Some boots do have the option to tint the sole (I want to say Baron?) the shoes that are only 1 color right now? Sure, why not add sole for the 2nd color?

No. let me introduce you to Judgement powers vs Blaster nukes or Destiny powers and buff sets i don’t think that any of these things lessen the value of any AT.

About the relative difficulty of fights in this game vs. others
Psyonico replied to temnix's topic in General Discussion
Oh, I agree with you there, this game is nothing like Dark Souls which is why I play this and not Dark Souls. there is some learning involved though, with ground patches and some of the mechanics in incarnate trials, so sometimes you can learn through an encounter, but there is also the role of chance. -
For the tanker version, pretty much the only power I see being skippable is Moment of Glory. It’s still totally useful and I probably won’t be skipping it as a panic button, but I feel everything else is really good. Perhaps Quick Recovery? You stop get some decent recovery resist with reactive regeneration, so if you don’t feel you need the extra recovery it could potentially be skipped?

About the relative difficulty of fights in this game vs. others
Psyonico replied to temnix's topic in General Discussion
I’m going to disagree with you. There *is* a mastery to this game, it’s just not a mastery that requires reflexes. The masters of this game are the expert build crafters and before IOs, the masters were theory crafters. I honestly believe that Repeat Offenders was founded by masters of the game. Most people would look at empathy, for example, and say “it’s an ok support set”. But a few people said “we can make defenders with capped regen, soft capped defense, and almost blaster level damage with this set”. Similarly today, the masters aren’t the ones just finding power combinations that are great, but the ones that say “I can make a build that makes all but the hardest content completely trivial”. And can craft builds that do just that. finally, there is a certain amount of skill involved in playing this game, @Linea created the 801 AE missions as a means to test player skills in more ways than just “how good is your build?” You can have the best build in the game, but if you approach 801s with no strategy you will faceplant within 20 seconds. This myth won’t die. streakbreaker only prevents missed, not hits. -
Teleport Target on enemies is too weak
Psyonico replied to dukedukes's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Fold space requires 3 power picks to get and wormhole requires a specific powerset to be chosen, so I can see those having a higher magnitude than Teleport Target. i do think it should either be bumped up to mag 3 teleport OR have the taunt portion removed. -
A more even distribution of Hamidon, D-sync drops
Psyonico replied to Ukase's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I was just thinking about drop distribution for HOs yesterday. I have no idea whether there’s a weight to them or not. The thought I was having was “is it worth taking the 40 merits for the second round instead of the HO if all I care about is inf” since I don’t know the drop rates, I can’t actually calculate the answer to that question. My gut says “take the merits” because I feel like there are a lot more HOs that sell for < 3million inf than there are that sell for > ~8 million inf that i could turn the merits into. well that was a long indeed way of saying HO drop rates should be looked it. -
You say you don’t get the equivalent of taunt and then say that you take the equivalent of taunt… provoke. wormhole doesn’t just move enemies, it also stuns them. Telekinesis immobilizes and trawls enemies so that the stay where you put them. It also sets up for the levitate synergy. Singularity does *so much more* than just pull in enemies. None of these powers are nullified by a tank that takes Fold Space just like a defender who takes Provoke doesn’t nullify what a tank does.

My namesake is a mind/force field and I used detention field to decent effect in live a few times. But I’ve skipped it ever since.

It’s easier if you attach the build file to a post so that we can open it.

Homogenation - Should all powersets be the same numbers wise?
Psyonico replied to Troo's topic in General Discussion
Why don’t we get world peace while we’re at it? -
Invulnerability is generally the “tougher” set in that you can more easily get both high resistance *and* high defense to most things. willpower is generally the more beginner friendly set in that you have fewer endurance issues and you don’t have to worry about reactionary click powers (not that dull pain is hard to manage). I’ve got both an inv/SS and WP/SS. They can both do the job of a tank very well.

Fixed that for you… actually, I’m not sure what the delay in the zig breakout event is.

I love that a game that was so important to me in a formative part of my life can still be important. i usually don’t do a ton of beta testing, just enough to get a feel for a new set or something like that. I gave my negative feedback to Psi armor on tanks when I first tried the set because it felt so lacking. Once several buffs were given, I gave it a resounding “it feels like a decent set” because it is very much now a middle of the road armor set. And I’m ok with that. Then I tested regen out on a tank and I gave my full praise in the FF thread because it played the way I always thought regen should play. i am thrilled about Energy Aura getting ported to tanks! I said several times over the years that “if EA is too OP for tanks then it’s OP for the sets that already get it”. I haven’t tried out an EA toon on beta, but I feel like the nerf was a lot softer than I was expecting… so again, kudos.

Homogenation - Should all powersets be the same numbers wise?
Psyonico replied to Troo's topic in General Discussion
That would get boring too, imagine if every enemy group fought exactly the same. if you think certain ATs/Power sets are marginalized now, think about if they all had high S/L resist, or nemesis’ confuse protection -

Oh, I know, and in an earlier post I said that SOs feel like a trap and something should be done
-
you can still combine enhancements. I don’t slot SOs until level 7, the I upgrade at level 14 when they all become red, that gives me level 17 SOs. So for my level 16 and 17 slots, I buy level 15 SOs for each slot and upgrade them to 17. Those last until 21, where I upgrade again, I upgrade a second time at level 21 once I train/slot and that gives me level 24 SOs which I use until 27.

Also, fun fact: I’m more likely to judge a kin on their ability to keep SB up than I am on their FS skills. simply put, I don’t spend 100% or my time on fully IO’d out end game builds, and since I don’t, I see value in all team buffs.

If the devs are intent on keeping the cottage rule (see This thread) then the repel is the only thing keeping TK fitting within that rule. I’m not going to argue that TK would be overpowered without the repel, or that mind control is on the edge of being OP and that would push it over (I don’t believe either of these things) but I will say that the repel *is* predictable, it’s always at the same distance from the caster, and right now, you can use it to bunch up mobs that may be just out of range of TK’s pull in.

Bah, you beat me to it! Anyway, @Forager in order for this to be possible without losing functionality that exists in game, the game would need to be able to figure out your intentions in real time. Since I’m fairly certain we are not at mind-reading level of computers, it’s not something that would be “not that difficult”. Also, I gave the OP a perfectly reasonable already existing solution that shows just how messy this thing would become several posts ago. Why, I wonder, did you choose to ignore that comment? I’ll reiterate it though, in case you missed it the first time:
-
I actually have the perfect character to bring to this, but I hesitate to shard transfer toons because I don’t want to risk losing names.

I’ve read this too, not sure if it’s accurate or not, but just in case, I always go to Echo:Atlas Park to respec then just hop back to pyro to have my trays readjust
