are OK but not great. Marvel Heroes was the last big RPG/MMO-style game that was really good. Suicide Squad looks awful, Midnight Suns looks about as exciting as watching paint dry. I won't touch anything Arkham because it's been done to death. Wonder Woman was announced over a year ago and we haven't heard a peep about it since. 🤷‍♀️
  19. Many times (but not always, it depends upon the team) teams steamroll thru mobs so quickly you don't really have to debuff things other than tough bosses or AVs. The problem is your pets aren't nearly as hardy as other players, so I find I'm tossing out debuffs solely to keep my pets alive, not because it's meaningfully beneficial to the team. And I freely admit it's a playstyle that doesn't necessarily appeal to me all that much. And that's OK, not everything has to. I'm only speaking of my own personal experiences. It's a lot of micromanagement, and resummoning and re-enhancing feels like a chore to me. I just feel like them being a bit more resilient out of the box would greatly improve the play experience. Eliminating the level shift would also go a long way, since at -1 and -2 your T2 and T1 pets are that much more squishy and likely to miss. If I'm on a 50+4 team I sometimes don't even bother with the T1/2 pets because they just die so quickly and don't contribute much against critters that are +6/7. And that means I only have to worry about 1 pet instead of 6.
  20. Yes, wdw.txt in the settings>live folder. You'll also find text files for your keybinds, chats, game options, client options, and graphics options in there. IIRC the settings in these files aren't per character, but what's used when you create a new character. I don't think the per-character settings are stored in a file. Character slot order is in playerslot.txt located in the accounts>account name folder.
