  1. Yeah that's true... They'd have to make a new combo piece; Maybe tie it to a Longbow related badge? That's such an ad hoc solution. What they should do is split symbols into their own category separate from 3D chest details, because this limitation affects more than just Longbow cosplayers.

  5. One thing I do not want is the animation changed. It's too cool. That used to be Back Alley Brawler's signature move. They actually gave us a signature character's unique move! Just buff the damage so the DPA is better, and maybe other aspects of the set to improve EM. But don't remove that great animation.
  6. If I had my druthers, the T1 power in Regeneration would be Revive, and it'd have a super short recharge, like 30 seconds. Fast Healing and Quick Recovery would be one power, with an extra 25% unenhanceable Regeneration buff (to make up for not being able to stick one healing SO in Fast Healing, since presumably people would slot for Recovery). The new T8 power would be a no-recharge toggle that, while active, changes the Heal in Dull Pain and Reconstruction to +Absorb, so you could turtle up in anticipation of a big hit while at full health.
  7. And yes the game should still be balanced around SOs because nobody starts at level 50. Any changes made should take the whole game into account. The point I was making here is that compared to other powersets, SS is *even stronger on SOs than it is on IOs*. So, if you want to argue for a reversal of the nerf on the basis of "balance", you probably don't want to look too closely at SO balance... Between IOed out builds, SS shares the top with a fair few others. But on a SO build, it's rather easy to herald SS as the king of melee. Best to pick arguments that help your desired goal, rather than work against it. Could you provide some examples? I've never heard anyone making this sort of claim about the set so I'm curious to see your math. I think they just mean that once IOs' recharge bonuses start coming into play, Rage recharges more and starts crashing more.

Another idea I had for an Equivalent Power, for Electricity Manipulation: Fire and Ice Manipulation's i24 Sustain powers are their aura abilities, changing them from expensive toggles to run to free debuff/damage auras that give nice buffs to yourself as well. Electricity has a damage aura as well, in Lightning Field, but it was Lightning Clap that became the Sustain ability instead. I think the reason for this is that Lightning Field drains endurance, and putting a +Recovery on it would let you slot for both at once with end mod enhancements, which could potentially be too good. They couldn't remove the end drain, because players that used Lightning Field for that would cry foul. This is a perfect place to put an Equivalent Power: Overcharged. It's a damage aura like Lightning Field, same damage, but no end drain. Instead, it increases Recovery and Regeneration. Lightning Clap comes back as an Equivalent Power for Force of Thunder. This set of powers would be a little different, in that taking one would lock out two other powers instead of just one. You can have Force of Thunder and Lightning Field, or Overcharged and Lightning Clap; you can't combine Force of Thunder and Overcharged or Lightning Field and Lightning Clap.

  13. If you complete the arc for Interrogator Kang in Imperial City, Dr. Steffard disappears from the zone. However, Luke Larson still introduces Dr. Steffard as if nothing is different. Ideally, completing Interrogator Kang’s arc should cause Luke Larson to then introduce Seer 1381, the contact Dr. Steffard normally introduces, instead.
  14. If you just aim at "equivalents" sure, but if you aim to fix sets that underperform, then you could "get rid" of bean bag without removing it from those players that like it. Sentinels got rid of it in exchange of Aim, and they are better for it. Also: bean bag happens to be exactly at the spot where you would have Aim. Aiming for equivalent is exactly the point of the suggestion. It’s to add flavor and player choice, not buff underperforming primaries and secondaries; that’s outside the scope of the suggestion.

Sorry but seriously do you not know that with a heavy recahrge focus you can triple stack PB and with a few more KB protection IO specials can have enough KB to resist even the strongest KB effects in the game? It is literally the only power that can do such and is one of the saving graces of Super Reflexes. And what exactly is the practical application of that? So you can have slightly better DPS against Jane Temblor in the two missions she appears in? Meanwhile you've basically eliminated the only real advantage PB has for the lay-player, that it costs about 1/3rd as much endurance to use as an armor toggle.
  17. I think if this idea is to be used, it should be applied to primary and secondary sets with a light touch. They exist in a much more delicate balance than APPs do, and doing something big like letting players trade a single-target stun power for Aim is much more likely to throw off the balance of the set. Plus, the power choices are supposed to be Equivalent, and I don't think Aim and Bean Bag are equal powers.
  18. The Domination power can't be linked to in Chat. Typing [Domination] in the chat window will bring up a link to a Banished Pantheon attack of the same name, and dragging the Domination power icon to the chat window simply puts the word "Domination" in the bar, with no brackets.

  21. A very annoying bug I remember from live. Normally, using an attack, or just trying to queue one up, puts your character in a "combat" mode for several seconds, where they stay in a fighting stance. After enough time passes without you using an attack, the character returns to the normal idle stance. However, using a self-affecting power like Build Up or Rage when you are not already in the "combat" mode puts you into a broken state where your character refuses to stay in the combat stance. After using attacks in this state, your character will immediately try to return to the idle stance rather than remain in the combat stance, usually before the animation even finishes. The only way to fix this state is to either mash the escape key to force yourself out of combat mode, or wait for enough time to pass so your character leaves "combat" mode naturally.

  23. I've heard tell of a command that lets you make a macro that appears like a power icon. Apparently it's something like /macroimagename? Does anyone know about this?
  24. I don't get it. He got approval to be a hero. Then they took away that approval, for no reason?
  25. What, are you trying to solo a mothership raid? You'll have backup if you're up against that kind of opposition. That's not an "if I get mezzed it's all over" situation.
