  1. I get the same error, both if I open it locally or using the online version of Excel. 🤷
  2. Oh that link is a work of art! And I found it, forcefield5_loop. Thanks!
  3. We do???? 😲
  4. Surely it couldn't possibly be more complicated than copying the unique account identifier and pasting it over the old one on the character you want to move. SURELY. 😂 I mean who doesn't enjoy a good ritual rotisserie sacrifice?
  5. Anyone know which file is the SFX for the hum you hear when you first activate Hurl? It's heard on both the player and critter versions. Dunno why but it drives me absolutely batty. I seem to recall there was a spreadsheet with all the SFX names but I can't seem to find it. Thanks.
  6. The problem is the belief that when they free up names that you're going to be able to get all the names you weren't able to before. The reality is you'll be lucky if you get ANY of them. The flip side of this problem is that people feel ENTITLED to hold onto names indefinitely, even if they don't actually play those characters, simply because they got there first. The reality of a game where names can only be used once is that some people hoard them, some people rarely play, and others leave the game entirely. The bottom line is that if you've got a character that you don't/rarely ever play that name shouldn't be locked to you if someone else (who assumedly will actually play that character) wants it. So 1.) it needs to be done for the health of the game, 2.) it's not a perfect solution, but will definitely help the problem, 3.) don't expect you're gonna get that prized or coveted name you've always wanted cause the chance is pretty low, and 4.) understand that if you don't use a name you might lose it, and don't lose your goddamned mind over it because it's only fair.
  7. If you're insistent upon punishing yourself by playing Regen, I'd say go with Brute. The only advantage of Regen is that (if you actually survive a battle) is that you have very little downtime, which lets you get the most out of Fury. But honestly, either one is fine, as long as you're prepared for the suckage that is Regen.
  8. I've asked and was told no.
  9. Meh, that's what backups are for. 😜
  10. Now do it without Shadow Meld and any +defense IO sets. 😲
  11. IIRC the attuned versions cost the same as the non-attuned ones on the AH. The only reason to buy a non-attuned version would be a.) you're not going to exemplar down very often, and/or b) you plan using boosters to up the level beyond 50.
  12. Ain't too good either. 🤷‍♀️
  13. And yet there is page after page after page of discussions just here in the forums with dozens of people hating the policy because they have hundreds of characters they can't possibly play frequently enough to avoid getting the name released. And these are just the ones who come to the forums and post. Ultimately the devs know better than we do as to how many active accounts have 100+ characters that are just sitting there versus the number of abandoned accounts that may only have a few characters. Again, I'm not saying the policy is bad, I'm just saying it's unlikely to have the kind of huge impact people expect. People who are purposefully squatting on hundreds of names, or even people who just legit have hundreds of characters they might actually play once in a blue moon, they're gonna find a way to keep those names. It's pretty trivial to create a script that would log in each one of them automatically to ensure the names are never released. And not terribly difficult to use all this lead time to get each one of them to at least level 20, requiring even less effort to hold onto them. I hope I'm wrong. I hope when they finally implement this policy that 10s of thousands of names are released and people who have characters they actively play can get the names they want. Hell, I have characters that don't have the name I want, so yeah, I'd love for that to happen. But I'm also a realist. And yet there is no evidence whatsoever that anyone has ever tried. You make a lot of assumptions. Believe whatever makes you happy I guess. 🤷
  14. Yes, and that's the issue that would need to be overcome. 😉
  15. I would dare say that to many players the names of their characters are VERY important and that such an improvement would be seen as quite favorable and welcome. Such a feature is more of a database issue, which is something that coders, bug fixers, costume designers, etc. generally don't deal with. Different people for different systems. Sure, it's absolutely a QoL change, but a huge one nonetheless.
  16. I'd appreciate it if you don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say they shouldn't do it. Honestly it should have been done years ago. I said it's unlikely to be as effective as people anticipate, and that it does nothing to prevent active name squatters, as it's fairly easy to avoid the policy with minimal effort. Name squatters got in on day 1. As more and more people come to the game character names become more and more esoteric because popular ones are already used or squatted. Releasing names on abandoned accounts created months or years after day 1 isn't likely to add a significant amount of desirable names to the pool. Appeal to Ignorance Fallacy: Since no one's done it yet it must not be possible. 👍
  17. The problem with Regen is that it's a set that was designed for a game that hasn't existed since 2005. By every conceivable metric it is demonstrably inferior to every other protection set in the game. It *could* be a fine set with some tweaks, but as it currently exists, no, it's not a fine set, for all the very same reasons you listed.
  18. It was heavily nerfed, repeatedly, in the first year of the game (prior to ED), and it never got any significant improvements since. There have been no shortage of very good suggestions on how to improve the set without significantly changing its nature (I have made a few myself 💅), but the devs need to want to fix it. The closest we've gotten is the slightly reworked Sentinel version that most consider superior to the others. Honestly I find it just as underwhelming. Willpower is the better option if you want a set that has +regen.
  19. It all depends upon how difficult and/or enjoyable you want your play experience to be, and how complicated a build you want. Regen is broken, plain and simple. That some people can figure out ways to make it work using set/global IOs and various pool powers doesn't mean it's not in desperate need of attention and is vastly inferior to every other protection set. If your plan is to level up solo on +4/x8 I don't think you're going to find it all that much fun. But at -1 to +1 and a team size of 1-4 you'll probably be OK. I have a Regen Scrapper and Stalker and honestly they just aren't all that fun to play at higher levels/difficulties (tho I think the Stalker fares better than the Scrapper). IMHO you should probably pick something else.
  20. The problem is the naming policy isn't doing to do anything to stop people who literally create hundreds of characters for the sole purpose of locking down names; characters that never get played and exist solely to squat. The only thing it'll accomplish is to release names from accounts that have been abandoned. I don't know how feasible it is, but it would be great if our @ names could be added internally to character names like Cryptic did with Champions and Star Trek. Then everyone can get whatever character name they want and completely kneecap the squatters.
  21. No space between flypose and the #, so it's flypose1, flypose2, flypose3, flypose4. They are 4 separate commands, not one command with a numerical modifier.
  22. It has a base recharge of 10 seconds and a duration of 8-16 seconds depending upon AT (ranged characters get 8, melee get 12-16), which will scale down based upon critter level and class. I guess if you really wanted to maximize it you could do 2 recharge reductions and 2-3 taunts. It's always been my understanding that higher MAG levels also increases threat, but like you said, it's all a bit vague as to exactly how it works. I use it a lot on Scrappers and Stalkers. Feared critters don't attack unless attacked first, so it's a great alternative damage mitigator.
  23. The Presence pool as a whole is pretty damned awesome. An underappreciated gem. But yeah, you're never gonna out-taunt a Tank or Brute (or even a Scrapper) -- it's what they do. Even tho the MAG level of Provoke is the same as Tank/Brute Taunt and Scrapper Confront (MAG 4), Tanks/Brutes get a MAG 3/4 taunt aura and Tanks get Gauntlet (aka Punchvoke) that gives them another MAG 4 AoE taunt on every attack. Slotting Provoke with taunt enhancements doesn't increase the MAG level, only the duration, so that's not gonna help. The only way you might pull critters off a Tank or Brute is if you slot it with recharges and spam it.
  24. No sir, 1-4. Not sure what you're doing wrong, but I use them all the time so I know they work. You have to use it while you're actually moving otherwise it does nothing. IIRC there are some powers that interfere with it, but off the top of my head I can't remember which. So maybe that's what's going on? Try turning everything off, see if it works then.
