  1. I came here to say this ! Really the only problem with the set is Black Hole, but what set doesn't have a power or 2 that is skippable ? the Dark sets (Miasma and Affinity) are so good that it doesn't really matter if 1 power is noob trap level bad
  2. You could probably add Panacea endurance proc to Health and drop the 3rd slot from Stamina to put it elsewhere and still end up with very similar results
  3. Bump plz @GM Tahquitz can this thread be made sticky ?
  4. You can probably just take one of the Brute builds for Rad/Fire found here and make it into a tanker build without changing anything since they don't use any ATOs. Depending on how you plan to afk farm, it might be better to make a brute since they will be doing a ton more damage. If you plan on coming back every 30 mins to change the map it probably doesn't matter much if you make a brute or a tanker, but if you plan on changing maps every 10 minutes it might be best to make a Brute

    Farming

I have found that turning off the Boss monsters when you farm doesn't reduce the amount of inf you make because you clear that much faster. I'm guessing this is a general content character that you use for farming every once in a while so it might not have these attacks, but an extra AoE attack like Ball Lightning and Electrifying Fences from Mu Mastery or Fireball from Pyre Mastery go a long way to clear farm maps. If you don't have access to these attacks in your current setup, then lowering the difficulty to +3 will probably do the trick. The "Go To" for farming will always be Fiery Aura, Burn just does so much work here, not to mention Blazing Aura and Fiery Embrace. The top attacks all farmers use are Burn, Ball Lightning, Electrifying Fences and whatever pbaoe power you primary set has in it, in your case Foot Stomp. Spines is the most "Optimal" because it has an extra damage aura in it but it isn't mandatory to run Spines to be a successful farmer, mine is Savage Melee and it does just fine with Rending Flurry pbaoe and Savage Leap telenuke
  6. I know, still a bit silly though that it has that restriction. I mean I can cause an earthquake while hovering soooo
  7. You're right there, I'm looking at it in Mids and it's much less obvious that it boosts the other stuff ! (I didn't read through the description box and only looked at the effects)

  9. I'm not too sure about Stalagmites, I've been playing this gal for a bit yesterday and I found out that you can't use this power for some reason when you are Hovering... I kinda like Hover so I'm probably just going to drop this and add those slots somewhere else
  10. You're confusing Power Build up, which is the acc/dam (10%/80%) buff with Power Boost from Soul Mastery which boosts all secondary effects (excluding accuracy and damage). As a Storm/Ice, Power Boost would strengthen the slow effects, the holds and the knockdowns. Nothing too interesting and worth it IMO, I find it to be a good pick in power sets that have buffs and heals to boost those.
  11. OP said he didn't like it and personally I only use it to reposition mobs a bit to make nicer stacks when I play Storm and considering the metric ton of end it costs to maintain I find it to be a very skippable power. The -to hit is very nice but the hassle it involves of having everything fly around the battlefield isn't my cup to tea. Could easily drop Assault in the build to take it though
  12. Sure these provide less than Luck inspirations but Good Luck trying to get through missions eating those inspirations as they wear out, my guess is that you will go through your whole tray before the first mission is over. You should never rely on inspirations for anything other than to get you through a rough 30 secs
  13. Yes, people run all these toggles at the same time. What you are missing is what those build also have slotted in the Health and Stamina powers. Typically almost everyone runs Health with 3 slots and Stamina with 2 slots. Panacea, Miracle and Numina's procs in Health along with Performance Shifter proc with it's End Mod piece. Many of the toggles will also have endurance reduction IOs in them to help offset the cost. Another thing that will help you with your endurance is the Atlas Medallion accolade which is very easy to get starting at level 23. All you need to do is run the Moonfire TF (min level23) twice and you will get The Silver Bullet and The Slayer badges. From there you get the various History and Exploration Badges needed and complete a 5 minute mission accessible from Ouro flashback (I do it a -1/1 difficulty to get it over asap). This will give you a permanent +5% Max Endurance bonus which in addition to giving you extra end will make all your recovery% powers and procs stronger. Another accolade that will help with this is Portal Jockey but this is only obtainable at higher levels and requires a lot more work than Atlas Medallion but it will give another +5% end and +5%HP. Also, builds you look at are made for the end game and are full of IO sets and you will find set bonuses here and there that will give: Endurance Discount, +Recovery% and +Max End% which all contribute to a healthy blue bar. Some sets naturally eat more endurance than others, Titan Weapon for example is an extremely endurance heavy set so if you pair it with a secondary that doesn't offer any endurance you will find yourself drained no matter what you do. Sets like Willpower, Bio Armor, Radiation Armor and Regeneration all have passives that give you end regen and can take an other Performance Shifter proc in them. The power pool Body Mastery also has a power that can fit an other Performance Shifter proc in it. Sets like Fire Armor, Electric Armor and Energy Aura have a click power than will drain endurance from nearby enemies and refill your bar. Some offensive sets also have some endurance mitigation effects in them, Dark Melee has a click endurance drain and Staff Fighting has a stance that reduces endurance consumption.

  15. Thanks for the feedback, I made some changes to the set based on your recommendations. I was probably too gung-ho on getting perma haste on paper while not taking into account all the force feedback procs will get me there anyways. Looking at it all though I now see more clearly how it might not be the best pairing XD and at the price tag this build has gotten, I'm not too sure I want to invest 700mill into a pairing that might not work well. Bottom line here is that I want to make a /storm character, but I'm not very keen on it being Illusion like a lot of the builds I see around since I'm not chasing pylon damage numbers. Earth control was another one I was leaning towards, I'll see what it would look like taking in your tips for /Storm Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.7 https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! 16. Need some help to round out this build, haven't seen this combo posted too much here, I figure it might be pretty good none the less. Constant Knockdowns between Bonfire, Gale and Tornado and some pretty good damage too I think. Build is most certainly not optimized because I am no Controller expert, still trying to find my first one to bring to level 50 and beyond. Currently it has perma hasten, S/L def cap, energy resist at 39.3, the rest at 26.4% and some middling resists. Thanks for the advice ! 17. I see you didn't take Shatter, any specific reason why you would skip this Cone attack ? It's pretty good
  18. I am really enjoying my Invul/StJ character I am currently leveling, nothing beats round house kicking a spawn then kicking the boss in the nuts !
  19. Here is what I came up with. Build is a bit different, changed the power mastery for Mace. Has a bit less resists and the defences are mostly typed instead of positional. S/L/E are pretty much capped. Since you are a defender and will most likely be standing around in the back and Galeing the crap out of everything in sight, you should be OK on survivability. Got rid of Thunder Clap because I find it to be a miserable power and you really should be using Gale to knock stuff down, it becomes redundant. Added in the Web Cocoon hold for a third hold. Added a bunch of procs here and there to help with the damage. Hasten is perma with only 2 slots now ! Don't forget to Boost the Recharge IOs to +5 to achieve permahasten KB prot is now at Mag 8 Added in Assault Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.7 https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! 20. 3 small points that I can see here. First is from what I understand of Knockback mechanics the place to be is either mag 4 or mag 8. Judging by this resource here if you sort by mag and look what you are protected at mag 8 you will see there are a lot of bosses from many factions that have mag 8 KB https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Knockback/Enemies_with_Knockback_Powers You should really consider the T1 storm power Gale. It is an amazing power and seriously one of the most fun things to do with Storm. It only needs 2 slots in it to shine, nothing more. Just put in a Knockback to Knockdown and a Force Feedback + Recharge. You spam that sucker as soon as it's back and it's Mag10 knockdown will floor pretty much anything to keep them in your blizzard patche while at the same time giving you a sizable recharge boost on every power you have on cooldown. The name of the game with Storm is to drop as many Tornadoes and Lightning Storms as possible and Gale with these 2 IOs in it really helps you get there. And since your O2 Boost isn't even slotted you could probably just swap these 2 powers at level 1. Thirdly, I might suggest Mace Mastery as your Epic Power Pool choice. I know you said you went Power for the nostalgia and there is nothing wrong with that, doing things for the nostalgia is great ! But if you want something a bit stronger, Mace Mastery's toggle, Scorpion Shield gives you S/L/E Defence which you are not capped in, but it might not be too big of a point since you are pretty high in your positionals. Mace also offers an extra Hold which you can use to great effect with your holds from Ice, possibly allowing you to hold Elite Bosses by yourself. You could replace the Buildup from Power Mastery with the Aim you have in your Ice Blast set, Aim has a 90 sec CD, allowing you to have it up every fight while Power Build Up has 240 sec CD. Aim gives 50% dam/acc while Power Build Up gives 80%dam/10% Acc. I would personally prefer the Aim over the build up not only because it is much faster but since you are a defender the extra damage you get isn't going to be that noticeable while the extra Accuracy will.
  21. Hope you like the build ! The reason I went with Pyre over Soul other than Fireball hits the hardest was because figured out of the 1 slot wonder powers Melt Armor would do the most work, it has a decent radius and the debuffs it gives, while not super big will help out the whole team kill the enemies faster. Darkest Night is another massive end drain power on top of a set that is already end heavy, though it might still be OK to run it in bursts but it's definitely a nice power for the times when you are fighting stuff that falls into the places where the set is not def capped. As for Soul Tentacles, I don't think you are going to get much mileage out of it unless you modify the build pretty extensively to get it to be 6 slotted. I really don't think it's going to pull much weight as an extra attack if it's only 1 slotted. One way to do this, if you plan on only playing at level 50 would be to strip Shadow Punch and move it here. But if you play on exemplaring at all I would advise against this. I also thought it wasn't very concept to have a dark/dark guy shooting fireballs so I colored the Fireball and the Melt Armor animations black XD
  22. Here is what my DM tank looks like, granted it's a Dark Armor guy but I like to use Fireball in my rotation is get that extra AoE attack and I also don't use Shadow Punch at all. 23. I'd like to point out that the loss of AoE attacks is the real cost here. Some sets make out like bandits on this end like Staff Fighting only losing its ability to *not* be in offensive form or Street Justice which just trades a ST attack for AS, but most lose a very real AoE attack in exchange for Assassin's Strike. Broad Sword for example loses Whirling Sword pbaoe. Some sets get the shaft real bad like Martial Arts that has 0 AoE attacks in the primary 😧
  24. Once you have a good amount of recharge you can chain Titan Sweep, Whirling Smash and Arc of Destruction pretty much without downtime. I second your choice of Energy Mastery because TW is a massive end hog, Consume help a lot from FA but I'm pretty sure you can go through that end before Consume comes back
