In the list of annoying things I have found from people you need to rescue are the ones who can't keep pace with you when you have zero movement powers on, no movement bonuses from IOs, and are walking in a straight line on an even plane.

I just did this tonight as well. As soon as I saw the name, I was like, "Oh yeah, THAT guy." I have successfully completed this mission once. Once.

Can you build around pool powers as main attacks?
Without_Pause replied to Mashugana's topic in General Discussion
Case in point: Project Will does 1.16 * Ranged damage. Has a recharge of 5 seconds and has an end use of 7.54. Cast time is 2.244 with Arcanatime factored in. Arcane Bolt does 1.54 * Ranged damage. Has a recharge time of 7 seconds and an end cost of 9.62. Cast time is 1.98 with Arcanatime factored in. Recharge and end cost can be slotted for and thus reduced down. The difference in damage is going to only get worse. If Project Will is to be the quicker attack, then it should have a quicker animation time. -

Depends. I think some of them are worth taking as noted above. I did look into trying some out and came away less than impressed with Project Will and Wall of Force due to their animation times. They are straight up worse than anything from Psi Blast. I was going to use them with a Psionic melee character but decided against it after playing around with them. -
Switch CJ and SJ. You can also get the jump packs from P2W and buy a Flight power there for 1 mil. Steam Jump pack and Athletic Run are two of the instant things I get for a new character. I have one build with just SS for travel and another with none, so outside of unlocking some temps powers, it is easier to sub in stuff from the P2W vendor. Logging out in Grandville or the Shadow Shard also gets you you a rechargeable Fly power via the Dimensional Explorer badge.

If mobs are being defeated that quickly, a lot of things aren't needed.

What are your favorite things about Sentinels?
Without_Pause replied to Galaxy Brain's topic in Sentinel
I've seen video of at least one blaster doing it Master style. I'm still not sure how often that gets done among players though. I liked my Fire/ea although he vastly sits at 43. I'll get him to 50 at some point. I think my biggest issue with the AT is it lacks an identity. -
I would use it for the rest of the team. Also, if you really want to drop into any map on whatever diff setting while solo, more mitigation is always welcome.

Interestingly enough I found GW's AI really good when I had to lead her out. She even saw through me having stealth.

New Badges for things I was going to do anyway

One for every 10 levels you solo a build only to find out it doesn't work for you. -
Savage is good, but Hemo needs to be reworked and the slowest cast time for StJ is 2.17 so hence the fast feel for it. Only Kat has a faster longest cast time power. Consolidated notes from leveling some builds. Savage, see above. I have a Level 22 Savage/rad Brute and Level 21 Dark/savage Tank on somewhat hold right now. Psionic needs Insight to be reworked. Level 20 Psi/dark Brute is on hold. Soloed a Rad/kat to 22 and decided the lower damage of a Tank with lethal damage can make for some boring soloing. I kept the build but stripped the IOs out for now. I might come back later to it but put it on teams. Rad/kat became Rad/ice. Rad was super smooth to level. Also trying Ice on a Stalker as they get rid of the longer animation of GIS. Ice just feels incredibly solid and well balanced. Cast times are generally favorable. More so for non-lethal/smashing damage.

If that's what a recently redesigned site looks like, it looks like on the level of a college project. If they paid someone for it, they need their money back. I don't doubt it will come out. I'll repeat I think it has the best chance of being put out and being good, but everything about it looks old which is partly due to how long it has been in development. The UI for what I have seen in spots from images is honestly not good.
-
Personal opinion, StJ is a faster playing set so it just feels smoother.
-
Somehow I just remembered I got my StJ/ea Stalker to 50 using level 25 commons and didn't feel weak at all compared to anything else I have played, and it was the first build outside of my farmer to go all in on a build. I soloed a decent bit on it as well. I can't recall what I was soling at the end before hitting 50 though.

Cold also does resistance to -recharge but at +60% with Arctic Fog.

Emp isn't one I would pick for solo, but as a team support build, I found it fantastic. It felt better than any attempt I did on a Defender. Also, both love recharge so IOs and Incarnates give you a general direction.

A Dark/dark Dom should be fine in the end for what you want I'm not sure how well or not it will do against EBs as you level. Melee builds should also be fine. If you aren't looking for doing content on the side of x8 mobs, Tanks will rank lower. If you don't mind small(er) packs, Stalkers will be great for cranking through missions quite quickly if that's how you want to do things. Scrappers and Brutes are in the middle, but Brutes are fueled by Fury so lean towards bigger mobs. If Stalker/scrapper, I would look at EA for secondary although Stone is also getting much love in its revamp and addition to these ATs. I just don't have experience with it. EA also has a bit of stealth in it for Scrappers. Shield is also good, but it will take time to develop as the ride with EA is much smoother. If Brute, Invul is really strong. Primaries would lean heavily with Dark as it has a heal and a theme you like. It is more ST focused so that works better for soloing things like AVs. Dark/ea or Dark/invul are going to be hard to kill. Again, possibly going outside of your theme, but Energy melee is by far the best ST damage set so would be rather ideal for soling AVs. I already know my level 35 Em/en Scrapper is going to be one of my best if I go all in on building him. Dark amour is good for Brutes so if you want that theme with going something besides Dark for the primary. Rad melee also has a heal although less consistent, and a couple animations on the longer side, but the damage toggle is overly good for procs. Ice melee is a good mix of lesser resisted damage and controls. Soling AVs for ranged I would look at Beam with something which also adds good debuffs/-regen if possible. Dark does work here for Corrs and Defenders. Ice has enough controls to be more survivable. Soloing with a ranged character really is about hover blasting and having capped ranged defense. Dark blast does have a heal, but its ST damage isn't great. I would lean on Dark for damage since it is the least resisted unless Dark is beneficial in the other set and there's a reason for the damage to come from non-Dark sources(Bean with -regen, and EM because it is stupid good). If Dark is required, I would do Dark/ea as a Stalker or Scrapper. If not, Em/ea Scrapper. I prefer having more AoE on a Scrapper versus losing it and ramping up the already strong ST damage for a Stalker.

I dump currency into builds versus currency sitting around, so I consolidated currency from my main and a couple 50s I have been playing and bought 39. Might just wait for the market to go back to normal and resell them later on.
-
The actual difference is defenders gets 8% more heal and Corrs get 4% more recovery through set bonuses. The difference in procs are Defenders get a minor PBAoE Heal and a minor PBAoE Absorb as where a Corr gets minor PBAoE +End/+Health and Chance for +Neg damage. So, a Corr will get more end and damage solo. A Defender would likely get more self heals solo due to the proc and some Absorb so a bit tougher.

Uncommons can be had for cheap. I'm at the point where I don't slot commons unless they really are the only real option. I actually frankenslot the attuned ones which can be had at level 7 and 12 and slot them until I want to switch over. I put those in storage for the next character. What I do on the market can be done for under 2 mil as a starting point. I just repeat the process and add more of it until I am doing a stack of 10. I can log in the morning and be done in lets say 5 minutes. I pimped out 5 builds so far and my main just sits at the AH instead of using my farmer, who I use to level other characters and honestly have run once in two months due to having an item which increases drops. And yes, get a character to 50 and play them. Common level 50 recipes are overly good for their sale value. 10 mill on a 50 is like 2-3 nights of casual gaming. WP is a solid set, but once IOs and Incarnates are factored in, WP can have issues when pushed based on the situation.

Save the inspirs you get in the tutorial and then sell them on the market for some quick start up currency.

StJ/ea Stalker in game. Psi def is 18.16%. Toxic is 12.24%. Everything else is over 50%. S/L resist is 69.12%. But hey, take that WP against something which debuffs. I did it with my Brute at +1/x8 against BP and watched my health bar melt like butter and that's with IOs.
