  1. Traps is under-rated. As a solo character, it excels. You can set up your trap pit of doom and then draw critters there to laugh maniacally. It also has a bad rap of "too slow for today's game", but I disagree with that. With a good build and enough recharge you can get there before the tank to plant poison trap and acid mortar. The bombs, however, are a bit dated with a long animation and too easy to interrupt. The bombs are bonus damage, which is nice but not needed on a team. Traps is also great against AVs and GMs with -1000 regen from poison trap and the -20 resist from Acid Mortar that can be doubled with Achilles Heel. Traps now also benefits greatly from Fold Space. Bring them to your Pit of Doom!
  2. I went Core. Although the rule of thumb is to go for Radial unless blaster or scrapper, that doesn't take into account the radius in the proc formula reducing the chance greatly. And someone, Bopper I think, did a study of damage auras and found that they were better off with Core than Radial. I think Oil Slick Arrow, Ignite, and possibly even Full Auto might be better off with Core as well. Bopper's study also showed that the single target attacks, especially long recharge ones, benefited more from radial than core and that the end result after adding all attacks together was that both sides ended up very close to each other.
  3. Thanks for the quick reply. That worked. I added the Client Mod program from Philtotic Knight but I guess I used the wrong folder to stick it in.
  4. Since we came back from the outage yesterday I get the following error trying to start the game on Homecoming (64-bit): "File: bin/clientmessages-en.bin Unable to locate bin/clientmessages-en.bin" However, I can still log in via Homecoming (32-bit). I've tried re-verifying and switching manifests between /manifest.xml and /beta.xml but that didn't work.
  5. That was trying with 64. I'm able to log in with 32. Go figure.
  6. This is the error message I get now trying to log in via Tequila.
  7. I like it! Each zone should have 500% more combat NPCs!
  8. Sentinels. Why??? Because. Why not?
  9. I noticed almost a dozen new accounts opened on Cake:Evolution Discord last night after our servers went out. Coincidence?
  10. I ended up making all of those! I dual boxed and leveled the AR/TA and TA/AR together. That was a little slower than I am used to as I had to flip back and forth between them, but it was a nice change of pace. Kudos to those who dual box.
  11. They picked up Telephone! -from Discord - Server-Status-Updates
  12. Poor Telephone. No one's picking up his calls.
  13. https://discord.com/channels/572090223115239444/572123632009216040 Problems on their end.
  14. I agree with everything Sandwich says!
  15. It's your build. Make it to suit you. I just tossed some ideas your way and made changes to your initial build to something that would suit me. There are almost always painful choices to make when you have limited power and slotting selections. The shark I was talking about was the AoE Cone immobilize, School of Sharks. A group of sharks get launched from you to target and then swim in a circle. If you have Whirlpool going it looks like they are swimming in the pool. Spirit Shark Jaws is a single target hold that looks like a single giant Great White breaching up from the ground. It can look like its coming from the whirlpool if active, but its animation is over in a second while the school lingers a bit longer. I have School of Sharks, Shark Skin, and Hibernate on my Water/Storm Corrupter but Scorpion Shield with other stuff on my Poison/Water. I have never taken Neurotoxic Breath on any poison because a narrow cone slow with only 25% chance of a mag 2 hold doesn't seem worth it to me. But again, that's me. You gotta make what you like.
  16. How does this look? More expensive for sure, but it looks good to me. I took out stealth because most of the defense it's granting you suppresses in combat -- any attack you make, blinkie you click, or critter that attacks you makes most of that defense go bye-bye. I added back Antidote and Alkaloid so you can at least pretend to heal and buff teammates and your Coralax pet. They also mule some nice globals IOs for you.
  17. I took Agility Core (defense and recharge), Diagmagnetic Core (additional debuffing), Cryonic Core (seemed thematic with Water), Clarion Radial ( mez resistance as well as boosts to defense and special) and Support Radial (defense, damage, special)
  18. Yeah, should be in the global tab unless you edited it.
  19. JJD, just hopping in to say I think it's great you lost so much weight! Keep it up!
