  1. Not gonna lie many of my petless masterminds would not be created today without PL and farming in AE. So I am grateful for it.
  2. Just going by mids.. Mastermind empty clips 18.98 Blaster empty clips 10.19 Just a quick example. Maybe the endurance recovery is less for masterminds ? Let me go about this another route.. Coming from experience of playing Many Masterminds petless and full set. Something is wrong because a mastermind without pets looses A LOT of endurance or their recovery rate is much less then other Arch Types. When I say wrong I mean 5 slotting Stamina isn't enough as you level up with SO isn't enough. You cannot play a petless mastermind because the endurance drain is so massive. I can only see it coming from the attacks.
  3. I read up on what your saying. I am a big mastermind player. I also have about 8 petless or semi petless masterminds as well. I do agree with things you are saying, but not all. I do feel like playing a mastermind should come with some sort of driving lessons. I do think that when the player isn't thinking that the team should have the option to kick his tier 1 pets off the team in a cave mission. I do believe this is why when they created going Rogue they made those Sewers TONS much larger. I think eventually they would have reworked all the cave missions to much bigger caves like the sewers. I think they realize they were a bit short sighted when masterminds came out with the original caves. I think right now the way the Mastermind Arch Type is setup you can't punish the player that much for all these pets and issues. Its like blaming the Kheldian for the void npc popping up on that next mish. Its just how it is ATM. I do think personally the homecoming team as a great chance to rework masterminds into another difference Arch Type and Yes I will say they should rework it into my idea I have been pushing for a long time. IF I had the skill or if someone could point me in the direction to learn the skill I would take the time to rework it myself and present it to them on a private server. They should have allowed Masterminds to have the OPTION to have up to 6 pets of assorted tiers. Again I understand your frustration. I hope that when I try to get a team with my One pet people will pick me up and understand. But from what I have read Petless or semi petless is gimped in many players eyes. Mind you my builds are doing 3/8 and they don't care. Mind you many players even with IOs barely do 1/8 but my toons are gimped. So you get the issue. So the Mastermind Player is dammed if you do and dammed if you don't situation. You can't control the pets without the numkey pad binds. If you do you are nuts.. Masterminds are involved and not any easy Arch Type.
  4. I think they should rework how masterminds work.. Some Hero/Villain with Henchmen have Many Henchmen ( Tier 1, 2 and 3). Some Hero/Villain only have a couple of Key top notch Henchmen (Tier 2 and 3) Some Hero/Villain have One really good sidekick/Henchmen (Tier 3) Everyone has a choice between 3 ACTIVE Builds that can only be changed at a trainer. Modify the powers based on the ACTIVE Build. Similar to what Arachnos Solider and Arachnos Widow have at level 24. Allow for masterminds to pick more attacks if they pick less pets. Two more to be exact. So a One pet mastermind build would have 1 pet and 5 attacks and 2 upgrades for pets and for maybe the player as well. Example You pick the one upgrade for the pet it also gives you some benefit to you.. EG first upgrade gives you DPS bonus and reduces the endurance for your personal attacks. You pick the 2nd upgrade as well you have accuracy and dps bonus as well and some defense bonus as well and further reduces your endurance for attacks. NOW you just opened up Mastermind Arch Type to TONS TONS TONS more options.
  5. You know I NEVER ever thought about this.. Funny this never crossed my mind but once I read it I was like holy cow ! This makes A LOT of sense now.
  6. Currently any mastermind primary attack power is double the endurance any other Arch Type of the same power. Can we get endurance cost for these attack scaled down to normal or 2 points at least above the rest. It really reads across as if you are getting punished for picking up an attack power. If the thought process is low endurance means DPS increase because the mastermind can attack while controlling pets and you want one or the other. Then can we code the system to see if the active build has 3 pets slotted ? If not your endurance decreases ? Nutshell anything that can be done to reduce endurance cost. I am just speculating as to why the high endurance.
  7. I do the reply which I discovered accidentally. But I have about 20 level 50s all with IO builds. I meant a way to convert several pieces of salvage into another piece of salvage. Overall I have tons and tons of salvage and that includes with selling salvage and recipes on AH. I probably have 20 or 30 Purple IOs and at least 20 PvP IOs across all my toons. The only thing I buy from AH is the Winter type of IOs.. A winter pack is 10 million.. As I power level a toon, at around level 30 I have about 50 million. I put out low bids and just wait to get the IOs. By the time I get the toon to 50 I have just about all the Unique IOs from the winter packs I need. Mix in moving Hero Merits from just playing on other toons I can covert one defense IO to the Luck of the gambler IO I need. 20 comic con ( 4 runs of 5 mission set ) missions equals roughly 100 million in influence. I can't tell you how many times I bought an recipe in one set at an extremely high price to convert to another in the same type because there were zero in that set and then to just discover the next day another toon had it that specific recipe. With that being said I just want one interface that will give me a list of everything on my account so I don't have to hunt for it. EG WoW had an add on that tracked everything on your ALTs. I would like the same here honestly..
  8. What will this mean to actually have 3 battle drones most of the time ? Instead of the one crazy one running off all the time ? What's next cat sleeping with dogs ? Peace on earth ? I will jump on an check this out. Psst reduce the endurance on Mastermind attacks please.
  9. This is the pet I see coming out of the AE farms.. I have a Cimeroran healer to just pull extra aggro.
  10. I'm sorry you don't have enough inspirations to run a 4/8 Carnie mission solo. I have a farmer with defense cap and 90% fire resistance and he still can die against the incoming DPS. Here is how it is going to play out.. A full tray of inspirations. You will eat a few start the fight keep eating by the time your done with the double pull of mobs you will be low on inspirations. Next fight you will run out and die.. At hospital refill the inspirations and come back and restart where you left off. This will be the rinse and repeat process. Pick the server I will create a lvl 1 stalker and watch you in the mission. I'm sorry but I am calling you out here. I just do not see Storm doing this solo. Once your mezzed and hurricane is down your done. If you said Traps THEN I wouldn't be so vocal. But Storm is Storm is Storm. I don't need a storm mastermind to know this. Once you are mezzed your pets are doing nothing. But I can PL level a toon in a few days or get the cash for a new 2nd build on my demon storm mastermind. Or is robots now only ones that can do this ? I'm sorry Storm cannot do 4/8 Carnie or Arachnos or Malta. But I am willing to be proven wrong.. And if so I will come here and eat crow and kowtow and I will be put in my place and lesson learned..
  11. Here is a link my builds to help you out. As I have everything I post there I can tell you first hand what works or does not. Big issues leveling up semi petless Can get you kicked from teams. Endurance drain is massive. Your attack powers are double endurance of everyone else and it matters. In your instance it doesn't matter as you are not taking them which will be even more painful for you and even more obvious leveling up. Here is the though process on this in a nutshell Real Life Reality Defense capped full pet mastermind can clear a 3/8 mission in 10 minutes. A Petless or Semi Petless takes 15 minutes or even less. Other player perception Defense capped full pet mastermind can clear a 3/8 mission in 10 minutes. A Petless or Semi Petless takes 15 HOURS or its just impossible. Mind you the players making these judgement calls probably themselves have never run a mission on 3/8 to 4/8 setting or even have any IO toon themselves ( or at least not correctly IOed ). In my thread I have Beast Trick Arrow build which is literally doing 4/8. My concept is God of the Wild Hunt with his giant wolf running around. But my issue was I had nothing to light up Oil Slick reliably. I put up a suggestion in the suggestion forum and a bug in the bug forum for what was discovered. End result I had to rework the build. These types of build are either builds you are going to Power level to 50 because you will need incarnates for the endurance issues. IF your using the primary attacks you will notice the endurance is double from any other archtype using the same attack. This adds up.. Unless Masterminds in general have an endurance increase on all attacks from any power pool ( EG fighting pool, Mystic pool ) and I just wasn't paying attention. Back in the day before I could PL myself I would have a secondary SO build I would run the incarnates with and then use the resources with my primary Petless/Semi Petless build. No one had zero clue as no one is looking at IO set builds and no one has a clue by looking at IO set verbiage where you stand with bonuses either. That of course holds even more true today. Today I PL myself to 50, use the money obtained leveling to IO the toon in question and then pull some more from other regular toons. EG Merits for doing converters ETC.. So my point is you might have level to 50 one way and use your secondary build at 50 to get what you want.
  12. Here is the issue with Dark the set does not allow you to build for defense cap like for example Traps does. But I contradicting myself ATM as well I think I might have posted a Typed defense cap build for Dark a bit further down. I will repost when I am home and can look up my mid builds Otherwise I think the best you will do with dark is range defense cap and then get aoe and melee to mid 20s and then have to rely on Darkest night and the anchor staying alive last to get you defense capped. Beast Traps will get her defense capped. It is also a melee centric secondary which works well with Beast as Beast is melee. The minor issue with Traps is it is more stationary. So on a fast pace team Trip mine might be useless. But it also allows you to pull groups and deal with them for yourself solo. Dumb concern but with IO's being defense capped, though Traps is more stationary it has more suvivability. You could literally just use traps with no pets if it got that bad in a pull. So my concern is this gonna create static between them. EG Demon Dark might be zipping around but dying much more then the Beast Traps. Its like the tortoise and the hare thing. Beast Kin will work but again not knowing the kids the pets zipping around especially in a cave could cause some motion sickness. Yes retarded but I've had it occur to me. But again similar issue with defenses, but if they worked on a team it would work well for them between the debuffs of dark and the buffs of Kin.. I also have a bunch of petless and semi petless builds in my thread if TOO MANY pets is too much for them.. Can use them as a secondary build. But they do require to be PL to 50 and do need incarnates sometimes due to endurance issues. But they are defense capped running 3/8 and some at 4/8. But again I'm just overthinking because of the kids. I will post builds when I'm home.
  13. I love, Dual Pistol, Love Devices, Love Assault Rifle. I would like to point you to this thread and yes shamelessly my builds on this thread. I would use Mids Reborn and just swap out AR for DP.. If you would consider Traps EG Traps DP Corruptor it might be better. Reason why, is because the last attack in DP is Hail of Bullets (HOB). Hail of Bullets is a PBAOE attack. Which means for a blaster that puts you in Melee range which is not good as mobs will hit you back and you will have limited defenses to protect yourself. Further as HOB locks in you place you are stuck in that spot until it is done. Though HOB special gives you a bonus to Positional Defense for 5 seconds it still is not enough to keep you alive. BUT DP /Traps will give you full positional defense cap. Plus fly and FFG hovering is pretty cool as well. I have a DP Traps corruptor build as well.
  14. LOL Sorry I'm retarded.. I will pull them from AR device thread here Before I screw this up some more.. Here is the link to the thread on the 2nd page.. Mine are the last few builds on that thread.
  15. I would be willing to pay influence for the following base items. Base Salvage inventory control super computer/ Mystical artifact - Basically you put away the salvage in the bins and the base super computer / Magic device keeps track of all the salvage and adds it automatically to make items. It also keep tabs on what you have and don't have. Salvage converter - Use salvage a,b,c to make salvage item d. Super Group inventory computer/mystical artifact - Tells or gives you an inventory of all the recipes, salvage and influence your other super group mates have. The S.G. Team mate has the option to turn this off or on. Shamelessly I would just like to not keep logging in alternate characters to figure out what I need or don't need and transferring stuff via email all the time I make an new lvl 50 build. I waste more time in the Prep of pooling things together then anything else.
  16. I have a an issue with this. You have no mez protection. On 8/4 setting vs Carnie the Master illusionist are going to crush you ( once you run out of break free ) follow you have no defenses even with bodyguard mode I don't see it. I'm sorry this is impossible with the build posted. I have several storm toons. 12 or 15 lvl 50 toons all IOed out. Thats not including the 5 or 6 Petless masterminds I run around with solo that are capped out as well and IOed out. And I hate making it like I am stirring the pot. Post your new build.. I don't know everything about the game. I played from the start. I understand the game mechanics. I don't profess to grasp how resistance is equal to defenses. I honestly don't see that either.. Defense cap means 1 in 13 hits get through. Resistance means exactly that.. How much is resisted but it gets through. And I am just talking DPS. I tried provoke on a non defense capped toon and got crushed.. I tried using Oppressive Gloom on a non defense capped toon and got crushed. I won't even bother bringing up Malta. You have no Psi protection to survive Carnie and Arachnos.
  17. Traps is a very good set regardless of its stationary type play style. With High recharge you can get out doubles of many of the powers here.. Double Triage Beacon, Double Acid Mortar Double Poison Trap Double to Triple Caltrops I cannot express how good a simple silly power like Caltrops is. It makes everything move. Anything moving is not attacking. Another great thing about Traps it will easily get you defense capped. Which is really GREAT ! Here is my DP Traps builds. Just remove DP and replace with beam. 18. How fast is fast going to be.. Trip Mine every 7 seconds maybe. You can do tons more in 7 seconds. did a quick build with just recharge. best I could get was in the 7 second range. I didn't build for forcefeedback proc.
  19. I disagree with both builds.. Here is my quick take on a Semi-Petless mastermind build I have. First build has no defenses. The 2nd build is high on resistance but still limited defenses. I get the whole Proc thing is the new big thing now. But I clearly spoke in another thread to the player(s) about these builds they are posting. Many of these builds are full of procs that could do some great damage but literally would not survive the return attack because they lack defenses. With Storm you do not have the IO set bonuses available to create a defense cap build. So what you need to do is get range defense cap and then use Hurricane to give you the Melee and AOE defense cap you might be missing. If you could get rid of hover would get provoke to go tankermind route. I will profess I only know defense builds very well. So I would need someone to come here and show me a build with only resistance that they are ACTUALLY using and tell me they are running 4/8 or 3/8 setting. I can tell you I am personally running 3/8 setting on my Semi Petless ( Last pet only ) Demon/Storm Mastermind build. I can 4/8 but 3/8 is just much faster. 22. Small follow up. I was Typed Defensed capped and getting crushed. I didn't get it. I went from 3/8 setting down to 1/6 setting during the Alpha unlock incarnate mission. End result, I forgot about Kuji-In Toh is perma ( 210 second duration with a 60 second recharge ) but you need to click it before a fight. Using it during the fight when your half life is useless. I was trying to use it as a heal, which was a mistake. That being said once I started clicking it as soon as it came up everything turned around. The only minor frustrating thing is switching from Bow to Sword gives you no sword animation for the first 2 attacks.
  23. Was going to edit my post but would be confusing.. You are correct I meant to say Demons are OFFENSIVE.. Sorry for the confusion. I didn't want to get into the mechanics but since you brought up defenses.. Simple suggestion is Range Cap Hover blaster.. Use super speed and Hover.. Turn hover on when the fight is about to start and turn off super speed to save endurance. Maybe try to get Aid other and Aid Self to help out the pets.
  24. Demons have hell on earth which fits with the theme. And from what I hear the Soul extraction isn't anything to waste your time on. Its a power you need to be cognizant of to use. Which means you will be forgetting to use it during a fight. I think also as you mentioned as well. Demons being defensive fits well with the debuffs of Trick Arrow.
