  1. lol, I would absolutely love this, but it would be so OP. Imagine a kinetics defender or corruptor with fulcrum shift+speed boost+2 siphon speeds+increased density, that would be capped damage, 90% recharge, 40% s/e resistance (defender values), and mez protection. That's insane for one character to have access to out of the box without any IOs, pool powers, or incarnates. A cold domination toon could add 1k max HP (but more importantly a ton of regen), add 31% defense to all positions, and still have sleet+heat loss for a ton of -res and huge end recovery. Most sets would be brokenly strong if you changed all their powers to affect themselves too. The game is easy enough as it is, I want the power, but I think it would lessen the game as a whole.

  3. When I first started playing this game, I started a stalker first and was incredibly frustrated with the experience back then. There were no IOs or ATOs to make up for the holes in builds and although I could solo missions quickly solo, it was very slow XP. I also never felt I was much help on a team. I eventually switched to playing a corruptor and enjoyed it much much more. I tried to make a stalker with great AOE, great ST, good survivability, with something useful for the team. I needed softcapped s/l and good s/l resists too. This is what I came up with and its been pretty successful. I can solo cimorrea missions at +4x8 and do both S/L and fire farms if I want to. I also have Fireball for improved AoE (%50 crit chance outta hide) and melt armor with an achilles proc to help out the team a bit. I can use DNA siphon every 25-30 seconds to get my endurance back, which was needed for exemplaring if I still want to use the proc'd out savage leap (I do, I really really do). So here is the build let me know if anyone has questions or ways to improve it: With Hemorrhage being nerfed into the ground on stalkers, we don't really need to take it anymore (its still good dmg from hide, but its not amazeballs now). So, instead our ST dps chain becomes a lot quicker and because of this change we still want a big hitter to follow AS, so we change to Mu, losing melt armor, but gaining a snipe attack. We also exchange fireball for ball lightning, which is a minor dps loss, but really not worth worrying about. We still want to be useful in a group though and so we pick up genetic corruption to lower everything's dmg and put minions to sleep (and we pray that it sometimes, just sometimes, messing up my AS hide proc is me being crazy as it is supposed to suppress with hide). Now, zapp also has a 24% chance of proccing a build up, so if the stars align we can cap our dmg for maybe two seconds (^_^). This makes our assault power pickup hard to justify even for the team, so we drop it for super speed. We also move the slots that were in hemorrhage to boundless energy to place panacea (putting numinas in health now) for a net HP regen increase of about 9 hp/s and a small endurance rate gain. Finally, we gain an "oh, shit" button in parasitic aura. Overall, I think this is a vast improvement and it only cost us a small dps loss by losing hemorrhage (and a little team buffs with the loss of melt armor). I checked the times on pylon and the average out of five is 2:03 with this newest version using hybrid+destiny, but no lore. New version of the build:
  4. Fire/time is probably one of the easiest and fastest ways to solo as a corruptor due to farsight and times juncture making everything whiff you even at low levers.
  5. Remember that you only need to get to 45% fire defense for a farmer. Anything after that is wasted. You can do things a bit differently in order to get more recharge. Here is my fire farming build for reference:
  6. Ok, so I've been trying to figure out how to make a really tanky melee dominator with good AoE dmg so that it can do missions at +4x8 solo. Even with max def and res to s/l it can be difficult to survive, mainly because we don't have a lot of reliable heals and I can keep mobs controlled in AoE, but then my dmg goes down significantly. In order to address that I figured I'd try to simply keep everything around me confused/falling down/slowed and so I rolled an ice/savage/psy dominator on the test server. I can absolutely do +4x8 with this and live in the s/l comic con map. It has good AoE and ST, without hard controls, but it does keep things confused a lot. I think I'll roll this on homecoming and see how it progresses through the TFs and trials. The biggest draw for me is the two confusing toggles that allow me to continue to dps without stopping to cast control powers, but originally this build was mostly just to see what two confuse toggles together can do. Turns out, quite a lot with domination running, +4 bosses get confused pretty regularly and you get to create chaos all around you. Plus none of them can escape the two major slow patches (one toggle, one cast). On top of that you have two oh shit buttons just in case things get bad and flash freeze doubles as a minor dmg buff. Permadom, max s/l res/ softcapped melee/ranged, good recharge, and lots and lots of non-casting confusion.
  7. I think you can get a lot more recharge and defense in the build. Here is my build for farming. I can complete the asteroid in 6:30-7:00 minutes solo without inspirations with this.

  9. OK, so I suggest dark/time corruptor because you are here in the corruptor forums and time's juncture looks pretty tentacle like. The idea is to proc the hell out of the tentacles and give you a ton of recharge so that you can use your tentacles a lot. You have capped defenses and good resists. Perma soul drain, perma hasten, and perma chrono shift. The average damage of tentacles is about 250 without any damage buffs due to the 34% chance to proc each thing.   10. Oh, then corr. Dark blast is fine, its just not fire or water. I personally don't like it because it is weak on aoe dmg, It doesn't have a pbaoe or targeted aoe except its T9, and it doesn't get aim. You'll still have a heal in life drain though and that's important for cold's survival.

  14. This is a build I put together to help out. I realized I posted the wrong version. I realized later that I could take charged brawl and havoc punch instead of electric shackles to get more recharge, while keeping energy def just under softcap. I think the ST attack chain is zapp>charged brawl>havoc punch>assassin's shock>chain induction. Zapp is on bit longer cd, so just throw it in anytime before assassin's strike>chain induction. Should be smooth anytime after lvl 23 (you need hasten to make the chain smooth) No, procs cannot crit and receive no bonus from hide. Putting procs here simply maximizes the damage it does in and out of hide (but mainly out of hide). Electric shackles was a mule, but now boxing has replaced it as the mule. Lightning rod should proc force feedback very often and thunder strike will proc it often enough to be worth the slot. Right click the enhancement slot you want to +5 and press the + key 5 times and then left click.

  17. The savage leap procs are there because they have a 77-90% chance to proc in that power as long as no other recharge is slotted. It makes savage leap a beast. For exemplaring, just use attuned IOs.
  18. Just sell stuff back and buy what you need instead. You only lose 10% by selling on the AH. That patch might be a week away or a month. I'd rather play my room now and deal with changes as they come.

  21. I think I would do something like this. This has high recharge and proc'd out attacks in assassin's strike and midnights grasp. The hide proc in assassin's strike has the maximium chance to proc and then you can follow it up with a midnight's grasp crit. The ST attack chain is smite>siphon life>assassin's eclipse>midnight's grasp, allowing your midnight's grasp to almost always crit. Your regen with the heal procs and panacea will be at about 35 hp/sec and you have siphon life to help out. Endurance shouldn't be an issue with all the performance shifters. Hasten should be perma as long as you use shield charge twice in two minutes giving you the +100% FF recharge proc. Overall, this build has a lot less s/l resistance than Omega's build, but it has much more damage and recharge. I think the overall survivability of the build will be a bit better than Omega's build due to the heal procs and the One With Shield 'oh crap' button.
  22. 1. Would the Sudden Acceleration KB->KD in Psionic Tornado have much of an effect, given PT's knock-up? Yeah, just switch that out with a +damage one I was only looking at the things in mids and not reading descriptions.

  24. There is no difference in xp per mob or mission. I'm pretty sure he is referring to the speed you can kill mobs and complete missions. So xp is slower on a per hour basis.
  25. I assume the problem is things like cimorrea at +4x8 when multiple bosses are around you.
