  1. Some defender primaries (storm, traps, etc) solo better than others ( Force field for example) That being said, I've soloed just about every character I have, including FF defenders.
  2. I'll second what everyone has said. Resistance automatically resists resistance debuffs Invulnerability is a hybrid defense/resistance set DDR is not overrated on invulnerable (or any other set for that matter) And one more thing... Even if none of the above were true, the simple fact that invulnerability is already a top-tier set means it shouldn't be "buffed"
  3. Katana has always been a left handed weapon in game, hence why you hold it in your left hand when not in combat. The problem (I think) with making choices like mace on hip is that the animation for mace always has drawn from the back, so the devs would have to re-do all the animations with the different locations for every single weapon power.
  4. While Stone/Dark is certainly a survivability beast, if your want aggro grabbing to the max then Ice or Bio armor paired with Spines or Rad melee for extra AOE grabbing attention. Ice/bio both have 2 taunt auras and spines/rad both have an additional toggle power.

  7. Nobody is forced to play the new challenging content, they didn't make the base ITF any harder. Why do you think adding content that isn't faceroll rest is a bad thing?
  8. Pretty sure 3 is the most you'll get. 2 from ice blast and then one from storm or cold.

  11. Pretty sure if you read the text that introduces you to him out says "go outside" or something like that, and when you do go outside it adds him to there compass.

  13. Tankers have Gauntlet, which gives a 5 target AoE taunt to all single target attacks. Savage has 3 good AoEs for tanks too, he should be starting off by jumping in with Savage Leap, which should grab most aggro. Additionally, tanks all have a taunt aura in their primary. (in this case Invincibility) which will help as well.
  14. One thing to think about is that Assault Rifle has 3 Cones and you'll likely be taking all 3 of them, meaning you'll be jumping in and out of melee range. Other than that, I don't think it's too crazy.
  15. This is not a small butterfly effect, this would literally affect 99% of powers in the game.
  16. Yes, but Ageless Radial is better for dark because there's no DDR in the set. Unless you forgo defense in your build, radial is the better choice, making cardiac the best alpha choice.
  17. Gauntlet only adds AoE Taunt to single target powers, not AoE powers.
  18. Illusion controllers are usually very fun for me. Something about all of the chaos they create while being not terrible at control is just the bees knees.
  19. Are you sure you don't have 2 accounts and the toons in question are on the other ones?
  20. my Fear Monger was a Dark/Dark tank with presence pool. Yes, Fearsome Stare is a better fear than either Cloak of Fear or Touch of Fear, but there are no secondaries for Controllers or doms that offer additional fear.
  21. God no! That just would encourage tankers to go "wait here, I'm going to herd the map"
  22. If you're going for a corruptor, your best bet for primary is going to be either Beam Rifle or Sonic. Beam has built in extra -Regen and sonic has extra -resist. I'm going to argue that Traps makes a better big game hunter than either rad or dark, with purple Patch you're looking at a big hit to the -to-hit that you provide, whereas Traps has FFG. Traps, Rad and Dark will all solo well throughout the leveling up process. As for illusion. It will be slow but safe. Once you can pick up Deceive you can take out a hard target before aggroing a group. PA and Spectral Terror are really when you start to be able to solo larger spawns.
  23. The only toon that I've soloed a GM on was my Beam/Traps Corr, though there are probably others that I have that could do it. Illusion/Dark Illusion/Traps Illusion/Rad to name a few contenders.
  24. I've also noticed that "jousting" to get the final hit and (hopefully) land out of range doesn't work because you're in the area when they lost their last HP, regardless of where you are when their animation goes off.
