  3. I still find it odd (in a good way) that the week I decide to roll a Stone/Regen Brute; there erupt a bevy of such posts on the Forums! I'll take random luck for 1,000, Alec (R.I.P). He just hit 50 last night so when I get home I'm going to start the IO'ing process. Put in some low-ball bids last week. At the time of this post, I've been successful with 43 bids. I really wanted high recharge of 100%+ but couldn't find a good way to get there and wound up with 98% Recharge (168 w/Hasten), 32% Defense to S/L & 58% Resistance to S/L and around 20%-ish defense to other types save psi/toxic. Not at all sure if it'll be enough for end game, incarnate stuff but I guess that's why we have teammates. Stone's Fault and Tremor are some great, active mitigation in my test runs. It probably doesn't need to be rehashed here but I'd absolutely kill for +Absorb to be added to Regen. I am trying to purchase the Preventitive Medicine IO that grants a chance of +Absorb but Regen could use a Native source of such things in my opinion. My previous use of Stone Melee has me convinced that the Winter IO melee set is the very best fit for Seismic Smash possible. From lowering its massive End & Recharge and adding a chance to stack Hold Mag on a Boss Level mob is that rare perfect fit that I've come to adore in CoX. So I'll get back here in the following days when he's fully IO'd and report on my in game experience with the set in post-50 level content. Here's hoping the -Regen out there doesn't just crush me into a green hued paste.

  6. Thrilled to be able to fly through the City once again. However, I'm not the same 20 year old kid I used to be when it went Live. Between work, wife, kids and everything else; I'm lucky if I can sneak in an hour a week. There's something to be said for playing through but AE is just a fact of life here in the City.
  7. If your not already working on Fire/TA/Fire you should at least consider doing so. Looking like it'll be an end game monster both solo and in a team setting.

I personally love the set in Testing and as a lifelong fan of the Blapper lifestyle for Dominators; I was interested in know that makes for a fantastic Blaster Primary to Blap with? I was thinking Electric or Radiation give their PBAoEs and targeted AoEs.
  10. So here's the thing. I've got this 50 Dark/Storm/Mace Corruptor AE Baby just sitting in my stable and I don't know what to do with it. I've got very little understanding of Corruptors in general but some play time with Dark themed characters (See: Dark/Dark/Mace Dominator, Dark/Dark/Psi Controller and multiple Dark Melee characters). I want/plan to do end game & incarnate action with it but I'm not sure if I play it as a debuffing blaster or support/control? Worse, I don't know how to build it correctly. My thoughts are softcapped to Range and a mess of +recharge to poop out as many Lightning Storms and Nados as humanly possible? Let me know how you'd approach this?   16. Thanks for the build. I had considered the Psi Pool for dominate but I don't think I can pass up Soul Drain just yet. How's the World of Confusion power? I think I had tried it on a Blaster of mine from back on Live but didnt feel like it was doing all that much for me. Is it better now? Looks like you skipped Poison's Hold; I might do the same and just focus on the epic one. I'll get working on my own for review. I'd really like to hit the soft cap for S/L and Ranged but I don't see how it is I'm going to get there with the Soul Mastery Pool. Maybe the debuffs and higher Res numbers will be enough. I have my doubts given how squishy Defenders typically are.
  17. While I have zero intention of PvP'ing; I was thinking of making a Poison/Rad. The proc potential seems amazing but I have no idea how it is I'll keep him alive. I was really hoping to delve into Soul Master for my Patron Pool for the glory that would be Soul Drain > Irradiate > Neutrino Bomb > Atomic Blast. It's single target capabilities also have me drooling with Cosmic Burst > Proton Volley > Paralitic Hold > Soul Hold. I'm unsure if this attack chain will be clunky and maybe I only need one of the Holds? Anyway, this was just a long winded way of me asking if you had any build ideas I could look through. Thanks.
  18. Just my experience from back on Live. I had an Elec/Nrg "Blapper" that attempted to leverage the End Drain from Elec with Power Build Up from Energy Secondary. A fringe case to be sure but it was possible to do back then ((12 years ago...))

  20. How does it play. I'm looking at the powers and see a lot of single target ranged attacks, a cone and a PBAoE. Is it best to dart in and out of combat with it? Did y'all take the Leadership pool to stack with Tactical Powers?
  21. Melee Dominating is the very best BANG! FOR YOU BUCK in all of CoX* For my money, you can't beat getting danger close to your quarry, holding them down via control and proceeding to arrest them with hard hitting, quick activating melee attacks. For reference I play: Ice/Stone/Ice Ice/Nrg/Ice Ice/Psi/Ice Fire/Stone/Fire Fire/Savage/Fire Fire/Nrg/Soul Elec/Psi/Psi Elec/Nrg/Primal Elec/Stone/Mu As you may have noticed; I've only rolled Primaries that have a PBAoE control toggle. This wasn't by accident or mistake. Get up close and break faces. Plant and Dark are fine, fine sets but I find them lacking in visceral crunch factor.
