  1. If that is the case why slot a Def/Recharge IO in it instead of the single +def from LotG ?
  2. The problem with farming merits is that you only do it for the funzies because everything you could get from merits, you can get with inf and you can farm inf a lot faster than you could farm merits. A full Winter IO set will rack you up 600 merits or about 120mill inf. You can probably get that inf in an hour or 2 depending on your clear speed. Best case scenario for merits you are getting like 100 per hour
  3. Electric Affinity offers full status protection if you can keep your dudes in the faraday cage. Not sure how well that works thought since I haven't gotten around to rolling one, but EA is the only set that offers actual status prot not merely cc resist
  4. Dark is fantastic for a MM, it debuffs, it heals, it controls and it's thematically on point with Demons
  5. Thanks a lot for the great breakdown !
  6. I might have gone overboard with the Soulbound Allegiance, it was mostly for the sake of the argument since it's a unique. Also I am going to be playing this guy as Electric Affinity so I might be good on endo since it has Energizing Circuit for +end. So Lady Grey, Achilles' for procs then possibly a 2pcs Reactive Def set (Def, Def/End) and set bonuses and 2 frankenslot Acc/Dam ? How good is Gaussian's in these pets ?
  7. How many procs is too many procs for MM pets ? For example with a Thugs MM, I can add to Call Enforcers: Touch of Lady Grey, Achilles' Heel, Gaussian, Shield Breaker and Soulbound Allegiance. Call Enforcers is a special case in the Thugs set since they have such a wide variety of skills to pull from, is it actually worth it to stack procs like this on them ?
  8. Here's what I got based on yours, the Def to s/l is better, I added an extra proc to Water Jet, added the second slot to hasten, not 100% sure it's needed though can't remember what the exact break point is. Got rid of Acrobatics and added Steadfast protection KB prot IO instead and took Vengeance for the LotG mule. Added some slots to Kick for Kinetic Combat set. I don't remember the exact break point of perma hasten but I'm pretty sure it's lower than 155% (90something % IIRC) so some sets can probably be changed fix the overabundance of +rech (possibly change the Preventative Medicine set in Transfusion for Numina's for starters) I'm by no means a mids expert but I hope this helps ! 9. This is the correct way of viewing anything in CoH IMHO
  10. Yes, I see how that work now. Thanks !
  11. Is there a way to turn off the level requirements for placing slots ? Currently, when I go to my level 49 power, I can only place 3 slots into it because I only have 3 level 50 slots. In game, if I respec I can have a full 6 slots in my level 49 power. Any way to change this ? I have not found the option to do so. I can see "Level up Mode" and "Dynamic Mode" but none of these lets me have 6 slots in my level 49 power Thanks
  12. What I have noticed is that many people make builds that are not exemplar friendly. These people think that it's great to power level a character to 50 and start playing it from there. They are allowed to play however they will and there is no problem with seeing it that way. For me, personally I like to play my characters in all sorts of level ranges, not only at level 50. So yes, if I see a build that has hover in it at level 49 it is perfectly reasonable to to switch around the powers to make it more exemplar friendly. In the end, once you are 50 it makes literally no difference in what order you chose your powers. Do i need to take Hasten in this build ? Yes. Does it need to be at level 12 when it's not even perma and my endurance situation isn't sorted out ? NO. Hasten, Stealth, Assault, Tough, Weave (if not melee at least, if you are melee you probably need tough and weave asap) and such are powers that are really easy to get a little later on in the build to make room for powers like Hover or Combat Jumping. Don't skip out on your primary and seconday powers, but it's pretty safe to play around with the power pools.
  13. If you don't know what you are doing in mids, it's not that big of a deal. Look around on the forums and on reddit and I'm pretty sure that there is a build out there for about every combination of powersets available. Once you have looked at a bunch of builds you start to get an idea as to what IO sets come up more often than others (Red Fortune, Luck of the Gambler, Reactive Defences, Aegis, Winter Sets, Ragnarok, Numina's, Panacea etc) it makes it a lot easier to build you own stuff. I have been playing since July of last year and I have just made my first build 100% by myself last week, before that I would just find builds already made and switch out a power here and there to suit it to how I want to play the character This isn't really accurate at all, you can play whatever you want and it will likely work, some combos just need a bit more investment than others, like if you make a Titan Weapon character and choose a def set that doesn't give extra end regen you might be in for a tough time. To do this all you need to do really is choose your powers in the correct order, like if you choose Hover at level 49 you might find it rough exemping down. Next thing to do is to buy Attuned IOs for all your powers. Also slot your health and stamina ASAP so you don't miss out on them when exemp. Simple as that Many sets have pretty bad 6 piece bonuses, not ALL of them but many of them have toxic/psi/mez resist as 6pcs bonus which is very very skippable so it is easy to put a proc in those powers and not really feel any downside. It all boils down to if you need the set bonus or not. Is your fire def already as def cap ? If yes, then you don't need it. There is a whole art of slotting procs to powers, lots of formulas with recharge timers, activation times and ppms that I can't be bothered to learn, but it's pretty easy to just have 1 or 2 procs in any given damage powers, 1 from the 5/6pcs set you are equipping in it and another from the frankenslot
  14. Possibly, but I`ll take a nuke any day VS a rain power where the mobs can run out of it and scatter. Not to mention that they will probably all be dead before the duration of the rain is up
  15. I would suggest you have a look at the Archtype forums, they are all rich with discussions and build examples about the various powerset combos available https://forums.homecomingservers.com/forum/43-archetypes/ Also if you want to view the builds more in depth you need to get the Mids Reborn character planner
  16. Wow people are still crying about this ? I have been afk farming for weeks now while I'm working from home. Started before the nerf and I was seeing about 300mill per day doing that. Just vendor trashing everything that isn't rare salvage or recipes worth 5mill+ After the nerf, doing the exact same thing I'm seeing about 250mill return on my day. It's not that big of a deal guys, the huge amounts of inf you get from selling generic IO recipes is still there. It blows my mind how people are still, after weeks crying about this. Seriously you guys "marketeers" are a part of any "auction house" style economy and they aren't going anywhere and honestly I doubt there is anything that can be done to curb them without impacting everyone else. If you aren't happy that there is a market for that kind of playstyle moaning about it in a 1000+ reply thread over and over isn't going to change anything. The reason the "marketeers" even have a viable path is because people want to sell their stuff fast and there is literally nothing you can do that will change that. People want their money now because they are playing now and they want their rewards now. There is nothing wrong with that, if it wasn't for those people playing the market like they do, all those people wouldn't be able to have their rewards when they wanted them. And before anyone says how people should just be patient and price their wares accordingly. You are wrong. You don't have the right to dictate how people play the game. If somebody wants their money NOW there is a path to do so and it is their right to get it. If the person wants to get their money and craft their stuff to be ready for the next gaming session before logging they can and will do that and no amount of bitching about it here will change that.
  17. One thing to note with Hell on Earth is that it can take all of the resist/defense aura IOs from the various sets so that you can free up those slots in your regular pets for procs and such. The power can take all of them and they will be functioning even when your hell on earth power isn't active: Edict of the Master Sovereign Right Command of the Mastermind Call to Arms Expedient Reinforcement Mark of Supremacy Having these 6 Aura IOs slotted will take your mastermind to the next level by making your pets extremely more durable
  18. Titan Weapon is a self contained set, the only skippable power in it is Taunt. Being so well rounded you don't need any patron/epic power pools to make it function really well provided you have a secondary that has some good end regen in it. Rad, Bio, Willpower (really need to have Performance Shifter + Numina, Miracle, Panaces IO procs) and the like will let you be a one man show. Defensive Sweep is good to have at the early levels, but is really lackluster once you get higher up and you have proper defenses. It's still good to have as a 1 slot wonder power to use as a Luck of the Gambler mule though
  19. The main problem with Ice is with it's lack of good AoE, I never really like rain powers in general and with Ice that's all you get. As for Kin, yes all you do really is buff, but the set really only shines at level 38 when you get Fulcrum Shift, then you turbo charge the whole team to the stratosphere. Fulcrum Shift is the one and only reason you should be playing Kin. Other than FS, like you mentioned, all it is is reapplying buffs that have a really short duration and throwing a heal around when needed. Personally I would play a set that can leverage the damage buffs you get from Kin better than Ice. Fire is the obvious choice with all the AoE you get from it. Water also does really well here. Ice really shines when you are fighting single targets since you can hold pretty much any target by yourself. But at this point, if all you do really well is hold stuff, you might as well be playing a /kin Controller IMO, Ice Slick is so much more fun to watch than Blizzard
  20. According to the March 2020 stats, Kin would be the best support set for Corruptor by far. The new Electric set will probably throw a wrench in these stats down the road once it takes it's place but I doubt it will unseat Kin anytime soon
  21. Galvanic Sentinel takes End Mod IO sets. Does anyone know if I drop a Performance Shifter end proc into it if it will give me back end when the pet casts stuff ? or only when I cast the pet ? Or will it give the pet end back when he casts stuff ? Thanks !
  22. I guess it's going to be option 1 since I dropped 600 mill on it last night XD The nice thing about Faraday Cage is that it gives full status protection (Mag 6) so I don't need to fiddle with Rune of Protection !
  23. Selling recipes that are worth 1-1.5 mill when it costs 1+ mill in mats, crafter fees and AH fees is not worth the time to bother with it. Why would I waste my time painstakingly putting up yellow and white salvage for peanuts when I can go and kill mobs in a fire farm. I make 100x the amount I would make wasting my time putting that trash up on the market by just killing more stuff in the farm map Is why I vendor 95% of what i get
  24. During the day time I just AFK farm on my fire brute all day when I'm working with my laptop (work laptop on monitor 1, gaming rig on monitor 2). I usually vendor trash almost everything because I can't be bothered to sort through all the trash drops. What I DO keep, and I just dump it on the auction house vault to craft/sell at the end of the day are: Rare Salvage and IO recipes that are worth 5mill+ After a while you get a good idea at what is worth something and what isn't. Anything with Gladiator in the name should go for 10 mill+, Experienced Marksman, LoTG, Panacea, Aegis and a few others. The only converting I do is to convert some purple recipes that aren't worth as much into others that are
  25. My main inquiry here since I have never built a Corruptor is the where the defences / resists are at. Should I strive to be capped everywhere like a melee character ? I'm not sure it's feasible without a defence set. Here is where there at when in the cage:
