  1. Must be some other set bonuses in play, on my 41 DM tank it heals for 173.14 of my 1887.2 HP which is 9% of my health. Yeah I was off on my 5% guesstimate from looking at my health bar move in the team window but not THAT far off
  2. Very nice, thanks for that insight, I will swap them. The Winter set is more there for the amazing set bonuses than for the procs anyways
  3. Might be worth it to put a Healing IO in it instead of a damage proc but not 100% sure it's worth it to lose a ton of damage for it, the power only heals like 5% of your hp anyways
  4. If you love e-peening dps-metering on Pylons /Storm will get you the furthest up the ladder. /Storm does a bunch of damage on it's own but it's mostly from the little clouds zapping single targets. It has the tornado too but it has a habit of wandering off when there are multiple targets to choose from. The Ice rain power is pretty nice for debuffing and Gale slotted with a knockdown is really fun to use. With all these offensive skills though come a severe lack in healing and buffing, be prepared to feed your pets a lot of inspirations since you only have Steamy Mist for buffs and a single target heal. Time and Kin on the other hand are all about making your pets do the dirty work and keeping them alive. Kin has the biggest damage buff in the game, Fulcrum Shift and a bunch of other nice buffs. Time is an all round great secondary that checks all the boxes, buffs, healing, debuffs and control. Personally I am having a grand old time playing with my Thugs/Elec. Electric Affinity has a good damage buff (22-25% IIRC) some great healing ability from 2 skills, a heal and an absorb. It also has a +end buff that really helps because Thugs actually do run out of Endurance. And lastly FARADAY CAGE, the reason why you roll /elec, full on status protection and +res for everyone standing in the radius. It's the only support set to offer a near complete status protection package (only missing confuse I think). So really it boils down to: Do you want your secondary to do all the dirty work with your pets being bodyguard meatshields? /Storm (Storm IMHO is probably best suited to a controller that can keep everything immobilized/held in your kill zone) If not then Kin, Time and to a lesser extent /EA (because I like it most personally) are the way to go
  5. Bruising was a 20% resistable and unstackable -res debuff off the t1 attack, so single target. They just gave Tankers a flat out 15% damage increase across the board, that's not a nerf, that's a buff. You were never even getting the full 20% -res from the t1 attack unless you were hitting minions with it anyways. Combined with the aoe and max target changes, that's a massive buff. Just because you refuse to accept that those changes are actually buffs doesn't mean that it's actually not a buff. I honestly think that you are gaslighting yourself here because there is no way that these changes can be viewed as a global nerf. Sure if you enjoyed soloing -1 missions and only spamming brawl and your t1 attack on the minions there it's probably a nerf but for the rest of us "normies" who don't enjoy spamming t1 attacks on minions there's no real argument that it's a nerf
  6. So here is where I'm at with this build, I've been seeing how I can make it work (on paper). Seems to be in a pretty good place right now, would like to get Perma Hasten but I think that 11 secs off perma isn't too shabby (239.65%) S/L/F/C resists are a smidge over cap. Negative is a smidge shy of cap but Energy is relatively low at 55% S/L/M Defenses are at softcap but the rest are kinda taking a back seat 🙂 Should be a good enough build though. This is my first real tanker build so I would love to hear some feedback on it Thanks ! 7. Why would you opt out of your pbaoe power ? Wouldn't you open with that after using Blood Thirst, or build 5 stacks RF, Blood Thirst, RF. My farmer is SM and I wouldn't go without that power That being said, if you have a DA/DM build hanging around, I would love to look at it
  8. I recently starter a DA/DM tanker and I have been looking at some builds around the forums and I noticed that nobody uses Cloak of Darkness, Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom. Now I understand why CoF and OG would be skipped since it makes herding mobs harder and CoF is a massive end hog but why skip Cloak of Darkness ? Seems like a perfectly fine +5%Def power to me. Secondly this one is directed to @Sir Myshkin to other proc experts; if i were to take Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom, how well would it do if I slotted a bunch of damage procs into them ? Cloak of Fear can take 3 damage procs, OG can take 1 and Death Shroud can take 4 + Fury of the Gladiator and a Knockdown from Avalanche. Would this be a buzzsaw proc machine or do the procs have some cooldown mechanic and not go off ? Thanks !
  9. So you decided for the 1 year anniversary of Homecoming to dig up a thread from the first day the servers opened ?
  10. you most definitely don't want to use a VGA cable for anything above 1920x1080. Even then, at 1920x1080 resolution it will not be a clean image because VGA is an analog signal. VGA is a legacy I/O device introduced in 1987 that is seen less and less on newer hardware. Most new GFX cards don't even have the port anymore and it is only included on laptops and motherboard for compatibility with old hardware. HDMI and Displayport cables are what is needed for large resolutions
  11. The PS +End would be slotted into Inexhaustible since it is the auto power meaning that it will proc on it's lonesome. I'm actually coming from a TW/Bio Scrapper point of view but I think the end hoginess of SS is similar to TW because of the rage crash. On that character I have Inexhaustible 2 slotted with Performance Shifter + end and Performance Shifter End Mod. DNA Siphon is slotted with a 5pcs Preventative Medicine, which I find more useful personally than taunt since you already have a taunt aura (Evolving Armor) I'm not sure it's really needed to have a taunt set in that power at the exclusion of all the healing you could be getting from it. Other than that, I don't really have an opinion on the tanker vs brute dilemma as I have never played a SS character
  12. Yes, significantly more. I usually 2 slot my stamina and put a Performance Shifter + end and Performance Shifter End Mod to get the 2piece bonus In the case of Bio Armor and a number of other sets with an extra passive end regen power you can slot a second Performance Shifter + end IO to get double duty on the proc. If you were to get the Physical Perfection from the Energy Mastery Epic Pool you could slot a third one if you were really, really strapped for end
  13. Panacea in Health since it is a unique Put a second Performance Shifter +end in Inexhaustible since PS is not Unique
  14. I quoted the wrong person because the statement "Way more than 20" seems to imply he was disagreeing with your guess on the stun mag which was accurate
  15. That's about right, I have done it with 2x /EA stacking 2x Faraday Cages which are mag 10.38 each and the stun is completely negated
  16. I use these commands for the numpad controls https://cityofheroes.fandom.com/wiki/Mastermind_Numpad_Pet_Controls
  17. I try not to look at those people RP-flirting at the bar in Pocket D in the eyes as I pass by from my base porter
  18. ahh right it's been a while, still my point stands that I find it a highly annoying skill when most other sets have it as a toggle
  19. Just remove brawl from your bar and forget it exists
  20. Everybody needs to get out when Romulus does his rez. The Magnitude of his power is very high. You would need a /Electric Affinity character to cast a Faraday Cage to avoid it
  21. interesting, might give me a reason to bother casting him in teams
  22. Wait, you use Brawl on level 50 characters ? I usually just buy the p2w attack powers at level 1, remove brawl from my bar and forget it exists until i make a new character and have to take it off of his bar.
  23. Here's the deal with /elec for Blasters: All of the Blaster secondaries have an endurance recovery mechanic, most of the are toggles that you turn on once and never touch again. /Elec is not a toggle it's a spell that needs to be cast and it has an annoyingly long animation (shares the same animation with Thunder Strike from Electric Melee) and an annoyingly short recharge so you can't set it on autofire because you will stop moving every 15-30 seconds to ponderously jump in the air and slam back down. I scrapped my /elec Blaster after seeing this abomination in action
