My bad: I meant to say "couple hundred thousand Inf". -
I imported the code block and pasted it below. Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.1 https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! In 2019, I see no problem with this.

I wondered about that. I've edited my post accordingly. Thanks!

issue 26 Patch Notes for August 27th, 2019
Rathulfr replied to Leandro's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Respec recipes are selling for a couple hundred (edit) thousand (/edit) Inf on the AH. -
To clarify, when you post something in the AH, that thing goes into a "bucket" of other similar things, without levels or attunement. For example, if you craft a level 35 Luck of the Gambler +Defense IO, it goes into the same bucket as all the other Luck of the Gambler +Defense IOs: essentially, the level numbers and attunement bit are ignored. If you look at all of the other Luck of the Gambler +Defense IOs, you'll see the same inventory numbers and amounts, regardless of level or attunement. If there are 17 level 50 Luck of the Gambler +Defense selling for $5M Inf each, you'll see that there are 17 level 25 Luck of the Gambler +Defense selling for $5M Inf each, and also the same 17 Luck of the Gambler +Defense (attuned) are selling for $5M Inf each. This is why you got $2M Inf for your level 22 IO: it was probably purchased by someone else as a higher-level or attuned IO. They weren't buying a "level 22 IO", they were buying "this specific named IO", and the AH simply delivered it at the level selected for purchase (or attuned without any level). This also means that you can use the AH as an automatic Catalyst. Let's say you have a recipe for a level 35 Luck of the Gambler +Defense IO that you want to attune. You could go ahead and craft then slot that IO and use a Catalyst to attune it (the original method). OR... you could craft that IO and sell it on the AH for the current going price. Once you get the Inf for selling it, you can turn around and buy the attuned version of the same IO for the exact same price. You basically just "bought" an attunement for only the cost of the AH fees. You don't need a Catalyst for that. In fact, you can just sell any Catalysts you might have: they're selling for a couple million Inf apiece right now. Or just save them for your ATOs, to make them Superior (if you buy those with merits, instead of just buying them Superior for over 20-25M Inf each).

Focused Feedback: Devices, Stealth and Misc Power changes
Rathulfr replied to Leandro's topic in Open Beta Testing
Of course, just my luck, as I'm finishing off the build on my new Energy/Temporal Blaster. Well, I suppose I can sell or re-use the IO sets ... 😭 (edit) And I don't look forward to what this may mean for my main villain (see sig below). 😖 -
Just saw this for the first time: I'm very interested. The hard part will be deciding which Sentinel to bring! LOL! 🤣

AFAIK, the alignment powers don't do anything for Sentinels other than their regular effects.

Advice on My Energy Blast/Willpower Sentinel?
Rathulfr replied to reconfigureyourface's topic in Sentinel
Here's my current Energy/Willpower Sentinel build at 50+3 T4. Because you're still leveling yours, I would recommend that you keep Power Blast and skip Focused Power Bolt. Also, when I was leveling mine, I had Hasten and Aim instead of Assault and Tactics (the slotting is basically the same). First lvl 50 - where to begin with end game build?
Rathulfr replied to Meph's topic in General Discussion
Enhancement Boosters are used to increment the value of IOs. You may obtain them from the merit vendor machine or from the auction house, whichever you find cheaper/easier. To boost an IO, simply equip it in the enhancement management window, and then select/click on it as if you're going to combine it like a TO/DO/SO. When the IO drops into the first slot, a small window will appear in the upper left, displaying your Boosters (and Catalysts, if you have any*). Simply click on the Booster, and it will appear in the second slot of the combination pane: click on the Combine button. Lather, rinse, repeat until the selected IO is +5. (*: Catalysts are used to attune IOs, or to increase ATOs and Event IOs to Superior quality. The combine process is the same for those.) Why take both Super Jump and Super Speed if you're going to take Hover? Why not simply take Hover and Fly and be done with it? Hover offers defense that isn't available in any of the travel powers: it's the equivalent of Combat Jumping or Stealth, and only a little less effective than Maneuvers. On my squishies, I usually take Hover and Fly, plus some combination of Maneuvers, Stealth, Combat Jumping, or Weave (if I've got room for Boxing/Kick and Tough). This allows me to significantly improve my defenses, and/or mule up to 5 Luck of the Gambler +Recharge. -

I get the Catalysts from the Merit Vendor machine. They're free, so you can get as many as you need. -
Varvatos approves of glorious battle!
-
No, the Blaster's not here: he's on the floor. The one with ranged attacks next to the melees is the Sentinel. 😉
-
I have Overwhelming Force 6-slotted in my Explosive Blast, which includes the KB-to-KD. I have the Sudden Acceleration KB-to-KD IO in the 6th-slot of Nova, with Superior Avalanche in the other 5 slots. Yes, it cost me some fire/cold/AoE defense, but not much, so it was worth it to prevent scattering mobs all over the place. I don't bother breaking up sets on my single-target attacks for the KB-to-KD, as its not worth losing those set bonuses for that.

Suggestion: Dominator Power Proliferation to Sentinels
Rathulfr replied to Nexys's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Actually, it just means that Sentinels will keep getting crapped on by Blasters and Corruptors, while Instigators will get crapped on by Tankers and Brutes. Everybody wins! LOL 😏 -
Suggestion: Dominator Power Proliferation to Sentinels
Rathulfr replied to Nexys's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Okay, now I see what you're driving at: you're angling for a dedicated "Blapper" AT. They're not Scrappers, because those have no ranged attacks. They're not Blasters, because those have no defense powers (except for Tactical Arrow, which gets Gymnastics, a.k.a. "The Other Combat Jumping"). They're not Sentinels, because those have no melee attacks. They're not Dominators, because those have "assault" as secondary to the "control" primary. Now I get it. +1 Instigators then. I won't play one, because I'm not a fan of blapping. But I can see how others might enjoy that! (edit) But will they still retain any control powers? If not, I'm afraid they're going to get crapped on harder than Sentinels do now. (edit 2) Ok, I see where @Steampunkette mentions taunt for aggro management. That's a sort of control. But now we drive into the tanks vs. brutes conundrum... and I ain't touching that with a ten foot pole. (edit 3) I wish my Sentinels had some kind of taunt/aggro management capabilities. More often than not, I'm usually tanking/off-tanking with them anyway... -
for a blaster which is better defense cap or resistance cap?
Rathulfr replied to the mauler's topic in Blaster
*/Rad is a resistance set, so you'll find it easier to work towards capping resistance than you will capping defense. That's not to say you shouldn't try to get your defenses as high as possible, but I wouldn't prioritize defense over resistance on that build. -
2B Inf for a single IO.
