  1. This wouldn't be easy, but run events based on AE missions and arcs worth rewarding. Have that content give normal rewards. Make event related badges. Give AE content creators rewards(badges) as well. Until people have a genuine incentive to play in AE they won't unless it is to farm.
  2. They are all of two seconds ahead of brutes. Based on brutes added mitigation, then yeah, those are "sucktacular" times. Also, there's no context for the missions. I've seen what mobs do when given a damage aura on a brute versus scrapper.
  3. Because brutes can still be made to handle the vast majority of content fine as is and still crank out solid damage. I keep deleting scrappers are they are still squishier compared to brutes and rolling them as a brute or stalker depending on the power sets. Also, brutes handle aggro better than scrappers which means brutes don't have to deal with runners as much.
  4. Smashing/Lethal/Energy.
  5. Honestly, stalker. The burst damage feels more blaster or at least blapper than what a scrapper does. Yes, a scrapper can do more AoE, but a stalker to me feels more like going up to a mob and picking out what needs to die asap and being able to pull it off in short order. Some stalker builds pull off decent AoE and then there is Elec/shield and the dual ability to not break Hide. .
  6. My level 41 hardcore blaster who survived numerous possible team wipes on Live would like to have a word with you. Go blaster. To add, I finally found a sentinel I like, Fire/ea, and yes, it can be more careless and it feels a bit like an AT for newbies or one for those who want to play more of a suicidal blaster style with less repercussions, but I would still take a blaster over it in the end. You can make a blaster safer due to smart play. You can't say the same for damage and a sentinel. I have yet to see a team go from point A to B faster than a heavy blaster team when it comes to PUGs.
  7. In short, Sundays are going to be terrible for me for awhile.
  8. I think Savage with regen, wp, or invul would likely be the best thematic pairings.
  9. Father's Day is today so I'm not sure how many are logging in at 3.
  10. I would default to adding on control, but Ice/ice won't lack it. I think part of the answer needs to be do you plan on just being a duo or do you plan on playing together on teams? If you plan on playing on teams a lot, I would lean more towards something more AoE based when it comes to your damage.
  11. Far easier to try and find a support character to be the 4th person versus dragging along a dual boxed character. Partly depends on the server, but if I knew I was going to have issues building a team, I would post about doing it on the relevant server page here.
  12. The benefit of Rad is being able to slot -res procs.
  13. One pro for Ice is that it works better for a Corr as the rains benefit more from scourge.
  14. I would go /elec. It adds a damage aura, end recovery, and +recharge. I also prefer resist based sets on brutes.
  15. Almost done lawn moving, and will log on then.
  16. I basically came to this conclusion recently on a SS brute I have. Adding in Spring Attack for more AoE as well. Hurl was an easy drop for me. I actually have more slots than I need for commons at an initial glance so I still need to work on the build and then obviously see what works for an IO set based build.
  17. Masterminds. I had one on live, but here I just simply can't be bothered. Doms would be another but I rolled an Earth/earth and loved it.
  18. To be fair, scrappers get more out of Shield in terms of damage. Also note brutes get more out of /wp since it is partly based on regen and more HP fuels that.
  19. Invite doesn't seem to be valid anymore. If you log onto Discord, you can search for the Everlasting Defenders server.
  20. If I had a guess, I would say you are white.
  21. I lean with brutes when resist sets are factored in. More HP and a better resist cap.
  22. Depends. If you want a degree in Computer Science, absolutely. We are talking Calc 3 level of math. If you simply want to make websites, then no. Do note the emphasis on math is vastly due to proving how good you are with logic puzzles. Someone with e CS degree could just about never code as part of the curriculum as where a software engineer is going to do a lot of coding getting their degree. Even getting my Associates in CS, I had all of two classes where I turned on a computer and a number of math classes. If you want to code for websites, software engineer is a good lean. If you want to program rockets, lean CS.
  23. Adding in +5 diff setting will limit teams as people will have to look for builds which can handle it. There are already teams which run level 50 content with whoever or with level 35+. Now you might start to get teams looking for level 50s only. Also, it will have to be something else the HC team needs to balance. Case in point, I have been on level 50 teams running +4 when I am sked. That means I'm -5, and to be honest hitting things can be an issue. Now you want players to be facing mobs while -6? Add in some mobs can mop up certain teams at +4. +5 is only going to make that a bigger issue.
  24. Rad is essentially Dark with a crappier heal, less utility, and more AoE and more so not on a stalker. I have 3 Rad melee characters, but I think only one might make it to 50. Rad/bio brute because, well duh. 🙂 I'm not a fan of the animations either.
