  1. This should be Sticky !
  2. I would take 2 IOs out of energy torrent and put one in aid other and another in aid self for a bit more heal and recharge.. 8 seconds is a bit long on aid self. I quickly mashed this up with what I recommended. I am not big on all these proc IOs but I went that route since that seems to be the fashion now a days. 3. I don't find it so horrible at all. My Incarnates are NOT high. highest is T3 and its reactive for the 75% for fire damage. I needed the Ageless for the endurance because of the endurance issues. That is what I needed from Incarnates. But is it my Farm fire/rad Brute ?? NO... I think that is the issue people have.. It isn't that toon that can zip through a mission in 20 seconds and kill everything. If they get rid of the endurance crash on EMP arrow that would be helpful. Further there is no power in Trick Arrow that will ignite Oil Slick. Oil Slick does A LOT of DPS.. So you will need some sort of epic power to ignite it. Take this build. Remove the 2 attacks from Mastermind and slot it with Pets and I would say your pretty much set. Pick up the Barrier Incarnate
  4. Its good if your fighting big bosses and stationary.. EG BAF its good.. But it doesn't matter because it doesn't take 8 people to do an ITF for example 3 or 4 players capped out with good builds can handle it. Everyone is just DPS and debuffs. End game wise you can pick up the status incarnate to protect you from mez while it is up. EG Carny Master illusionist would be trouble for a Time player. Again depends on the player.. I want to be the best me. If I can solo 4/8 setting then everyone else is extra. I am already performing at MAX. So if I can do 4/8 and blaster comes along I am getting more DPS. A Tank that can hold aggro means I can drop Trip mines as soon as they pop. I have petless masterminds doing 4/8. Lowest hit points, Highest endurance attacks and less dps overall due to no pets, and I have seen players who couldn't handle 2/4 setting at level 50. You get it... Time is good I have a semi petless Time Thugs Mastermind. For me its just a personal choice. Its a very safe build. Some people hate it.. I like it. I have two Triage beacons up for 30 seconds. Can have up 2 acid mortars. Caltrops is a great stupid little thing that keeps mobs moving.. Oppressive Gloom added in stuns the lower mobs and some bosses when combined with the defense cap of Traps. There have been times when bodyguard mode has wiped out my pets and I just turtled up with several groups on me and I would just slowly drop trip mines and clear them out until I could resummon bots safely. You can't do that with time, as it does have a DPS. Plus Robot Traps its so Thematic. I use Traps on everything.. Robot Traps full set.. Semi petless ( last pet only ) Robot Traps. Whip Traps Petless mastermind AR Traps Defender. Will probably make a DP Traps Corruptor in a bit. All are defense capped doing 3/8 easily. I can do 4/8 but its a bit slower.. 3/8 seems to be the magic stetting.
  5. I've been trying to make a macro that targets the pet and then cast the pet upgrade. I thought it would just as easy as passing the pet name to target and then the power to cast on the target but nothing worked.. I gave up and just made another macro to target the pet and continued on with the keypad options to control pets.
  6. Thanks for the insight. I more Blaster / Mastermind / Petless mastermind build guy. Trying to move around a bit into different Archtypes again.
  7. Was able to create a Electric control / Savage Assault Type defense cap. 2 seconds off perma Domination with no Incarnates. It will be Perma Dom with Incarnates Its an expensive build at about 22 million per high end IOs. Its 5 sets of 6 IO = 30 IOs x 22 million (approx) = 660 million. Its based around just the AOE / Cone attacks. I'm sure it can be reworked to cheaper price. Just need to work on it some more. 8. Funny I think Robots
  9. You get mezzed and toggles drop. That doesn't happen with Traps. Plus Trip mine does decent DPS with about a 7 second recharge. Personally I am defense capped without my pets giving me buff. So I can solo without my pets. Its slow but can be done because of Trip Mine. Time doesn't have that ability. But Time is good because you are always on the go. I have both and I just like Traps more, just a personal feel for me.
  10. Just replace robots with Thugs Tankermind defense cap build. Promise you can't go wrong. 11. Being lazy atm so will ask. Anyone running Electric Control and Savage Assault ? Defense caps ? Typed or Positional ? Savage is very Melee oriented so would be trying to cap out at least Range and Melee defenses.
  12. This what I got with a quick run up. Range defense cap 44.5 (45 game wise) With Enforcers Maneuvers it puts you at 53% Range defense, 39% for AOE and 34% for Melee. If you wanted to rely on Enforcers Maneuvers you could swap out a few range sets to get another 5 or 6 points for AOE defense cap. Then Darkest Night would be just extra when an Enforcer dies because darkest night gives you another 22 points in defense via Hit Debuff. You have all the pet IO buffs in Gang War. You have a few IOs you can move around and one power slot free to pick something else. You can pick up aid other if you want to heal pets. This is all without incarnates. This took me 20 minutes to work up. This can be better if you spend a few hours reworking it. 13. My Tankermind is Bots Trap as well. I love Traps overall because its real easy. I never really looked at the defense numbers for pets, maybe I should. But as I probably don't need to tell you I can run 8/4 setting on Robot Traps and solo AVs because they work so well together. Time is also another defense cap set but lacking the mez protection. I like what Nature gives you but I just hate the look of the powers. It bothers me even more when the nature player is hovering and the tress grow midway up blocking sight and add in tight Cave environment. How I wish you could tame nature animations or just have smaller ones. With Robot Traps I am taunting, dropping Trip Mines and redirecting my pets behind me.. That is pretty much my work. Just controlling the pets is a pain sometimes. Though I will say getting interrupted sometimes with trip mine is a pain. If they move over the changes From Device to Traps it would be GREAT.. With Traps I have an initial setup or a method I follow when fighting. IF it gets bad for example I pull a double group I turtle up and just keep pets near triage beacon and just have the bots target each highest level mob can clear them out as I taunt. I use Poison Trap with the Lockdown IO and that helps immensely. I also run with Dark on my Robot Traps for Oppressive Gloom which is a great power to have if you are defense capped. I think these are tricks for mastermind builds which are key.. EG Poison Traps with lockdown mag 2 hold proc, Oppressive Gloom, ETC..
  14. Thank you for the great insight.. As always looking for my next petless or semi petless build concept.
  15. Will look when I get home myself. I have a Thugs Dark build I believe as well. From my prospective being big defense cap player. Range defense 45 Melee and AOE high 20s with Darkest Night - To Hit Debuff making up the other percentage to 45 or really darn close. Why ? Because Dark set just doesn't have the IO set bonus options to get you full defense cap. Provoke so bad guys are targeting you but again you need to be able to survive the initial attack. Super Speed and Shadow Fall to get you in close and quick to drop the Darkest Night anchor maybe fear as well to kill off as much of the initial attack but far enough away to be a range attack. Burnout if you can for Double Gang War because that does sound like fun. Just be careful around GMs and Elite bosses because they will wipe out both Gang Wars in one good AOE hit. Kick, Tough, Weave, Maneuvers, Tactics, Combat Jump to get you to defense cap numbers as needed. Honestly there isn't much wiggle room in a Mastermind Build if your looking to do Tankermind concepts. I wish there was though. I don't know your play style. Mine is I want to solo on a minimum of 8/3 setting. But by looking at the powers you picked you have a bunch of wasted space and could use some rework I think.
  16. Trying to understand Soul Extraction and the 2 pet training buffs. Just making sure this is correct. It says in Mids that the Soul Extracted pet will gain extra powers if buffed with Enchant Dead & Dark Empowerment. I am reading again in Mids that Soul Extraction last 11 seconds ?
  17. plainguy

    Detonate

I tried it for a bit even getting the cool down to 5 minutes I found it just not worth having. I just was not overly impressed with it. For a 5 minute cool down it better killing everything in the room. It has to be an insta-I-win button for the 5 minute cool down.
  18. See your trying to make sense. No good.. You win the topic.
  19. Side note it works on all pets I noticed. I had a Demon ( whip ) Trap and Hell on Earth would work on FFG, Acid Mortar as well.
  20. I have not many issues with Traps. It pretty much is my go to set for quick and easy defense cap. Porting over some of the changes from Device would be nice.. EG Not being interrupted placing Trip Mine. Time Bomb/Detonator for Masterminds - I don't care what they do with it because anything would be better then current. It is just not usable. I tried to use it on my Mastermind for Thematic reasons and it just sucked.. Period.. With the recharge I got it down to 5 minutes and still was useless. I tested it out solo and you would think it would kill a bunch of mobs. I expected just the bosses to be alive barely and it missed on minions. For a 5 minute timer it better wipe out a whole room. But as mentioned and being repeated move the changes over from Devices to Traps at least.. That is a good start. Maybe make Time Bomb as was also mentioned above into a 3 type of bomb set. Cryo, Fire, Acid, Negative. One thing I never seen in this game is a power to pull mobs in.. Maybe a bomb that sucks mobs into it before blowing up. EG reverse repel.
  21. All Good ideas
  22. Discovered a bug in which Taser/Charm will cause the Oil Slick Target to disappear if you fail to Ignite it. It is pretty consistent.
  23. That I am.. Thank you
  24. Regarding the IO comment. Its just a basic fact with certain sets either primary or secondary you are somewhat limited in your options if your trying to obtain some goal game mechanics wise. So when you pick for example Beast Mastery / Trick Arrow there are only so much you can do. Meaning you can't defense cap. You can't go for super recharge rate. Basically the funnel of choices is smaller compared to for example Robot Traps. I can get perma hasten and defense cap with Robot Traps. So that does have some play in creating a build. You just can't ignore it. You can't say I am pick Primary A and Secondary B and Power Pools 1,2,3,4 and getting perma hasten and defense cap. It just isn't gonna happen. But I want it to happen, still doesn't mean its gonna happen. I don't want fire, I don't want energy.. I want darkness. Why am I being Pigeon holed to picking up Fire or energy and drop another power I might want to ignite Oil Slick ? At the end of the day I had to do what I had to do, to make it work. I picked up energy because it had a shield. But in doing so I had to rework not one or two powers. I had to rework 5 powers and make sure the numbers worked out. Again I hear what your saying.. In a nutshell without all the sugarcoating and pleasantries, you are telling me Pick a power that will make it ignite stop complaining. Or accept the bug and it might not ignite from the taser and you might loose the window to ignite it as well. I'm telling you I don't want to change my build without complaining about it and ask for something to be added into the trick arrow set that would allow for ignite to go off. As I mentioned I did what I needed to make it work on a consistent basis. But doesn't mean they shouldn't fix it to make it work. If your playing a SO build or just slotting IOs without a care then none of this matters. But when you have an end goal build wise it matters. All these things matter. The Primary the Secondary, the IOs that can go into a power. So just saying Slot this for that isn't that easy sometimes. Further if you went on test and just created a toon to test it out and it happen. Its a bug.. Its broken.. Period... If you want to down play it and just say oh its no big deal stop your complaining it might happen every once and a while, just deal with it. That's fine. I can't stop you. But I am still going to say its broken and needs to be fixed. But again I'm back to my its free so stop complaining. End result its here.. Fix it if you want. Change it if you want. I did my work around and when you fix it or change it I will look to see if I want to respec back into the fix.
  25. I don't .. I have a farmer and I have exp turned off for double Inf and I get no incarnate exp.. Otherwise I would have TONS and TONS of emp. Merits. and I don't.. I just turned exp back on to get incarnate exp back running again. I do get threads though.
