  1. It definitely is. It all comes down to your build and powerset interactions. I have thugs/time, robot/time, robot/elec robot/kin, robot/empath and demon/elec that have all been able to run 4/8 content but they all have specialized IO builds. I have two non 50/IO'D MM's that running on higher difficulties is difficult (beasts/nature, and demons/trickarrow) but that's due to the fact that the toons aren't slotted yet. Wow I just realized how many robot MM's I have, I swear 3 of them were built as a fire farming project though.
  2. The biggest case I am aware of is ignoring Rommy's stun.
  3. If you're still looking at a good plant controller variant. Plant/TA is absolutely amazing and you still burn everything in sight.
  4. Honestly you're not wrong about keeping up with a 10 year old. We got the first on the way but way back when I was in 3rd grade, I built a deck for my mom for mother's day with my dad, and I was running tape, marking measurements on the boards and using the chop saw to cut 2x4s for my dad who was supposedly mounting and drilling them onto the deck accordingly. Eventually I had to grab a drill and help him too. But then again this was a different age when it was socially acceptable for your dad to have power tools and was considered normal if your dad had taught you how to use them safely.
  5. I have an Savage/Regen Brute and it's alright, but it's not my favorite. Perhaps that's because of my powerset combination of savage/Regen, where maybe I'd enjoy it on a different secondary more so. In all fairness though I have 121 lvl 50 toons to juggle play time of and the savage/Regen doesn't get much of it.
  6. Solution is: give other AT's using SR the same choice Sentinel SR gets with either Practiced Brawler or Master Brawler. I personally like Practiced Brawler to stack mez protection but can see why someone might want a weaker mez protection and not have to click a button.
  7. I don't specifically remember any of the development team stating they are addressing procs other than noting that proc interactions are broken in irradiated ground. There's been a vocal few who have suggested that procs are overtuned. Personally I think the values for procs are fine, and if anything is wonky it's the PPM Proc Formula. That said I personally enjoy leveraging procs in a number of my toons as I feel it allows a greater build diversity, and to remove their usefulness may pigeon hole us and minimize potential choices while maintaining the effectiveness of our toons. I do not think an overall adjustment of proc interactions and proc rates as something with enough salience to merit displacing other avenues of development. But maybe that's just me.
  8. Ice/dark/dark. You lay down tarpatch slowing them down and debuffing their resistance, he holds agro in the middle and swings his sword. You get team stealth, and darkest night/fearsome stare to really Debuff their tohit. And you have buildup ice storm/blizzard which really shine with scourge. You also get -Regen in the heal and aoe to soften up AV's if you two are doing anything hard. The /dark allows you to take oppressive gloom chain stunning minions, and potential for Perma drain soul should you actually IO it at some point. It's an amazing combo
  9. My DA/SS tank uses Oppressive Gloom to stun stack. It is really effective. Not Dark Armor but, my Ice/Dark Miasma/Dark Mastery Corruptor uses Oppressive Gloom to stun minions to effectively mitigate their chance to attack me, pairing that with Tar Patch and Darkest Night it makes it like they aren't even there (but then again when I drop ice storm they are deleted anyways). Once again not Dark Armor but inspired by Dark Armor, my Warshade's Inky Aspect can also help stun lock minions. It can be really effective using it on targets without natural mez protection (case in point try and solo a Moonfire TF as a Warshade, and let me know how your solo fight with Arakhn goes when she stuns you with inky aspect). Realistically all the variants of Oppressive Gloom are really cheap to run and by set design you should have some ability to mitigate the health cost. The stun may not be absolutely necessary in City of Nukes, but it can be a great mitigation tool, especially stacked. Cloak of Fear however I personally find lacking, with the low accuracy rate and mobs getting tagged with Death Shroud breaking their fear almost as soon as they get it. The Tohit Debuff is the best aspect of the power but on a well built toon using IOs doesn't seem to be the best return on investment. Death Shroud thematically is one of two powers that are the backbone to the dark armor theme, the other being Cloak of Darkness. A PBAoE damage aura is pretty much a must take on any toon that gets one as the ticks do add up, but it also helps with agro control. It's not the best with procs by design but offers decent slotting choices for chasing set bonuses.
  10. Never done this before but here's something for you to read /jranger.
  11. Kudos for using Bamf! Always a big fan of Nightcrawler, so I thought Kitty's bedtime story creating them was great.
  12. Sounds like you need to be aware of your weaknesses and priority target the sapper, much like kheldians have to prioritize a quantum. Honestly I think WP is reasonably fine as is. Edit: that said if there was an end mod proc that added some end drain res, I would be alright with that as you would have to make the conscious choice to adjust your build to fit it in and it could be of use to other characters as well. Otherwise chasing defense and dodging the end drain or taking aegis are options.
  13. Ah I didn't realize you were leveling this. All my toons are automatically lvl 50 when I roll them or so it seems the next day so all my builds are final builds meant to decimate any does in my paths at either lvl 50 or exemplared down. So I can see why you can't slot the purples just yet.
  14. I would take a time/rad as a defender. Using power boosted far sight, manuevers, weave, cj, etc. it's pretty easy to build your positional defenses. This allows you more opportunity to proc bomb your attacks and the -def component allows for you to make sure you fit in plenty of procs. If I was going water, I might lean more towards corruptor as for scourging whirlpool, add in whirlwind, and play the toon like the Bermuda triangle sucking everything back in time. Either way they could both be interesting.
  15. Looks similar to how I would of rolled it. I'd suggest swapping the slotting of confuse with mass confuse. I like contagious in confuse to allow it to effect more then one from lvl 8 on. You'll have the same set bonuses here so no net change. On Oil Slick, play around on the proc damage proc rate calculator as I'm pretty sure you can get a recharge IO in there without drastically effecting your proc rates, if you can that will be a net improvement to how often you can decimate mobs with Oil Slick. Make sure to take taser darts to ignite it.
  16. You mean to tell me that you don't have people take turns cycling fold space to pull in mobs to the bowl? Where people are laying down aoe debuffs and damage to pop the targets before they can actually attack in the bowl. I figure taunt is only useful for stragglers.
  17. I would slot mystic flight for either kb protection or slow resistance. Your stealth IO can go into sprint or a prestige sprint. I get your chasing ranged defense, but I don't know if how your going about it is the best use of the slots. I'm not home so I don't have mids access atm to check. But with the slotting that you go for it leaves me feeling that you are dedicating so many slots to it especially in subpar powers. Personally unless you're always going to be hovering I'd change hover to combat jumping. But that's just my preference.
  18. So... Rock Armor, Geode, Earth's Embrace, Upthrust, and Beryl Crystals. Not necessarily all in that order.
  19. View, advanced totals, Debuff resistance. Or something like that in the app.
  20. Do I still need to log in?
  21. I personally would find it difficult to impossible not to proc bomb rad therapy and ground zero, but maybe that's just me. I'll keep my two mini nukes and grab a six pack of beer.
  22. I make sure any of my toons can reasonably solo +4x8 defenders included. That said after I verify they can I usually drop the difficulty as I do a lot of speed runs. I'd keep the difficulty maxed if there was more merit reward or a higher drop chance for purples/PvP IOs but I don't worry about XP/Influence.
  23. If you're still having issues with this mission at 6pm eastern I can boot up one of my toons and help you with the mission. With a 20 mob ambush, do you have your notoriety settings so you are x2-8 as opposed to it just set for a solo hero? That would impact the spawn sizes.
  24. I have a couple Corruptors where I have boxing or kick 6 slotted with touch of death, and they are in the tray and get cycles especially when exemplared. Mind you I needed to 6 slot them for my builds as I was trying to softcap melee and ranged at the same time. That said I have a few toons like my warshade that use a proc'd out cross punch and it hits reliably hard. All the powers I pick end up in a tray unless they are an auto power, but mind you I play with 6 trays as well.
  25. Ideally with enhancements. That said, I'd suggest using mids and planning on a build and trying to put one together for yourself. With Time Manipulation and Defender buff values, it's probably not a far fetched idea to build for positional defenses, as you can power boost farsight.
