  1. Glad to have you on Homecoming! Yes, the game is easy at lower levels. Especially on a Brute. But there are many "challenge" types of things AT/Powerset wise. Then there is the deep end hard mode stuff at end game. First you will probably encounter teams running +4 content. then maybe try your hand at a 2star or more Task Force. Deep end indeed. Say hello to the Titannic while sightseeing!
  2. On a resist armor I do not like any Resist below 50. This takes my toxic to 53%. My defenses are heavily reliant on Resist, Fear, Stun and ToHit debuffs. I do not know how well that will fare in 2star+ content but I am relatively happy so far. I need to run some 50+4 content at this point to see about that. My thoughts are it will be fine if I play smart. I doubt it will handle anything tougher than that easily. Shadow Maul at this point is an old friend, having run it on Brutes and Tanks. I find 3 pts KB prot a bit light, and would need to do advanced rebuild to squeeze on two PvP partial sets for -3KBx2 Assassin Mark in an AoE. Hmmm. Would that work in Touch of Fear??? (to fire the proc?)
  3. Dark Armor does. I run that....everywhere. Yet I can always choose the option that allows me to see my loving vampire in full glory. Same with Devices from AR. Not so Stalker. And it has a "beyond cosmetic" impact. (and lets face it, the game says RP, so we are building a role) On my Stalker I need to build up and Assassin Strike. When you are invisible, especially in a huge combat, it is REAL easy to not place your Stalker correctly. And blow the attack. So it screws your DPS hard. So, for Role Play reasons, and Game Play reasons, just allow us to see the character we run.
  4. After levelling a Dark Dark Stalker and listening to the good advice here I have revised the build. I find The Cloaks do HEAVY lifting for my survival. I knew they were important on my Tank but they really slow the pace of incoming attacks and allow me to murder the people coming in one at a time.   5. Pool powers are always stronger than AT powers.
  6. Yes, the time was right to bring my namesake to the correct AT. So far I am NOT disappointed. I alt acct farmed to 24. Then did (in this order) Posi2, Posi 1, Synapse, Tarikoss, Yin, Silver Mantis. Now at 36 and will be doing the TFs SFs and Trials in as much level order as possible. I always find this helps me learn a new AT or powerset. Having run Dark Dark on Brutes and Tanks it is insane to see it obliterate enemies. The stacking Fear from Touch of Fear, Cloak of Fear and AS is chef's kiss.
  7. good advice thx. just ran a posi 1 and 2. very nice ST damage. looking forward to the fear effect in AS stacking with Dark Fear. Going to be a slog through kill all TF in the lowbies. but i bought p2w 'nades. Then, i can see at the high level, just a ton of ST where you need it.

  9. No Fade is a thing on many invisibility powers. Some stalkers want to fade away. They love it. Others of us, we like how we look. We KNOW the idiots cannot see us because we are "magic/technological/timewarped/whatever" and do not need to disappear from the screen to make this a real thing. Just a nice option. One that could not possibly be that hard to slap on.
  10. I based this off my Brutes and Tanks. With them I ignore Def (No, i don't. I rely on to hit debuff, Fear, and Stun) Then build for Resist and lean into Recharge and Heal.   11. Not even kidding. Of all the years I have been on CoH/V I have probably played a Stalker in total less than 24 hours. In the "modern" CoH what does the Stalker do? Like on a Team. Do you have to wait for Hide W/E to happen then Strike, or in big scrums do you just start acting like a Scrapper? Why do Stalkers have AoE? (I am of course considering a Dark Dark. all toggles. I am a fanatic after all) Don't toggles just screw up what a Stalker is doing and turn them into a less effective Brute?
  12. Well that is interesting. My mind convinced itself I saw an accuracy count for Caltrops in MiDs....that is not there. But I found out it is used for Procs. Which I am mostly annoying minions with and running Targeting Drone, Tactics, and a Kismet+6% on. So. A little wiser and not sweating it. I may even adda proc!
  13. The power accepts accuracy and counts the value. Is accuracy not checked?

  15. i guess its time to experiment on the locals... Seems it has a meh chance to proc as you throw it and then a random here and there afterwards. Enough to justify slapping in the two pieces of winter for the 15% res to slow effects. That and I have two pcs of bomb in it for +5% range. Rocking a global +35% range boost on my AR Dev and that just gets hilarious. Snipe Rifle and LRM are at 240 feet effective. I hit peeps with LRM and they forget why they were running before they get to me! (kidding, but they tend to be dead anyways....)
  16. Do PROCs work in odd powers like these? If so, how well? Do they PROC randomly during the life of the pseudo pet? Or just when tossed?

  18. The Skulls are getting the jump on a new Hero in Atlas. Scissor Man. My advice. Avoid him. Never run with Scissor Man.
  19. There are badges (available in Ouro, or by turning off exp at 4, 7, 8, 9, 14) For all content completed in Atlas, Mercy, and the Hollows. There are badges for certain specific missions at every level range. But that is grinding. I guess. Because you are doing something. I have one question. What, EXACTLY, is not grinding to you?
  20. Okay.... You do not want to solo. You call that "grinding" even if every single mission and story arc is different for three months play. Okay. Do not do it. I also offered up team options. Which you did not address. I can only assume since there are maybe 10-15 "types" of things a 50 team does that would very quickly become "grinding" Your original post said there was nothing to do at 50. That you did not understand the detailed explanations people gave of what to do at 50. I offered up months of easy to find and non repeat content. "But that is grinding." I got nothing. You do not seem to WANT to play the game. But it is the game's fault because there is nothing to do. Good luck.

  22. Wouldnt it be great if the weapons NEVER disappeared. Oh, but you say, they have to. If you use X power then it has an alternate animation. Solution. Costume editor. that power. Alt Animation. Hold weapon up. Shoot weapon. Hold weapon forward. Anything. with weapon. Because my OCD butt twists myself in knots with backstories that describe the animations. Disappearing weapons.... this is challenging. For NO reason. Simple alternate animation. Literally shoot gun. Hold sword up. Swing sword. W/e All of that is in game.
