I'll settle for a temp power chainsaw, and a badge for felling 100 trees in the Perez Park or Eden mazes. Clear that rot out! (Then get a 10-use chainsaw temp power with the badge. Bring me the Banished Pantheon!) Okay, a bit more seriously, how about creating several AV's or even GM's that appear if you clear a few hundred of their gangs hanging around empty zones? Potentially useful for getting teams to clear mobs for badges, and get an AV or GM fight at the end.

I wonder, development always strives for improvements, but what of taking it the other direction to "fix" a weakened change? Using your viewpoint of the Hollows as example, can such a change be reasonably undone in the current game? Maybe using new storyline to "push out" the "mobs that did not belong there", and create a hazard reflective (but perhaps superior) to the original? It sounds a bit like the "correction" the OG game did to remove 5th Column and replace with Council.

Jealous 'cause I didn't think of it first to go with my serial sci-fi characters. Well done!

I know it'd be asking a lot, but I'd dig having a rolling fog. That is, it moves slowly through the area, clearing in some areas, so you can see the layout, while building to a blinding fog in other spots, before subsiding and the effect moving elsewhere. Get it right, and the fog moves like a creepy, living thing.

I didn't do much on Victory. I did know of taxi guilds on multiple other servers. Even so, taxis were not always available, so yeah, running was a challenge.

I foresee COH facepalm memes in the near future.

On those characters I keep on the ground, I've learned to drop one end redux onto sprint to compensate for my forgetfulness. Learned the hard way not to take an under-50's team to do a league's job again the giant robot in Boomtown.

Love fire/fire! If I can make one recommendation, she might consider pacing her attacks. I found out the hard way that fire played ferociously can overwhelm the tank's aggro control pretty quickly. I ended up building a flyer so that he'd have a 3D way of mitigating melee damage, at least, if he pushed too hard.

While I agree on this practice, I personally would feel it necessary to translate in the backstory section, otherwise I feel I've not connected/communicated to the viewers. -
Or call for a taxi.

I seriously thought this would be called "Turkey Shoot".

A restored Hero One is cool by me, but a big NO for Ms. Liberty. Despite her training me from a hero-ling, I've found her a bigger jerk than her grandpappy. Especially when her Longbow goons are in play. For me, the solution appears simple. We've got this big ol' complex called Portal Corp. We've already found a nasty doppelganger of States. Why not have a story arc where a good doppelganger is found, say one whose world is toast, and bring him home to fill in. Now this is not just a carbon copy. He may have been forged at the well, but since then, he's had his own life and developed both his own personality and costume. So the new devs can play around with his settings a bit, and create something the players like. This creates a lot of story potential as well: a fish-out-of-water starting at the bottom of the hierarchy and learning to fit in, potential conflicts and resolutions with Ms Liberty and Phalanx teammates, different ways of handling situations while trying to avoid the spectre of comparison to the Prime version, and an ongoing storyline of his wrath and avenging hunt for those that destroyed his world. Imagine story arcs where he shows up to help your level 15 character, not because he's the top dog, but because he's assigned to assist while he's being evaluated for HIS level 16 rank as well (though as a fully experienced hero, he'll be on the fast train to security rank 50).

The Mandela Effect IS a Nemesis Plot.

Coming in late to the discussion, but if you've not chosen yet, I'm going to assume you named exactly what you're after, and I won't try to convince you to play something else. *Glares at others* For survivability, it may be a bit "vanilla" but Invulnerability works best for my tanks. I've also had good success with Willpower (admittedly a long time ago) and Shield. For attack, Street Justice is just beautiful for those in melee range. If you're needing a range strike for that "Single Target", radiation has a short range strike with...proton sweep...I think it is. It also has some decent AoE (at least from my experience). Also there's claws, which I've not played in a decade, but I believe there's a single target range strike with it as well. My other choice, no range that I recall, is War Mace. There's just something very satisfying about the single target hit effects. For any other single target range strike, I just keep my Nemesis Staff and magic staff from P2W vendor handy. I'd add that if she chooses to play an Ice blaster, her survivability might go up, as the power will slow or freeze opponents.

I suppose "Ice Ice Baby" is taken? I checked each of the following against Excelsior before posting. Pick fast as others might like them: Ice Flow Icesmith / Ice Smith Coldsmith / Cold Smith Coldstream Guard / Cold Stream Guard Party Ice Chill Wind Crystal Rain Sleetshard / Sleet Shard Snowshoe Hare / Snow Hare Giacomo Frost (Italian version of Jack/James) Winter Olympian Winters Tail / Winter's Tail (punning The Bard here. Perfect for a catgirl, if desired.) Siberian Leopard (a.k.a. the Amur leopard) Siberian Bobcat Icing Guard (Isengard, get it? No? ...okay.) -
I remember, (circa 2005-6) before difficulty settings were a thing, running with a PUG team into a large, multi-tiered room, with far, far too many Tsoo sorcerers (maybe 40% of the room). 3 hours later, and I don't remember how many team wipes, we cleared the room.

I think much more highly of my northern neighboring state than I do a certain Korean business. Honestly, double initials are too short for a brand name, too easy to be shuffled into obscurity in dialog. "NCSoft" at least was distinctive enough to know immediately what organization you were referring to. And yeah, I know "HP" is out there, but at least when I was a kid, still helping Dad learn how to turn on the telegraph, we referred to HP by its full name always..uphill, both ways, in a snowstorm...and we liked it!

I am curious... I have never seen the TV show "Dark Angel", but was shown a clip with a gang with some pretty crazy cyber implants, not as outrageous as the Freaks, but enough to give me pause. Then I learn the show has an organization called "Manticore" and considering the show predates COH's release, well, my conspiracy theory went into overdrive. So is "Dark Angel" the inspiration for both Freaks and for Manticore's name? If so, did the show influence any other game elements?

Inspector Gadget. Surely one of Ben10's avatars can do it, though I never stuck around to figure them all out. I'm guessing The Thing likely could. He's gone toe-to-toe with Hulk, and although Ben Grimm is weaker, he's definitely got the strength. But one group not being mentioned are the characters that have connections to the main characters. That is every Kryptonian, and even Bizarro, for Superman. why, even Doomsday was introduced as jumping. Most every Hulk adaptation, including Abomination.

Oh, I've an idea, but it's not an established character. From established characters, it's a tough pick between Forge and Multiple Man. The first because he can literally create and build tech to duplicate or neutralize most any other power (and do it before breakfast), the second because who wouldn't want 20 of themselves to get everything done in a day? Corrected that for ya. We are talking politicians here...

Is this exactly like it sounds? Coffee/sandwich shop combined with mending? I'm intrigued, if so, for I've never heard of one. It sounds like my parents got together to create a business. Dad managed a 1950's style soda fountain for years, and Mom was a seamstress and laundress.

So I take it your character's friends and enemies won't have first and last names beginning with "L"? I've got ornamental red berries growing on several nandina (aka "heavenly bamboo") outside my front door, and they're quite poisonous. Don't suppose you're referencing that plant? -
Please just assume I know nothing on this topic, but wish to learn. Question: What does it take (or is it even possible) for a team of players skilled in base design and architect storytelling, to create new door mission material to tie to new or current NPC mission givers OUTSIDE of architect? I'm even thinking this because my mind is trying to pull several bits together.: 1) I just got done looking at the base builders' show-off thread, and the results are always improving, with some very impressive layouts and looks. 2) I know there are missions where the entire layout is designed for that mission, so no randomly putting similar rooms together to create a warehouse maze, or such. 3) I know it's been stated throughout the years that folks would appreciate new mission interiors. We have gotten the occasional re-skinning of rooms, but not a new design, per se. 4) Seasoned architect story designers usually know what the players want, resulting in a better mission. So, to restructure my question: Is it possible for a team of experienced designers to create new mission givers, stories, layouts, and looks that would be approved by the Homecoming team, and does the game's design allow for these to be ported from development tools permitted to the players into the main game? If this is even possible, this might go a ways to freshening up areas that currently exist but are largely ignored. I'm thinking of westside Independence Point for one. Placing a new mission giver or two, and running their storylines through the zone's current "dead" spaces, could really open up some areas. Of course, this all hinges on a lot of things coming together, and the technology even being able to function towards this goal. Help me understand?

Well, it's not Asian, but since your female character is a nature controller, and red plays dominantly in the design, might I suggest combining "Ceres", Roman goddess of agriculture (or "food plants" as the internet put it), with "cerise", classified as a type of red. So "Cerise Ceres" or "Ceres Cerise". One downside of this: cerise has a tinge of purple in it, leaning towards a bit of a wine red in its dark forms. -
Well, certainly, but if the city would finally add additional laundries certifiably-trained in the proper cleaning and care of super costumes, rather than just rely on Surge's team, they might not ruin (at least not nearly as fast). As it stands, Icon's laundry service is backed up, and those costumes sit long in the hamper marinating in residual AoE stealth funk. And, hey, it might be that healthy competition will bring the price down. I mean, have you seen the Icon laundering bills? I'm trying to save to put my triplet imps through college, and I need all the INF I can save. I...I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. Guess I just had to get that off my chest.
