ahem. yes. but a great deal is made about this and it (very) rarely affects gameplay. I have had it become bothersome in Shadow Shard TFs. and that is literally all I can think of. There are certain AVs you need to take extra precautions against (inspirations) and that is all. you give away quite a bit on high end builds getting a little more survivability vs psi and a lot less survivability against everything else running willpower instead of invulnerability. in my opinion. wish it was not so, i love willpower. but math does not lie.

Here is what i came up with. A few caveats. I have no idea what Titan Weapons are. I took a tanky Hyperstrike Titan/Invul post from the boards and did three root canals on it and then put in a grill with diamonds. No idea what it will work like. My concept is to use Titan weapons as much as possible and pump rech/acc. I wanted all powers based on (very little) research. I assume it will be Tanky and slow but do great at regular content. I am pretty sure (like all melee) it will be less useful at 50, 50+, and incarnate work. Probably more useless than a great variety of other options in that realm. Should still be pretty tough unless hit with Psi/Toxic non stop. The Hami-Os in Dull pain are placeholders for two level 50 Hami Rech/Heal from Dr Aeon's SF. I still have not upgraded MiDs. On a modern build (use Hyperstrike’s templates) Invulnerability can do everything Willpower does and then more. Good luck with whatever you choose
-
Hey folks. If anyone has a Tian / Invul Brute build laying around? Preferably with NO redraw (powers that cause that) so probably more tanky and no attacks from epics I am guessing? Thanks
-
What is the attack set? Seriously any hints would help. Although we can kill a few days trying to guess shat you are running…. In general yes there are a few things you do different on Brutes. In reality it is not much. Spinning rims instead of four tone paint job But knowing more about exactly what you are doing will help answer the question man goes into the doctors office. “Doc I hurt. Can you help?” ”Where do you hurt?” The doctor asks ”First it was at my house.’ The man replies. ‘But it got a little worse on the drive over”

Listen to Hyperstrike. I run his builds and derivations of his builds. Michelin Five Star Builder.

Looking to Improve my SS/WP Brute from around HC Launch
Snarky replied to meowkittyface's topic in Brute
Sigh....Psi. First, I would suggest using Invul. Anything Will can do Invul can do better on a modern late game build. I loved Will when it came out. Ran it for over a year. A blessing when there was no inherent fitness. Now it is an F15 in an F22 world. Obviously Invul will not help with Psi. Much. Although the improved defenses and DDR does help a bit. If you stay with Will and must hunt Psi monsters I would suggest cranking health and regen. eat a purp/orange when they drop. I am currently maining a Dark/Invul. Psi/Toxic/AVs/unavoidable damage patches. Only times I have to "play smart" Watch what I pull, inspiration management etc. That is the key to getting through the tough fights. If you are main tanking something stupid stay with the team, get some support. Of course incarnates put the afterburner on everything. Mobs are tougher, but you have more powers/pets. Play smart. Play mean. Play Brute. -
You schmucks have seriously threadjacked my griping about the Devs wimping out and yanking the Rage fix because SOMEBODY whined like a baby about taking their binky away...
-
You almost immediately want to get a money making scheme. This can be 1) begging. Surprisingly effective and probably moreso than asking for a farm. Mention in game chat that you are new and broke…. 2) run a 50. These things make money hand over fist if you actually play them. 3) step that up, farm! AFK farming makes tons of cash while you watch netflix. Move the farmer every ten minutes. 4) learn to craft, convert, sell. There are guides. Lot of cash. 5) play the market. Pretty entrenched at this point but there are still some niches I am sure good luck
-
Welcome back! You have been missed. Probably. I actually have no idea. But welcome back!
-
I was just about to chime in lol. And yes, you living old players have not reached the age of some of the scuff marks on my favorite coffin yet.
-
I'm not your "Bruh" dude.
-
It takes a little work to generate a few hundred million in game. It is very predictable. Farm or craft. Or my version farm for a couple hours and craft ALL recipes convert and sell
-
Look I am not even trying to hide the fact I use a metric ton of hyperbole in my recipe for Snarky linguistics. But..... the MAIN point is we had the fix to Rage on test and it was killed by the Devs after a bunch of whiny babies (you pick the groups, it's like mystery date....) crapped their diapers, threw their binkys and screamed their bestest and only reason for living was being taken away (part of the last statement is irrefutable, points to you if you can pick that part out)
-
So saying I lie without calling me a liar. Not even subtle Hitting people with street justice or energy melee does not equal Super Strength. We had a fix for super strength rage on the test server and 12 people with pacifiers dangling from their mouths screamed someone was trying to take their binky away and the Devs caved and nixed it

Universal Damage - Overwhelming Force - Questions

the order of PROCs does matter. THey fire from right to left -
To be clear my first toon back was a SS/Invul (build by Hyperstrike thanks!). And I still have the toon fully built up Ot is just so frustrating to have had a Rage crash fix literally on the table and then to have it pulled away so PvPers and Farmers are happy Super Strength is iconic in the comic world. But we have a version that is appropriate to a tiny percent of Super Strength users in the comics. My SS/Invul Brute has a backstory of being a gym geek who started using steroids and preworkout drug cocktails and escalated until finally was using Excelsior and Superadine fixed into mixes by an underground alchemist using black magic. He has Rage issues. The story works. My dream is to have a happy go lucky Super Strength character (or many alts) that are not slaves to Rage. But screw that idea, the concept is baked into the power set

I used it on my Dark/Invul Brute to do all content 1-50 that could not be done at 50. Still working on 35-50 that can be done at 50. Particularly annoying were blueside 'rescue 17" (yes, 17, multiple times) which after you stealth, find, "rescue" the mission is in fact a kill all But generally you just stealth to glowie, kill room that has glowie, done.

Everything starts to look like a troll post at a certain point.

Trying blue but I want to kill Longbow..part 1
Snarky replied to The_Warpact's topic in General Discussion
Having just ran all Blueside content that cannot be run at 50.... F-ing underwhelming. The Hollows has some decent stuff. Faultline at least has flavor. Not much else. To me everything Blueside was a boring hump generously layered with kill alls and 'rescue' 17 people in a mission, oh wait you did that? It's a kill all. Fooled you! Nice writing there. Like being hit with a plastic bat a few hundred times. -
i disagree

people do what they want. what they need. something was taken. they got it back. they may have been done with the game BEFORE closure. but the knowledge that what was theirs was taken will spur many to use their unique set of talents to get something back. anyone can play, we welcome people who play for nostalgia, to prove a point, to claw back what was stolen. what we need is people who WANT to PLAY, for whatever reason. players who want to run content, badge, socialize. farmers farm. has zero impact on my life. because they would never play with me. they are flying a plane, i am walking around cap au diable
