What I said in another thread on this issue: To be fair, several other players agreed with you (OP) in that thread.
-
It should be fixed. What launcher are you using and have you updated and/or re-verified?

Thanks for monitoring and letting us know, Six.

There are already about 2 dozen farming global channels. The most popular one is "Got Farms?" with 475 total members and the next is "Farming Excelsior" with 52. You can find these and other channels in game by right clicking in the chat box, choosing "channel search," and then use the pop up UI to search for "farm" or whatever. Now, some channels many be public, and can be joined by highlighting a channel name and then clicking the "Join Channel" button, and some may be private and require invitation by one of the channel moderators.

Implement more measures to curve market manipulation.
Bionic_Flea replied to crimson72's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
To the OP: No, thank you. Your proposal is to limit supply and the result will be higher prices across the board. There is no sustained market manipulation. There can't be for several reasons: 1) Everyone gets drops just from playing the game. While someone may be able to buy all the LoTGs +recharge and relist them for 10 million every other player will post their LoTGs for less to undercut the price and get the sale. So the alleged manipulator would be sitting on his stack of 10 Mill LoTGs because they aren't selling. 2) If you are unlucky enough to reach the market when only the 10 mill LoTG +recharge are for sale just bid on one of the other pieces in the set, or one of the other defense IOs and use converters until you get what you want. 3) Alternatively, you could choose to pay the stable and unchanging merit price of 50 merits for the recipe. As srmalloy suggests, you can value a merit by catalysts, converters, or boosters. One merit gets you 3 catalysts, which currently sell for about 70K, or 210K/merit; Five merits gets one booster, which sells for a million, or 200k/merit; Twenty merits gets you one Catalyst, which someone is buying at 562K, or the bargain basement price of 28K. Because of this, there is no IO that goes for much more than 20 million. The reason it goes above at all is convenience -- someone would rather pay 25 mill now than fuss with exchanging merits and selling whatever. Oh, and I almost forgot to add the crafting cost and cost of salvage of about 2.5 - 3 mill. Accordingly, merits set an upper limit on the price of items on the market. And that's why everything usually sells for much less than the equivalent in merit conversions and rarely, if ever, more. It's also why the Panacea, Shield Wall, and Gladiator's Armor procs sell for 4 -5 million and not the 2 billion + price they had on live. 4) ??? 5) Profit! Your other suggestion to have an average price per day/week/month/whatever would be nice. But my understanding is that the market is an especially fragile piece of spaghetti code. -
Hey @Cipher, if you aren't too busy and don't mind sharing, why do you think it took longer to hit the donation target this time? From my earlier post, it seemed that you started it at an odd time (4am on Saturday!) and someone else reported that it was not advertised on Discord as usual. Where those intentional moves to try and get different folks to contribute? Can you tell if it's the same 200 or so players that fund it every month?

It's not terribly difficult to make a perma-Light Form Kheldian. Although you do get the crash, you have 2 heals to rely on. I don't remember Unicron, but all human PB can certainly be 85% damage resistance to all, has an eye beam, other blasts, some melee attacks, and can fly from level 1 on.

I play mainly on Excelsior as well. I am self employed so I may be on at any time of the day but then have to leave suddenly and for varying lengths of time. Because of that, I tend to solo a lot and join the occasional quick TF. All that said, if you see anyone named "_ _ _ _ _ ic Flea" it is most likely to be me. Hit me up and add me as a global friend. I'd be happy to hang out for a bit.

The problem with most mez in this game is that it is binary; the critter is either a mezzed piñata or it completely ignored the mez due to resistance. What if mezzes did something else to critters that weren't fully mezzed? Something like slow and -recharge or removing the critter's abilities to use attacks until all it had left is brawl before being fully mezzed.

You can still import to Mids by clicking the link under the box that the new export function creates as a paste. This is the same build as the one in the hidden contents I posted above: View This Build In MRB ^^^Click on this thing here!^^^

looking at a run with ice cold troller,,,i got questions
Bionic_Flea replied to Snarky's topic in Controller
I read that as "looking at a nun with ice/cold" Thus was born Nun Colder! Costume shamelessly stolen from @ChanelNo2. Also: Feel free to steal the name. Not enough Flea for me. -
Yeah, that's great for coders who can look at that and see it as if it was a screen shot of a Mids Build. But to me that looks like gibberish. Honestly, the PDF versions aren't too bad. They could be even better with some additional formatting and colorizing. Please don't take me the wrong way. I REALLY appreciate what everyone and anyone who has worked on the various hero builders have done. I do. But as a long time user, being able to look at and share builds on the forums was one of the joys. This new version sucked a little bit of the joy out of it.

I post this meme frequently . . . sorry. But I do so because it is so often relevant. If you don't like the way some other group runs content -- whether that be too fast, or too slow, or requiring everyone to have T4 barrier, or requiring one tank, two cold corrupters, a kin, and four fire blasters -- your best solution is to run it the way you like it and find like minded individuals. Then you can run medium speed with everyone having whatever powers they want. Or whatever your plan may be. BUT, (and that's a big but), you also need to either be OK with failing or figure out a way to make it work. Because if you run unsuccessful teams over and over, people will stop joining them. And ultimately, that's why people go with what is tried and true. There doesn't have to be "The one and only way." In fact, there isn't. There are many ways to succeed. But there usually is one easy and/or fast way to do it and that's what most folks gravitate to. But most is not the same as all.

(Don't Fear) the Respec: Respecs, Multiple Builds, and Unslotters
Bionic_Flea replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in Guides
Come on baby, don't Flee the Respec. GM, take my hand, don't Flee the Respec. We'll be able to fly (or jump or run). Yomo is the maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan -
As I recall, all the add on robots when fighting Nightstar and Citadel in the BAF trial were designed for crowd control to take care of while DPS and debuffers took care of the AVs. It's certainly a valid strategy and maybe even an effective one when the I-trial first came out and no one had incarnate powers. But now, as far as I can tell, everyone ignores the add-ons unless going for a badge. That's what happens to most content that seems to require certain roles, we either become strong enough to just steamroll it and/or learn tricks to work around them. I have nothing against inserting situations into missions, TFs, and trials that let certain ATs shine as long as it's not a requirement. LGTF's Hamidon needing some holds doesn't bother me, but the original Barracuda where certain ATs were required I did not like.
-
Any well built AT and power-set can complete and contribute to all content. Admittedly, some are better than others for certain things. If people aren't inviting your stalker (or whatever) to their 4* ITFs than start your own and you can set the conditions.

Careful there, cowboy. That's my family you're talking about! Soon the Political Pandas will come to a channel near you and you will not have a brain to blow.

First, make a billion inf. Second, do that another thousand times.1 1. I may have stolen this line from Yomo.

Did you look in my hidden contents, above?

Well, with the Print to PDF I can do this: And this:

The Incarnate system is needlessly complex and fussy
Bionic_Flea replied to FFFF's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I would. I generally make a quick T2 alpha with my first thread drop at Vet level 1, then run the Weekly, maybe an ITF (which generates a bunch of shards), one of the other TFs that grants a shard-based component, or perhaps a Hammy or Mothership raid. That gets me my T3. I can now use all my threads and emps to work up my other slots. As I run other TFs and content I will get additional shards and/or threads depending on what I run. I will use shards when I can to build up alpha slot stuff, but switch to thread-based stuff if I get a lucky drop doing Tin Mage, Apex, DA arcs or Incarnate trials. -
Am I just totally misinformed....
Bionic_Flea replied to tjknight's topic in Peacebringer & Warshade
I remember that guide! I thought it was great and tried to follow it, but it never gelled for me. I felt more comfortable playing other ATs . That was a long time ago, probably a decade or more. The game has changed a lot since then and I know a lot more about the mechanics. Maybe I should give WS another try. But I'd love for the OG MF**NG Warshade author to recreate that guide with all the new IOs and QOL changes.
