  1. Range capped and midway AOE & Melee capped. Darkest Knight is used to max out AOE & Melee Defenses. Range cap allows you to start your attacks at distance and give you protection as you close in and pick an anchor for Darkest Knight. World of Confusion is there to stave off off some of the Melee attacks. Darkness has enough Hit debuff and the set overall has enough stuns to lock down a bunch of mobs.   3. No you don't You have nothing capped. You have Vengeance on giving you inflated numbers. EDIT - Correction you have Energy capped. .
  4. Thugs is double maneuvers right. You would need some defenses or work for defense cap if you could. This is with Enforcer Maneuvers OFF With it ON you will be at defense cap. Hindsight as I post this. I would get rid of Repel and pickup Provoke. You are free to Proc up gang war if you like. Oppressive Gloom will help with lower mobs not attacking you from stun. It is also a GREAT at getting you aggro combined with Provoke. I sure if you work with this a bit build wise someone could tweak it to make it better, this was just doing standard defense cap build for masterminds.   5. This is what I am running now. Setup Triage Beacon in front of me Pets behind Triage Beacon in stay position Caltrops toss at front of Triage Beacon at tip near the triangle glow. Trip Mine between Caltrops and Triage Beacon. Acid Mortar to side or behind Triage Beacon. Summon FFG behind me at all times, otherwise it will pick up aggro. Caltrops Trip Mine Me Triage Beacon & Acid Mortar Pets Then I Provoke mobs to attack, while spamming pets to stay. I use the Period key on the numkey pad as my all pets stay. I use the numkey pad binds posted on the forums. I Then use the pets all command to attack mobs one by one. I try to do bosses first. I try to keep the pets in that position. But it always does not work. So I have to sometimes put them on passive fast send them back and then put them on aggressive again or bodyguard mode. Once the mobs move in and get hit by trip mine I then put down poison trap and another trip mine. Then I mix it up as I see how the fight is going. Some times dropping a Trip mine can be difficult when a simple light hit will break the placement. I am hoping the Device changes get moved to Traps as that will make it much better set. Pets need to stay near triage beacon. I try to make sure I put a second one as soon as it pops up. Some times I am just provoking as placing trip mines is difficult and several attempts kill my endurance.   10. I would rework your build for range defense cap. I would also look to add Flame mastery for bon fire and Ignite. These are 2 get away from me powers.. You will need it.
  11. Its clear you are new to masterminds. That is pretty much called a Tankermind Build. You are defense capped and pick up provoke to taunt mobs to attack you while your pets mop up. Personally I prefer Traps but you can use Time and Force Field as well. There are tons of those builds on the first page alone. But just search anyone one of those secondaries and this forum and you will exactly find what you need.
  12. I have farmed with my Robot Traps on the city map one.. Again not as fast as a brute fire farmer but it is doable.. Slightly off topic but I have farmed a rad fire brute on a second account with my AR device on a city SL Farm. I took me several days. But NOW I am farming up toons to level 50 in 2 days of mixed play. Nonetheless all those petless builds are farmed. I make about 300k omw up to level 50 as well. Which I send over to the toon to buy the build.

  15. Here is my spin on this. Tankermind wise with Robot Traps.. At defense cap there are times an attack on me from an AV will instantly wipe out my pets.. But the ONLY way I ever seen you can play with the Dark set is Range defense and use Darkest Night combined with your defenses in AOE and Melee to max you out to defense cap. The pain in the backside is when the Darkest Night anchor runs off or dies.. Many people will say this is where fearsome stare comes in. I have asked around on general forum on being S/L capped and S/L resistance capped as a play style and several who play it say it is not the best to rely on this type of build. I also have to purport there is a reason why my petless masterminds are running 3/8 solo and surviving and that is from defense cap. My builds are up in my thread on petless and semi petless masterminds. Mind you this isn't a Mastermind Dark issue. Its just an overall dark issue. Dark sort of kills the ability due to set bonus choices to become positional defense capped. I wish it didn't. I would go with Hyperstrike build if I had to go with a Dark build. But lower the Range defense cap if possible to get another one up a bit higher. I have it at 54% with all the defense toggles on. Or maybe go Scorpion shield and get range and S/L defense cap. And finally a build takes time. It takes me weeks to create, recreate and recreate and then ask and then see another technique and then recreate once again before I get to a final build I am happy with. Then of course I realize I can move one slot to another power for better results and have to respec for one slot change. I will post what I have dark wise to help compare

  18. I would just be happy if they linked the Salvage in the BASE to the recipes. All this high tech and magical stuff and we can't have a Super computer to keep inventory of our silver bars and regenerative flesh. Its like grocery shopping looking through my bins even when color coded by rarity.
  19. I posted a similar idea. But agree with Steampunkette on her example. But to counter this, I would say Forget about pet health and pet death. Instead the system looks at your BUILD and then assigns the buff. So if your build ONLY has one pet there is no recalculating new damage scores on the loss of a pet. I would like to see the following. Only Tier one pet present in the build then the 3 are equal to the last pet ( Tier 3 ) in DPS for example. But your PERSONAL attacks decrease in endurance and do more damage. This compensates for the lack of pets and overall dps. Less pets = You can do more personal attacks. Since builds can only be changed at trainer the possible ability to scam by swapping builds in the middle of a fight for example is nil. Something like this would open up a few more different concepts and power set combinations. Personally I have about 4 or 5 Petless to Semi-Petless masterminds. All doing pretty much 3/8 setting. Some can do 4/8 but it would be slower. 2/8 I think is pretty much the sweet spot. My point is these builds are doable.

I just went with rows. 1 Rack for Orange 3 or 4 for yellow 1 empty for swapping enhancement converters And the rest for white But in the end I had to mix yellow with Orange until I filled the orange out with actual orange con salvage. Would love more salvage racks and would love to have the computer link the salvage racks
  21. Auto Turret used to be stationary tripod like gun. Would love to see a pic of it, if anyone by chance has one.
  22. Whips Kin doing 3/8 with Cots.. sleep and holds issues but not breaking toggles. So once out of hold no need to retoggle anything but repel. Repel is pretty cool as slotted. will respec to remove one IO from weaken resolve and put add another forcefeed back IO to repel. Repel alone is killing minions.
  23. I'm going with the standard build I do normally and break out from there. Radiation is like dark I see so unless you can defense cap you will be relying on your toggles and anchor to keep you at defense cap. ATM right from the start I am thinking Range defense cap, Smash and Lethal defense cap and then mid 20s with Melee and AOE defenses and use Radiation infection to get you to get you to Melee and AOE defense cap. Not crazy about EMP Pulse and the crash. I am thinking power boost instead. Will look at this some more.
