Hypothetically if there was going to be a new healing IO set, for a proc based power I could see a 25% regen debuff resistance proc that would be useful to a lot of people (especially those of us that have regeneration toons).

Regeneration is designed so you die so you can use Revive.

Is development here slowing to a stop? Maintenance mode?
SeraphimKensai replied to irishhawk's topic in General Discussion
With the exception of @Jimmyhe went for groceries and we haven't seen him since. I'm still waiting on my toaster strudels and string cheese he was supposed to drop off. -
I have a fully built TW/Invuln in my cadre of toons. I don't know off the hand if I actually made a build for it in mids though. I'll try to remember to check after work.

I have maybe dozen or so Corruptors at this point including fire blast on a fire/cold, a fire/kin, and a fire/poison. All work extremely well. My other Corruptors include water/storm, elec/kin, dp/time, arch/ta, ice/dark, elec/dark, water/cold, rad/storm, and a psi/rad. Corruptors work extremely well and can pair with almost anything. Fire blast is great on a corruptor. The only corruptor that hasn't really won me over has been the one we archery primary (trick arrow is amazing), but that's because I compare it to things like my ice/dark or fire/poison. It's hard to mess up a pick with fire blast. Maybe avoid force field or sonic (as if you want it, it works all around better on a defender).

It's entirely possible to make the influence cap on a toon that is lvl 1 without ever getting any xp at all while sitting in Wentworth's without any outside assistance.

Yes Kin is meant to be played in melee, but if you can compensate for it with slotting a thugs/kin with burnout is a thing of chaotic beauty. Double gangwar fulcrum shifts, mobs melting, your pets getting rocked but having so many you still overwhelm the opposition. Kudos for fitting in fold space as well to draw in a large amount of mobs for those fulcrum shifts.

Are there any Scrapper builds that can solo AVs and GMs?
SeraphimKensai replied to meowkittyface's topic in Scrapper
AVs are typically easier than GMs, and most decent builds should have no issue on an average AV. GMs you'll need some decent way to break their Regen and whittle down that HP pool. Whatever you do, don't try and solo GM_Bot, she straight up uses hacks, gave herself Freem in Galaxy City and has capped resistances/defense/HP and debuff resistances. -
The shards are on mobile trucks driving around each country continuously by auto driving robot chauffeurs using an AI algorithm from 2500BCE Egypt to avoid detection from NCSoft. That said they are typically lag free, and run via player donations that open on a monthly basis. Welcome back.

Please Allow Hami Origin Enhancement Conversion
SeraphimKensai replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Then perhaps Dr. Aeon's Enhancement Gene Splicer vending machine...put in a HO, SHO, TSO, or DSO and a different special enhancement, and poof the vending machine whirls to life, starts to clank, and pops out a new special enhancement of the user's choice (albeit with a 30% chance of failure resulting in a random special enhancement). Note: DSO conversion requires DSOs to combine. Something along that line would be pretty unique in that it does present some risk, turns 2 enhancements to 1, and shouldn't require any kind of limiting chode implementation to how players slot their toons. -
That's viable as well.

Why not do both? You can have multiple builds and even make a macro to change them on the fly. My widow is a Bleeding Fort Night. Essentially I have a fully built Night Widow, Fortunata, and Blood Widow (support) all on the same toon that I can hot swap the whatever role that is needed. Yes it's expensive but it's uniquely cool to be able to swap from night widow to fort back and forth as necessary for the situation. Only drawback is it pops all your cool downs so you have to time it for right after you've used hasten or your destiny/hybrid.

I never take teleport - except I did
SeraphimKensai replied to DougGraves's topic in General Discussion
A lesser known bind trick with teleport....you can type the following to teleport you to where your mouse cursor is without changing it to the teleport rings that you have to click to confirm the destination. This allows you to speed up the teleportation process significantly. "/bind (whatever key or button combo you want for teleport), powexec_location cursor teleport" Otherwise I do like using the target variety as well to go around corners without visibility, and the vertical ascension teleport binds to teleport directly up to max range, so you can quickly get over a number of buildings. With a little slotting and some skill, it is hard to be beat to a door if you're good at teleporting. -
Elec/Plants Blaster. Build for high HP. You get 2 single target holds to help with greens. You get 2 melee attacks for yellows, and multiple ranged blasts for blues. You also get a toggle Debuff you can apply on Hami that reduces damage/tohit/regen.

@Krimson is one of the few other people I'm aware that has a well built elec/kin corruptor. She exceeds my experience with the combo for sure. As far as building kins, the set by itself has no reason to build for Recharge on its own. This becomes more necessary when combined with a powerset like Illusion from the controller primary or thugs from the mastermind primary. Regarding corruptors, recharge is useful if your evening out your attack rotation or trying to chase something like Perma Drain Soul (not typically a high priority for a kin though, but an APP summon could be sought to be Perma). I like to build my corruptors for defense based IO slotting as I like to aim towards melee/ranged non-incarnate softcaps and use clarion and p2w buffs for mez protection, especially for a kinetic corruptor as it's all about getting in heavy melee saturation popping FS and melting entire groups of mobs. Repel is interesting but I typically find that it does too little for it's added end cost per mob affected. I'm kinda selfish as a kin where I'll often skip siphon power, repel, and wait for it....speed boost (as most oftentimes I'm focusing on ending the threat and got tired or people complaining about moving fast). Kinetics allows for some gracious slotting on the primary as well. Hope this helps.

I could of sworn I saw someone recently on the corruptor page talking about making one of these (I think in April). They'd probably be all for helping you out by offering build advise or suggestions if you tried to make a build in mids first, address what your goals are with the build and any potential must haves or whatnot. Then again, I think that guy is kind of a dick, but he's fairly knowledgeable about this game and often enough won't shut up on these boards.

Fault is rolling to attack twice or sometimes not at all.
SeraphimKensai replied to Anderoth's topic in Bug Reports
Fault originally didn't do any damage, that was added later as a separate effect. -
Please Allow Hami Origin Enhancement Conversion
SeraphimKensai replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Honestly I'm all for converting special enhancements (HOEs, SHOEs, TSOs, DOs) for 10 converters. That will stabilize the market price for special IOs. -
Take a look at city of data and the ppm proc calculator and you can find out yourself fairly easily.

Wind control was all before the game leaked back to the public. It just requires textures. To finish it wouldn't necessarily be taking something that the other servers created as it was created largely before all the illegal servers existed. It would be my recommendation to finish the set using existing in-game textures, rather than any unique ones that may be sources from other illegal servers.

As I mentioned before I chose to roll an Elec/Ninja, and through together a quick build and have been play testing it. The toon is extremely resilient. The revamped elec blast works really well especially with a charge up, thunderous blast from shinobi stealth. Otherwise as it drains mobs and applies shock damage procs, and further reduces their ability to fight. I have blinding powder and smoke flash recharging in roughly 32 seconds, they are more utilitarian in aspect, but smoke flash is more useful given the -10.5% res debuff. Clarion for mez protection, and also because I didn't need Barrier or Aegis. The build can stealth missions as necessary as well with Shinobi and Sprint Celerity stealth proc. Now the meat and potatoes...the toon ends up with nonincarnate softcapped typed defenses to SLFCEN, P at 21.26%, T at 15.98%. Additionally M is 31.26%, R is 39.7% and A is 41.88%. HP sits at 1635.7, Regen at 474.14% (32.31 HP/Sec). 654.28 HP Absorb. Max End 115.4% End Use 3.19, End Rec 5.19. I don't normally post builds but...Submitted for approval of the Midnight Society I call this build Elec/Ninja....

Very proc heavy which I get its important for soloing avs/gms, however I would figure out a way to eek out a bit more recharge to keep PA perma without need of that Force Feedback proc, as if you're soloing a giant monster or something, you don't all of a sudden want all the agro that was on PA redirected to you when it does drop. To help achieve that I would switch your destiny from clarion to ageless core. It looks like you were smart enough not to put in Agility with all those procs, that's a common oversight that I'm glad you didn't fall prey to. I really don't see the Decimation proc firing off that much in Blind, because at 1ppm, the recharge on blind is already really low (if I did the math right, its about a ~17.5% chance to fire off). Also instead of teleport target which isn't useful for soloing avs/gms I'd use a 1 slot wonder of Weaken Resolve. You can load it with an Achilles for a 90% chance to proc, but honestly acid mortar should proc well enough, so alternatively you could slot it with a +3 lyso for up to 17% defense debuff and its base 7.5% res debuff.

Also note there is a lesser used Health IO with another 25% bonus in Regenerate Tissue. The Regen bonus from Regenerative Tissue and Impervious Skin do stack if I recall, it's been awhile since I've played a Regen based character.

What Can Be Done to Recruit Players?
SeraphimKensai replied to Apparition's topic in General Discussion
I've tried to recruit a number of people over the years, and what I find is that a lot of younger people have issues with the low polygon models and low res textures. Us older folk don't mind so much as we're all wearing glasses trying to see clearly.
