  1. Hmmm. Personally I'd probably built it out to aim for softcapped melee/ranged defense and pad S/L resistance. The seismic force is enough for me to likely not be a flier, but that's just me, as it feels like it was designed to be on the ground. Personally I might be a bit selfish, but speed boost seems over slotted to me. I understand your going after the 3.75 ranged in preemptive but figure there's more efficient avenues to pursue if your dropping in 6 slots to it. My thought process for a kin corruptor is about getting in fast with stacked siphoned speed, holding up to the attacks while I drop fulcrum shift and then go to town kicking ass. Since you'll be at damage cap, you have more flexibility in your alpha slot, destiny should be clarion for mezzes, interface and judgment dealers choice, as for hybrid either assault radial to proc an extra attack (core is pretty useless as you're already at damage cap), or melee for more resistance or defense based on how your build ends up.
  2. I do a lot of themed runs of all sorts of TFs. I've done an all electric it'd before and it's very fun. Tonight on the Future ITF, I ran a robot Electric/Psi Dominator, and I had pretty much everything sapped. If we had an Elec blast toon with us they would of seen an awful lot of Shocked mechanic usage in play.
  3. Ran all 4 of these tonight, with the slight modification to the 4th one, opened it up for any AT/powerset as long as the character theme was an alien.
  4. I've decided that with all the love for the ITF, @Ukaseexcluded, I shall be running several themed ITFs this evening on Everlasting starting approximately at 6:15pm Eastern. Themes tonight will be (this list is not necessarily exclusive): Elemental. Let's get together and summon Captain Planet. The Future. Love Robots, Quantum Computers, and AI here we come. The American. Bring guns and other weapons. We got Aliens too. All Kheldian. For the sake of brevity since we all have other stuff to do as well, they will be ran as casual speedy ITFs. Definitely not kill all's or even most, and just out there to shoot the shit, and by shit I mean nazis, aliens, mythological creatures, and roman traitors.
  5. Why not just add a weapon skin for dual blades that are escrima sticks or batons? Less work that way.
  6. It's often times one of those picks for me as well, unless my build plan would reasonably allow it lower such as lvl 30ish since mobs in the manticore tf can taunt you. That said the effectiveness of it varies by AT, and then by the chosen Powersets. For example, I wouldn't imagine any sane kinetics toons to also have assault when we're constantly skirting the damage cap anyways.
  7. You can make builds that require respecing into them, since when respecing you pick all your powers first and then all your slots. It is the only way to do things like 6 slot your lvl 49 power should you choose to do so. So on Mids you can change the options to allow slotting based on traditional leveling or how it is in respecing. Most builds made are final builds as the ride to 50 is as Thanos says Inevitable.
  8. Is it just me, or since the map update in Cimerora has the cave map for mission 2 become fixed to be a cave over by Tommy's castle? I must have run about 30 or so ITFs over the last couple of months and it seems the cave is always over there now.
  9. Personally I think all mobs in the AE should be able to be lvl 1-54 it would allow people more variety to tell stories. That would address your leveling issue.
  10. It can work, although as an active farmer. If I'm using a brute to farm, I typically like to have it have dual damage auras so if I put it in afk mode, it still does a pretty decent job clearing mobs. Rad/Dark or Rad/Elec work well in that regard for S&L. Otherwise you can also build a Rad/Fire to do S&L as well, and then you can get the bonus of burn. Why I like the passive mode, is I'll have the farmer working while I'm logged on with another account actually playing content or running TFs. So it's a nice means of getting some decent drops.
  11. It's standard practice to slot at least the guassian proc in invincibility as it has a chance then to proc off of each mob affected by invincibility, so it tends to fire pretty decently. Slotting set bonuses for damage doesn't add too much in my opinion but finding places to add damage procs and -res procs help. Also defen -maxhp, and assault hybrid help too.
  12. Ah I just sort of figured since you're the Mastermind of the Trade Consortium, all trades on the market no matter how small somehow go through you, or one of the henchmen you employee to act on your behest. I can see why individual returns can be problematic.
  13. I guess it seems like a perfect place to slot those extra Avalanche IOs. I actually have this power on my Elec/kin/Elec corruptor and although I didn't slot it with pbaoes, that's a great catch. I completely missed it as I just autopilot slotted in some Basilisks just the other night.
  14. Well my LotG for 675.mil I assume went to a normal person, because @Yomo Kimyata for instance has a history of trying to return excess influence to people that added extra zeroes, and I never saw a post asking if someone lost north of half a bil on an IO. Luckily it didn't break my bank, so hopefully it went to someone that could of really used it.
  15. You could as you get XP for getting exploration badges, but it's not hitting lvl 50 for sure.
  16. I'm a big fan of support toons in the game. Hell I used to main a PvP Empath Def back on live. Its no secret that I have tons of toons, I talk about them, sometimes probably more than enough. That said like @Snarkymentioned debuffs are the king of support, with one exception, a well built kin for those sweet stacked FS trips to Damage Cap land. A lot of people build IO builds that turn blasters and other Squishies into tanks. Hell I've tanked AV's using defenders with Provoke, and that's not wrong. The issue though is in the current meta controls and some buffs feel less useful, especially for low difficulty content. Luckily playing the game at higher difficulties helps increase their use, and further playing @Linea's AE missions will require more support, along with the new challenge mode the HC Devs have begun implementing. Otherwise as othera have stated playing the game before some set bonuses activate can be a niche area for support too. That said I've never turned a controller or defender away. They are some of my favorite characters to use. I understand that even though I build my toons to be relatively self sufficient, others on whatever team I happen to be on may potentially really need extra support. I will add though, it's fun to see people complain about buffs to enemy npc groups like Creys, which just mean those teams might find need of some support as well.
  17. Sadly there's no recompensation. I've made the mistake before of buying a LotG for 675 million before rather than 6.75 million. Biggest lesson I can impart is take your time, know the system is glitchy, and don't buy IO's to slot out a toon when on your 4th Dragon Milk stout of the evening.
  18. The biggest issue I have with Dark Consumption is the base 6 minute recharge. Even heavily slotting for recharge you can get it down to around the 2 minute mark but I just don't see how much utility use it has. Even without taking Dark Pit, Oppressive Gloom will still stun minions, so that's extra mitigation and you have life drain to top yourself off. I'm personally putting together the inverse of primary/secondary of this build as a corruptor ATM with an ice/dark/dark. And I agree that the teleport binds are extremely beneficial, especially for dropping back to maximize your cones.
  19. I built a rad armor stalker to test making a resist set on a non tank/brute and was honestly surprised how strong rad armor on a stalker can be. I'm at work so I don't have all the stats with me, but it seems to play more like a brute who occasionally drops agro via a hide roll to crit 1 second later and remind them that the party isn't over until I say so.
  20. This thread and the conversation is has produced has been enlightening to me. I've always seen myself as a power gaming outlier, that I forget people enjoy a slow pace. I'm over here triboxing, watching Netflix, drinking a beer, playing with my dog, and talking to my wife about names and ultrasounds. If you ever see me in game I'm zipping around ready to rush and crush whatever objective. If you saw my fingers though on the keyboard I look like an over caffeinated college kid trying to write a 50 page paper in one night before a 9am class. Sometimes I'll hit a key 4 times waiting on the animation and wondering why it's moving so slow that I have time to change my laundry over to the dryer before I can attack again. Like I said I'm an outlier and definitely have a problem.
  21. Another candidate that works really well is EM/SD. Honestly all three have potential to be very strong. You can't go wrong, unless you slot them really weird.
  22. Ah that is surprising, as I assumed it would boost them, but if it doesn't Amped Up is kinda meh. The rest of the set is still pretty good overall though.
  23. What would you change about Vigilance if you had a free pass at it? And like I said I wasn't sure about 20% that was more or less a placeholder with the idea of making the inherent more active of a sorts .
  24. I was thinking again about Vigilance, and didn't want to post a new suggestion about it when this one is only a few months old... But, what if we got Vigilance wrong from the start. What if Vigilance caused defenders to have a chance to roll a critical heal, buff, or debuff similar to how a scrapper gets critical damage? Defenders are so vigilant to their cause that whether through sheer will, luck, desperation, or divine/diabolical intervention occasionally their buffs, debuffs, heals, etc. will proc an extra 20% modifier to boost that effect being used. The scaling bonus damage based on team size can stay, but this would give defenders a little extra flourish to help them cement their place as the best buffer/debuffer in the game. Is 20% too much, too little, just right, or am I being completely outlandish with this idea?
  25. If you were to add a 5th, I'd give some consideration to Elec Affinity since the team is obviously well coordinated and can say inside the faraday cage for the resistance and extra mez protection to stack with dispersion bubble/sonic disperson. Amped Up can help the FF really boost up the Def on those bubbles, plus you now have some healing, absorb layers, and extra end and tohit. Hell honestly an 8 person group of corruptors each with a different secondary would be really good as well. They are just so versatile.
