If you're going to play at the highest level in the game...
Bionic_Flea replied to Oklahoman's topic in General Discussion
If it could be coded easily, I would be in favor of having to "unlock" 2XP and AE by having your first 50 on the account. That way everyone would have to go through the game at least once to experience it from beginning to end. Then after that they can speed through if they want. -
This is probably the best way to get the badge -- wait until Lady Grey is the weekly. It will be run over and over during the week and should give folks plenty of opportunities to obtain the badges. Also, if you haven't already, you should add the Hero Event, Villain Event, and Praetorian Event Channels enabled. I have them all along with LFG channel on one tab to keep track of what's about to happen. Kinda like monitoring police radio. That lets you see when Nemesis, or any other invasion or giant monster, is ready to pounce.

Not everyone can be a Sooner. But wait . . . if you are saying these players are jumping the gun by flying to 50 and itrials without an idea of what it might be like, . . . well, maybe they ARE Sooners. 😎 -
I think there are larger Internet outage issues afoot. https://downdetector.com/

The only thing I want from call boxes would be to "hear" Ascendant talking to Saul Rubenstein. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Ascendant-O's

Oh! I had another possible solution to a non-problem: Sell them like SOs in the Merit Vendor for some large value of merits -- larger than purples -- something like 300 merits. That should effectively cap all HOs to 75 million or so on the market and allow a back door for folks that would rather pay in merits than inf.
-
This is my understanding as well. I believe Faultline was the one who said it. It may have been on a Discord or DM. But I wonder if you could create a "recipe" that required an HO (or equivalent) plus say 10 million inf ( or whatever the number crunchers can come up with as fair and appropriate) to make the initial HO into a different HO? As a rule, I am against seeding the market. It was needed initially because we were starting with completely empty shelves. Those really expensive HOs and D-Syncs are expensive because they are highly desirable AND rare. High demand and low supply = high price. However, I would be in favor of slightly tweaking the drop rate among HOs (and equivalents) to make the more expensive ones a little more likely to drop and therefore increase the supply, which will ultimately lower prices.

What's this about? I suspect something to do with Giant Monsters as someone above mentioned that. I have a solution! Shield Charge, Lighting Rod, and Spring Attack . . .

What problem are you trying to solve here? Others have suggested it relates to farming badges or a team getting stuck on a TF due to an AFK player or some other problem (real or perceived). In other words, what did auto logout ever do to you?

I thought I saw the Neckbeard Menace hanging around Mercy Island . . . -
OH SNAP! He went there.

It's much more solo friendly now. But the original game required teaming for TFs, Trials, and even some missions (click two things at same time). Now I think the only thing that requires teaming is raids, I-trials, and . . . I'm forgetting something.

On my corrupter, I found that it was MUCH better to use procs in Storm Cell and standard slotting for Cat5. I used full set of Artillery for enhancement and set bonuses. Three Superior Frozen Blast + three damage procs in Storm Cell.
-
This might be the key. I know that I lean on Freezing Rain to slow things down further and debuff their defense and resist so that they stay in the storms and take more damage. I read someone else using the -tohit from Smoke with Storm Cell to become essentially untouchable. @VashNKnives is doing both with Blinding Dust and Snow Storm. Another trick that some may not be aware of: I always use Direct Strike after dropping Storm Cell - it has the bonus sniper damage, will stun and take a huge chunk of HP from bosses or outright kill most other minions and Lts, AND has the highest chance to proc more lightning and wind.
-
I made this instead.

Oh look! A tiny, tasty dog. Must be an appetizer. *Jumps on to the fur and begins the non-nomming*

I also agree that it is a much better soloist than a team player because both Storm Cell and Cat5 take a while to ramp up. But soloing anything at +4/x8 without incarnates is a far cry from @DangerKitty's barely being able to complete +0/x1 at level 40. Your experience matches with mine, EXCEPT that I still feel I am contributing in fast moving teams with Freezing Rain debuffing and Direct Strike + Cloudburst adding some decent single target damage. Occasionally, I will skip ahead to start a group with the full set up and then the team mops up. Storm Blast is a bit like Traps and Gadgets -- great solo if you don't mind the set up but not great on a fast-moving steamroller team. I think it could use a little tweak up. My personal favorite idea is to give Intensify a bit more +damage and a bit longer duration. Other ideas could also be an improvement. But I don't think it's as bad or unplayable as some say. Maybe it is for other ATs -- I haven't tried so I can't say -- but it's fine on a corrupter.
-
I have a storm/storm corrupter that I find very capable. I'd be interested in showing you, or anyone, how it functions in game for me and I'd like to see how yours performs in the same content. Maybe there's a tactic or slotting option difference or maybe it's different expectations.

Alpha Incarnate powers like Agility do not effect inherent domination directly. It adds the equivalent of slotted recharge in all powers that could slot recharge and since you can't slot domination at all . . . you get nothing. However, it does add recharge to Hasten (and some other +recharge powers) , which can make that power recharge faster, which might make your domination recharge faster.
