  1. Plus on the red side, it is quite frequently a kidnapping, not a rescue, and the target is less than excited to be accompanying you to the door. Any excuse to get caught behind a box, dilly-dallying to get separated, a stalker has to contend with the most it seems. Frequently you have to go back and grab them by the scruff of the neck.....GET OVER HERE!!! Play it up...it's great role play.
  2. I spend 80% of my time soloing. I will do an occasional TF and I always join in on GM teams for quick merits. I always run my new characters with double XP turned on. Since they dont earn INF that way, I use 3 seperate AE farming tanks to gain influence for all my characters. I don't multi box. I don't PL myself or others in my farms. I get it done and email the funds to who needs it. I rarely do incarnate content, but I do enjoy the extra benefit that incarnate powers give my characters in regular content. With this said, I do not have a boatload of characters to play, maybe 25-30 ish, spread across 5 shards. I do look at the numbers when slotting and try to make the best possible improvements with my slotting. I do not set out to min-max any character, but eventually they get pretty darn powerful. When it comes time to train I do what I feel my char needs. That's how he grows in my idea of playing the game. I do not use mids. I rarely respec, just hate doing it. Not fun in its current form,, it takes away from the progressive experience to me. My non farming characters do try to enjoy AE content others have written. I just wish there was a way to not be behind the TF Wall, so if someone needs quick help on something, or I need a brief assistance, I could ask for it. Soloing AE is rough when it gets to the final boss sometimes, and I can't ask anyone to help. I enjoy chatting in game at times and helping out in help channel and all the stuff that makes this a friendly community.
  3. My Ice/Stone tank uses Salt Crystals for the ability to slot the self heal proc. Yes I run icicles and chilling embrace, so the sleep effect sometimes doesn't even register, but the self heal goes off every time.
  4. Only lvl 34 on my Earth/Nature Controller, I apply it to Animated Stone and forget it. I have it 1acc, 3 dam currently, but will add procs as slots become available in the build.
  5. You know you can make a Dark/Dark/Soul Stalker as well. Wondering why you excluded that possibility?
  6. Consider this. We can buy our inspirations from contacts, a machine in our base, a nurse at the hospital. Whatever you like, part of your world that agrees with you current character, alignment, origin story, whatever. There is no reason P2W Vendors need to all be named the same thing either. Make the P2W Vendor in Pocket D be a bartender named Otis, or Charlie or Cassandra.

    Best Blappers?

I went with Rad/MentalManipulation blapper. I do the long slow snipe, Womp, womp, womp, womp just for the shizzles.
  8. I go to CC's because its a community activity. Never expect to win, just participate. There's lots of good chat, funny lines. Just support the community and keep this little corner of the gaming world active. WHen its run by actual devs it's usually worth your time, even if you don't win.
  9. You can do pretty much anything you want to, you just have to let people know and they will oblige you. You just can't bring people back who don't want to play anymore. 😞
  10. Set bonuses? That is beyond the scope of this discussion. The OP asks about crafting Generic Common Invention IOs for the badges, should she do it on one character, does everybody do it that way. My point was I don't bother with that because I don't slot a common invention IO until lvl 40, I just use SO's. I never said I didn't use sets. Set bonuses implies using Invention sets, like Luck of the Gambler, of course you should use those, but those have nothing to do with getting the invention badges, which was the original point I was making.
  11. That's certainly a viable way to play it 🙂 We all play differently, and spend our influence differently.
  12. The Upgrade button allows you to automatically upgrade all your SO's to max level with one click. I use it when I ding to keep me at +3. I just did it today on my lvl 24 Controller and it was the first time it cost 1 million. When I trained I add the nearest available like a 25 and then upgrade it to 27 that way. This only works for SO's not IO's.
  13. Ever since the Upgrade button was added I pretty much abandonded sub lvl 40 common IOs. So having a crafting character just seems meaningless.
  14. soo-pear'-a-dyne, accent on 2nd syl-LAB-le, but Tah-los, Tay-los, poTayto Potahto, lets call the whole thing off. Yeah.....swing it!
  15. My Mercs' slottings on my lvl 50 Merc/Poison: Soldiers: AHeel DefDbf, Edict of the MM Defense Aura, 4 Superior M of Supr (including the Resist and Regen Aura one) Spec OPS: 1 50 Acc IO, Call to Arms Def Aura, Cloud Senses NE Damage, 3 Sup Comm of MM (including AOE Defense Aura) Commando: 50 Acc IO, Expedient Reinforcement Resist Aura, 4 Soulbound Alleg (including Chance for BU) I do have some damage procs in my poison attacks, however. Weaken and Neurotoxic Breath both have them. Am I doing it wrong?
  16. Heck, I TRY to get Sefu Tendaji killed. Could never be so lucky.
  17. They die better. Especially the Medic, with that target on his back and low, low hit points.
  18. Is there a badge for being placated? Look That-a-Way Badge or Don't See Me! Badge
  19. A mission with too many Spectral Daemon Lords or Tsoo Sorcerers that doesn't drop enough yellows, run back to door, autocomplete.
  20. My Fire Farming tank is Fire/Savage. Easy non expensive build, can't afk farm, but never a goal to do that. I slotted Savage leap for recharge and damage so it would always be ready for the next grouping. I hit them with a Cryonic cone, then Leap, then go to town.
  21. Ah, so CP is a narrow cone, but PC is a wider cone? Is it as wide as, say, Crowd Control from War Mace?
  22. Which one is better? Power Crash is the Tier 8 from Energy Melee, Cross Punch is the Tier 5 Power Pool attack in the Fighting Pool. Both are cones. Power Crash replaced Stun. I asked this in General Forum and didn't get a response, so I though my fellow Brutes could answer it. Why am I asking? Because I still have not respec'd my EM/Inv Brute after the changes were made to EM and frankly I'm not sure its necessary. I took Cross Punch, never took Stun, so I could replace Cross Punch with Power Crash, but don't really see a benefit, am I missing something?
  23. Yeah, there's a Hole in there, now!
  24. OK, they replaced Stun with Power Crash, right? I never took Stun, I took Cross Punch from the fighting Pool instead. Is it worth my while to abandon Cross Punch to take Power Crash? I'm giving up Fighting Synergy, Foe KD, and Stun for Foe Disorient, Special. Why should a Tier 8 power from a primary be less desireable than a pool power? Is it actually better? How is it better?
