  1. Unless, of course, a future update has the Menders going to Cimerora to stop midnighter meddling post ITF... There are ways to get it to work, features don't have to be excluded because I'd hope all of homecomings groundwork will lead to great things to come.
  2. No... Just no. 99.999% of the time the character will be junk. Imagine, getting only non damaging sleeps? Or only non elemental defenses? How about one attack from each different weapon attack (oh God, the redraw)? What about only teammate buffs? So many ways for a toon to have zero attacks except the first, brawl and the origin power. Oh,hell! What if all your powers were t9 defenses with horrid crashes? Or only auto powers? Or only MM pet buffs with no pets to buff? So many 100% useless possibilities. Or only t1 attacks with the lowest damage modifier? How would powerpools work? Are they included so you might only end up with all the travel powers? And why have the restrictions? I'm not gonna bother going further if I have one attack for 40 levels and losing one slot for a junk toon is nothing if I have 999 more. Also, why hope for a god-like character when you can just make one currently? The idea of a random primary set paired with a random secondary set could be cool though. If you have two defenses, at least you have power pools to get attacks from. Imagine an FA/Bio that has PP taunt and attacks.
  3. I believe powexecname should be pow_exec_name. At least it is on all my key binds, I don't do many macros.
  4. You can set the interface color to whatever you want (blue, red, orange, white, etc.) in the options menu. Once this is done it won't change between alignments. Maybe switching too much caused it to freeze, or perhaps you ever so slightly altered it in settings on accident.
  5. I'm not sure, but if the name is already taken it might not let you transfer. I may be thinking incorrectly on this, I'll try when I get home from work if no one else has an answer.
  6. I don't like meme attacks as a form of shutting down another person's opinion. And, the opinion that the paid for sets we're a touch of power creep, or a heaping of it (TW is probably the biggest offender), and could use a bit of a nerf sits fine with me. At the same time, sets like Regen and energy melee should have steps taken to return them to some semblance of what they were before their nerfs. I also agree Dom's/controllers could use better damage output. As it is now, they are my least enjoyable to solo. If a Dom is control/damage, none of its modifiers should be less than 1.00. Since controllers are control/support I'm more inclined to buy that. Dom's is really mind boggling as a partial damage AT that it was done that way. The example of the brutes vs tanks is really on point when comparing blasters and dominators. I also found the dom pet pointless, without support to keep it alive it was just an annoyance (immobilize, the one mass control that is up reliably from fight to fight just wasn't enough damage mitigation).

  8. No, I mean any buffer. I'm not maxed on anything. My highest resist is around 65, not close to 90, and defenses highest is around 30. Could be my build, but I'm more roleplay than min/max. Either way, one FF and it makes me untouchable. One thermal, and I rarely see my HP below 97.5%. Any buffer, any debuffer, and it's easier for the team too. Healers leave you too reliant on their reactive support as opposed to the proactive support of the other two. Ideally, though, yes. Kin + Rad has been the best support pair since I started playing back around issue 4. And that isn't surprising. Since +damage coupled with -resist/Regen is a pair that multiplies itself. Not sure why any of this matters, either. I've never been refused a team spot on any of my alts because I was on the wrong buff type, attack type, or anything (except when I joined a speed run team that did not advertise as being a speed run team).
  9. I completely agree. As an IOed/Incarnated out willpower brute, I'm ecstatic when I see a debuffer on the team. They make it so much quicker or easier for the whole team. I don't really enjoy +4 TFs unless a debuffer is present. Debuffer + buffer and that's the dream. I'll pass on healers. I'm more of a roleplayer and play with more of the roleplayer crowd than meta player, so maybe that's why I have this perspective.
  10. Issues arise when you try to hide beacons/portals. I had that issue, too. I fixed by ensuring some part of the beacon had direct line of sight to the portal. I know things can shift a little if they'd normally be out of bounds each time the base loads (a bug, I believe). This may be why the issue resolved itself before.

  12. The daleth ones (those that sound like FBZ locations) are not beacons to places in the game, but places you can choose in your base. If you only have the beacon, and no corresponding waypoint set somewhere in the base, you'll have this issue. It's been a while since I messed with these, but the waypoints are a different item and are even in a different tab if I'm remembering correctly. I was using them to get to each floor of a skyscraper I was working on so I could get above the upper invisible barrier when the ceiling is set to sky while not in base edit mode.

  14. Then why not list how they are different, why those differences are distasteful are undesirable, and offer anything that might be a way to improve this. Instead he discredited the experiences that many have had with PvP, flat out said pve isn't as competitive as PvE, and ignored that the toxic members of PvP having a much greater hands on way of griefing beyond trash talk and why they must be taken into account as very factual reasons why some people just don't bother with pvp. I've enjoyed PvP occasionally, with friends and guild mates. Never with open PvP. I've had level 70s chasing me through 30-35 zones, body campers, team v 1, the stalker in this game, and the all too common git who can't stop dropping duel challengers across my screen no matter how many times I decline who proceeds to verbally harass and abuse when he realized he isn't going to change my mind. You can't have that level of greifing in PvE. Just ignore and it's over in pve.
  15. Honestly, it really boils down to the toxic, meta subgroup being much more blatantly apparent in the style. You can ignore them in PvE for the most part, but in PvP they badge camp, gank you, then dance on your corpse and belittle you in broadcast. Until that changes, which the GMs and devs have no control over, I don't think you're going to change the mind of the majority of non-pvpers. In this game alone I had a stalker instant kill me at a badge, proceed to engage/defeat me at every subsequent badge, then call me a "Skittle popper" when I got sick of it and popped half a tray of purple/orange just to deny him one more kill on the way out of the zone. I vowed to never enter a PvP zone ever again after that. I'd be most likely to play arena... With friends or SG mates only.
  16. Then just make it permanent, give the copies health, and get rid of the whole not lasting long enough at low levels issue. The set is very close to an MM except commands as it is. Honestly, PA doesn't need a change. The lack of damage on illusion powers is the problem. Remove the heal from spectral wound and it'd probably be enough to fix most of it's solo mission slog pre Phantasm. I know why it has it, it does more damage than most other control starting powers, but unlike those it lacks a control aspect. Or make it a single target, damaging fear power so containment is applied by it.
  17. Triple the duration but make it so recharge doesn't start until it wears off. Keep recharge the same. It'll never be permanent this way, but given illusion only having two damaging attack (both single target), no immobilize, and no sleep. I think triple duration would be fine since they can be permanent, or very close to it, now.
  18. Unbiased opinion? Go for all three and see if you like any. Biased? I'd lean toward Corruptor's/defender for their AoE debuffs and team appeal.

  20. Mine is a necro/emp, probably not the best as it has no secondary damage mitigation for all the pets. I'm sure it's relative from set to set and build to build, but the point is it happens to pet/support specific types too. Blasters aren't support classes nor are they tanks, so it shouldn't be a surprise that in large groups their single pet is being killed quickly in melee, especially when summoning mid fight cause each second the blaster isn't doing damage is a second they aren't maintaining aggro.
  21. Nothing needs to be changed. I'm assuming this is +4/x8 content because judgement incarnate powers were mentioned as your method of aggro control. The gun drone follows you. It gonna go into the group alongside the blaster if you are insisting on playing as a blapper. The aoes/bosses from +4/x8 are gonna melt the gun drone no matter if it's drawing aggro or not. Furthermore, not being a tank/brute, you won't maintain an entire groups aggro for very long no matter how hard you're hitting (if you did, tanks would be useless for aggro control with a single blaster in the mix). You've even admitted the gun drone is fine on a hover blaster but not your blapper. I think you're just experiencing what every pet class already knows in +4/x8 environments. Pets are nearly useless in that setting. It's so bad on my MM I usually fall back and just focusing on support for the team rather than keep up pets cause they flatline so quickly. Seriously, it takes one rogue +4 boss to wipe out an MMs top pet in 1-2 hits, your gun drone doesn't stand a chance.
  22. It's the fur shoulders for boleros in the primary chest option tab for the female model. There is this, none, and an imperial dynasty shoulder option for robes I seem to recall. I believe it has been ported to tights, tops with skin, and one or two others as well.
  23. I don't understand the point of this post. Is it to merely point out the fact that sexual innuendo exists? If so, better just get your giggles out of it and move on. Changing this is an uphill battle that even Sisyphus wouldn't bother with.
  24. An external, automation program sounds sketchy to me. You may want to verify that doesn't violate ToS before recommending/using that. I mean AFK farming these things feels sketchy to me, but at least the mechanics of the game itself lets you do this.
  25. FYI, your argument was to leave it the "F alone" and to support your argument you used popularity stats. Had you instead said "Regen IS popular" as a counter to the OPs statement that it wasn't then you would be in the right currently. So, if the stats were to argue it is actually popular I would like to see your argument why it doesn't need to be looked into. Me, I remember Regen with toggle instant heal. It was an amazing set back then AND popular. As it stands now, without toggle IH, a character struggles to survive the Beta strike. MoG is a joke compared to the already laughable T9 defenses out there. Both of these make Regen an underwhelming choice. The popularity comes from characters like Wolverine and Deadpool, but ever since IH was detoggled it hasn't had the oomf you'd expect as shown by those two popular chacters. I'd like to see IH a toggle again, even if it isn't the godly rate of early CoH. Stalker Regen, after getting one to 50, I don't think needs to be touched. With hide I feel it's easy to get enough to mitigate the lack of insane Regen with none IO defense. And since it is toggle light I didn't have much end issues. Still, though, if I want a Regen character I'm usually going to go with willpower as Regen stands right now. Without insane Regen, the set just doesn't provide enough survivability to go with.
