I do the same thing except with dual pistols executioner shot 😁

I tried opening two super packs several months ago and had super bad luck. Between the two of them I was able to sell about 5 million worth of items. I vowed to never do it again. However, the itch struck again and I decided to try one more time. This time I decided to use a larger sample, so I bought 20. The results and estimated profits are below. Note the brainstorm ideas were converted to rare salvage, which I estimated 450k per. Merits = 3 converters, which I estimated 65k per. I put the 10% market fee in the cost at the bottom. In reality I got quite a bit more than this because several of my ATOs sold between 10-15m. Not sure why people were bidding so high on them. I also took the 1,350 converters and converted yellow recipes into about 500m influence.

My favorite scrapper is dark melee / shield defense. It has outstanding damage and is very survivable. I also have a war mace / shield defense scrapper. It does pretty good damage too, but isn’t as survivable. If I don’t have a good soul drain going on dark melee war mace has better damage, but with a good soul drain dark melee is better.

The way I do it is to buy converters with merits if I have them. Otherwise I buy them from the market. Then I convert yellow level 31 recipes. I stop converting when I get something that sells for 2m or more. This doesn’t really take a lot of converters because healing, range, melee, resist, endurance mod, defense, and even travel have options that fit that criteria. The only time I convert a lot is to turn a defense IO into LOTG defense, defense endurance, or 7.5 rech or a reactive defenses scaling resistance IO. Other than that I don’t chase IOs. Works out pretty well for me.

Thanks for the answer. I knew that in most every situation the stalker will do better damage due to assassins blades/focus and ATOs. It’s a no brainer on the normal sets that have build up. I just wasnt sure about dual blades due to blinding feint + attacks vitals in addition to the higher damage modifier. I’m glad to hear that it does better. Now I don’t feel bad about making one 😁. Just didn’t want to get one leveled and kitted out just to leave it to rot while I continued to use my scrapper. I have some slightly different slotting in my build, but I think it will probably be similar in performance to yours. It’s just hard to see the difference in mids as mids shows superior damage on everything for scrappers. Thanks again!

@SwitchFade quick question. I have a dual blades/EA scrapper and have been toying with the idea of a stalker. On the scrapper I can keep two stacks of blinding feint permanently which adds a nice damage boost. And I can use the attack vitals combo. Based on the wiki it looks like I wouldn’t be able to use the attack vitals combo as a stalker. Based on my mids builds the scrapper just hits so much harder on everything except for assassins blades. Im not sure if you have a scrapper version as well, but I’m just wondering if you think having access to assassins blades makes up for the loss of blinding feint + attack vitals + higher damage modifier all providing a consistent high damage bonus to the scrapper.

Yeah I’ve never thrown more than 3 slots at parasitic aura. Really all it needs is some recharge. As far as inexhaustible, you could throw a performance shifter+ endurance in there or a panacea proc/Numina proc and call it good. Though I do sometimes throw it 3 slots. id rather have the slots for attacks, dna siphon, and ablaitive carapace.

Snipped for brevity. I think the same way about rune of protection for defense sets. It offers a decent boost to survivability with 50% uptime. It is better than most t9 armors without the drawbacks.
-
As long as they have crashes I won’t be using them. They just aren’t worth it. Parasitic aura isn’t bad, but I also don’t go out of my way to fit it in like I would most t9 melee/blast powers. If it filled a hole rather than going overboard on what the mitigation set is already good at, and also did not have a crash, then that would be good. Honestly, as long as there are crashes I don’t see anything happening that will get people to seriously consider taking them.

Even though I have high recharge, I still personally run blinding feint + attack vitals 99% of the time. So, I put the critical strikes 50% crit chance proc (full set honestly) in vengeful slice so that when it procs it buffs your hardest hitter (sweeping strike). The scrapper strikes proc is a global bonus and thus doesn’t matter where you put it in. Thus I put it in 1k cuts. For sweeping strike, I use the Armageddon set (5 pieces including proc - no dam/rech). You can then either add in the obliteration damage proc for more damage or the fury of the gladiator -res proc for more damage on subsequent attacks. On high health targets I think the -res proc is probably better, but for general content I like the obliteration damage proc. For ablaiting, I use the hecatomb set (5 total including proc - no dam/rech) and the Achilles heal -res proc.

No problem. I edited my post above to include the build I currently run with for my SM/EA stalker. A couple things to note: I put this together when I was already level 50. You can work it a little to work with you as you level. You can replace purple sets on AOEs with obliteration and melee sets with crushing impact as you level. Those are usually my go-to sets prior to level 50. This build is also quite expensive so keep that in mind.

So, I got a AR/devices up to level 45 with set IOs. It survives decently. I enjoy using full auto. However, I am not very satisfied with the rest of the toon. The quick snipe on AR feels atrociously slow, which sucks a lot of the fun out of the set for me. I think I will probably try again with the energy secondary. Though I know that won’t change the snipe. Having more damage options from energy might make it more enjoyable. Not sure. I’ve shelved the idea for now as I have been working on a couple new tanks.
-
I’m away from my computer so can’t post my build, but I run savage melee with energy aura. EA is fantastic and is my favorite secondary. I take everything in EA except for disrupt and overload. Get all the types (Except psi) up to softcap first and foremost, but that is pretty easy to do even without taking maneuvers. Then I build for recharge, which energy aura also helps with the +20%. I personally also like to pick up rune of protection from the sorcery pool to supplement my resists. With decent recharge it is up 50% of the time. Between the resistance toggles, tough, set bonuses and rune you can have very solid resists 50% of the time. Between defenses, resists, and energize you have very good mitigation. Here are the totals: note rune of protection is on, hasten is on (2 seconds short of perma), hide is also on, but is in suppressed status so it displays in combat defense totals.

Ever since I learned how to do enhancement conversion I have had a much easier time funding alts. I took a few months off from converting and ended up going almost broke paying for my alts builds. In the last two weeks I took all of my merits and turned them into several thousand converters. I then converted several hundred uncommon recipes into various high demand IOs. I made about 1.5 billion in those two weeks. Now I’m burnt out on converting and will probably take another break from doing that until I go broke again.

Why so many Ancillary/Ppatron pools
Saikochoro replied to TIto Vendetta's topic in General Discussion
I take scorpion shield on all of my blasters as it makes hitting s/l/e softcaps much easier. I prefer defense based survivability over resistance based on squishy archetypes. That said, I don’t take mace mastery on any other archetype. Most of my melee archetypes go soul and some don’t take epics/patrons at all. -
I’ve started to get into tanker lately. Playing my SR/MA tanker almost feels like cheating haha. Pretty sure I can’t die on this combo. My Rad/SS tanker has way more damage than I ever thought a tanker would be able to put out and is very survivable to boot. I also started a shield/DM tanker because I love that combo so much on scrappers. So far, I think I still like it better on scrappers, but it is still fun.

I’ll second a dual pistols/martial combat blaster. It does have pretty good AoE and it’s fun factor is second to none.

Here is the build I am saving up for as it is ultra expensive. It is easily the most expensive build out of all of my characters, so keep that in mind. I like recharge, procs, and building for softcaps without incarnates so that I can take musculature. Here is the build: A few seconds short of perma hasten, but if you are in range of a couple foes it will easily be perma thanks to beta decay. Softcap to all types except negative and psi. Keep in mind though that there is no DDR. No resistance to speak of besides F/C as I use tough as a mule. Though you could turn tough on for some nominal S/L resists. Main attacks have procs. Positron cell is fully proc'd out. Also, I get to take musculature. Here are the totals:

Discussion: Disabling XP No Longer Increases Influence
Saikochoro replied to Jimmy's topic in General Discussion
I’ve bought and sold basilisks gaze enhancements several times in the last couple week. I never paid more than 2.5m for a buy now price. I would list at 2m and it would usually take 12-24 hours to sell for usually 2-2.5m. The highest I got for one was like 2.7m. I think a lot of it depends on time of day. -
Does Twilight Sons TF Smoke and Mirrors not reward 12 anymore? The unofficial wiki states 7, but whenever it always rewarded 12 when I ran it. Granted I haven’t run it for a few months.
-
I would second building for recharge over damage. I like to go for defense softcaps so that does take out a lot of wiggle room in sets. I used to use bio armor a lot because of offensive adaptation. That was until I realized I could get loads more recharge and also damage procs if I used energy aura or super reflexes instead. Not only did I attack MUCH faster, but often times the attacks themselves did more damage because of procs.

The Great Rare Salvage Sale - 6:30 Eastern - Sharp!
Saikochoro replied to Troyusrex's topic in The Market
I actually always list all my rare salvage for 1 inf. However, most I’ve ever listed at a time is like 50. -
Miracle + recovery is the best example of the display bug. It appears pretty often, but not always. Never bid more or expect to get more than 4.5m for it.

If they just replaced piercing rounds with a snipe/quick snipe I would be 1000% happy.
