  1. I remember the days of having that one guy that was better off dead than alive on the team so we could alternate vengeance buffs and rock fallout.
  2. Plant/Trick Arrow. Omg you open with flash arrow and seeds, and nothing touches you as you drop in proc bomb debuffs and pour on the gas on the fire with OSA and proced Carrion Creepers. This controller has and does often out damage regular pug blasters on taskforces to the point I've been accused of using "GM powers". If your on Everlasting, keep an eye out for Nightshade Mantis, he's the one in your combat log that killed everything.
  3. Yeah definitely, perhaps the animations get quicker the more stacks that you have? Because you know you have a lot of kinetic energy to propel those attacks to the enemies face.
  4. I attune non-purple/non-pvp IO's, I boost all generic, purple, and PvP IOs, and combine any HO/Dsync to 53. Purple and PvP IOs don't need attunement to keep their set bonuses they go all the way down to lvl 10 regardless of attunement, so depending on if early powers are slotted with them you can get pretty decent early bonuses. Thus attuning these is a waste of an opportunity to boost them for more effectiveness. That said I don't often use too many purple sets unless I'm really chasing recharge, as most of them have similar set bonuses, and I typically like to pass some defense and then boost other areas.
  5. Seems not all of them are backed up on that archive. A couple links errored out for me.
  6. Time is definitely a commodity in short supply. Between work, kids, other responsibilities, I can see why people want bases constructed for them. 1-2 billion influence doesn't seem unreasonable.
  7. The alternative solution was either telling them to shut it off or kicking the person with group fly as it made us slower than molasses and debuffed our accuracy back in the day.
  8. Personally I'd rather them allow us to expand null the gull dialogue menu to some humanoids and place them in our bases.
  9. Kin Melee is pretty much only playable as a stalker. It's pretty lethargic across the other ATs. I would probably change it up so that all the attacks drain damage and add it to the player as they do now when using power siphon without actually needing power siphon up to the traditional 5 stacks. I'd then change power siphon to act as a PBAoE Fulcrum Shift that only affects the user, that allows the user to exceed the 5 stack cap for a period of time to levy some really jaw dropping hits before wearing off.
  10. No in the OP's message they jot off to alt tab and scroll Facebook or grab coffee and let the team waste a couple rez cool downs on them before they realize that the OP is afk. The OP comes back find themselves dead and asks for a rez and they say we tried twice, quit going afk during the mission.
  11. There's an option when forming a TF that disables invention origin bonuses. If you pick that there will be no blaster tanking a map. Just make sure though to advertise that your running with that option on, otherwise you'll have people quiting as soon as they notice their multimillion influence build does nothing.
  12. OP, you don't. Not here anyways until you grow up maybe. May I suggest Thunderspy your usage of the profane fits more in with the culture there.
  13. Warmth only affects you on a rocket board no one else.
  14. That was phase shift. It still exists. Back in the old days everyone took it in PvP as a oh shit I'm about to die (not today Satan) power. PvE players took it for pretty much the same reason and it trivialized content so the devs made it drain more end and have a timer on the power to only last 30 seconds, make it so you couldn't use rest when it was on and have a lockout from being able to phase for awhile.
  15. The overall reduction in IO prices is so true. Many of us OG players have had multiple alts on lives with IO build costs going 3-4x the actual influence cap, so we had to use multiple respecs very carefully when we changed our builds, because that was before unslotters and Respec recipes. I'm definitely in the speed camp myself, and honestly as more players get more familiar with a taskforce or arc they will naturally maximize their rewards vs their time. And let's face it, a large majority of us are all adults that have other shit going on with our lives like work, family, and hell even retirement planning and attending seminars for how to maximize what we can leave to our loved ones without the government stealing more than they should as we age out and die off. Time is money, and I only ever do +4/8 or relentless, etc if I'm looking to test a build out or just really try hard, and if I'm at those difficulties I'm still speeding. If I need XP, I can farm, if I need drops I can buy them or farm them.
  16. As a retired pvper that likes to Speedrun, and play literally every powerset in the game to it's maximum potential I can say that @Croax was spot on with a lot of us using Fire/Fire blasters (although I have been theory crafting a fire/sonic blaster for the extra -14% resistance Debuff in disruption aura, I haven't tested it just yet though), otherwise I really enjoy my fire/cold Corruptor as well for speed runs. DPS though is a bit tricky in this game that there's so many avenues to take into account from melee, ranged, single target, AoE, recharge, procs, your own damage mitigation, enemy resistances/defenses to various damage types, debuffs, player buffs, base empowerment, temp powers, inspiration stacking, and player skill. Given all that it's difficult to nail the coffin shut, an example of that philosophy is when I boot up three masterminds I have on unique accounts to fire farm a meteor map. They were designed to be used in tandem with each other, and can't do it alone, but all three together even though it's just me playing all three clears a meteor map super fast because they can agro so many more mobs at once because of each of their pets. Given that mentality it's not impossible to clear a meteor map in under 2 minutes, it damn difficult as you have to coordinate everything perfectly but it's extremely efficient when you get good at it.
  17. You could do something like this.... https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/4887-advanced-buff-bar-filtering/
  18. That actually sounds like a fun PvP scenario. Of my 117 lvl 50s, the stalkers start Assassin Striking the Squishies, and for some reason the scrappers are trying to go toe to toe with the tanks and brutes and just exchange blows (silly melee), while the 11 blasters team up and start spiking everyone else and then turn on each other targeting those without max HP, and great mobility. They whittle each other away over the course of a a couple of days of intense fighting and at the end as the dust clears there's only one survivor left standing.... My Ice/Plants Blaster "Kill Steal".
  19. I love lamp. And to borrow from Kevin Michael, "The more we delve into quantum mechanics the stranger the world becomes; appreciating this strangeness of the world, whilst still operating in that which you now consider reality, will be the foundation for shifting the current trajectory of your life from ordinary to extraordinary. It is the Tao of mixing this cosmic weirdness with the practical and physical, which will allow you to move, moment by moment, through parallel worlds to achieve your dreams."
  20. It's a fun strike force. Dare I say, Praetoria needs some taskforce type content for both Loyalists and Resistance?
  21. I always played that off in my head as some sort of time travel mechanic in that when I got sent to primal earth, my actions in Praetoria hadn't occurred yet and created a time paradox to explain no one remembering me or losing titles and such.
  22. Unless you're glued to the bowdown emote, here's a list of costume change emotes made specifically for changing your costumes that are pretty cool: https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Cce_(Slash_Command) But yeah as Luminara said, no to auto firing macros as macros don't have cool downs. The only work around that I could think would work isn't allowed because it requires third party software, so I won't elaborate on it. Otherwise, I would look at a rolling text command if you feel you really need a text line, just so your character doesn't have to repeat the same time over and over. Also I imagine you'll build for Perma Dom like every dominator, so will you just activate the normal power while renewing and only costume change when it drops? Might be food for thought, as most of the time a well built dominator stays in domination until the end of combat. Good luck.
  23. We choose to play as me. However we are legion.
  24. I can't be killed, and secondly I've never shared any of my own Excel sheets (I may have shared the link to the ppm proc calculator made by someone else on Google drive, but you've never been graced by my pivot tables).
  25. I might be a bit of a freak, but I have most of the set bonuses (maybe like 90%, some I just hardly use like confuse, immobilize, etc) memorized and can reasonably do the calculations in my head. I do however use excel for my proc rate calculations, and I have mids because I often get asked for copies of my build and then I have to make one on mids to send someone else.
