  1. Figurative wings... like what RedBull gives you. I assure you, she does fly.
  2. My main from Live, and recreated faithfully here on HC, was a storm/electric defender named Windy Skye, originally inspired by the song Windy by The Association
  3. Halloween is here... and Hellsong was taken, so I went with The Damned Song Symphony/Radioactive Assault Everything below the neck is black on black Spectrum pieces. Powers are Red primary with a dark orange to give the effects a slightly more hellish look.
  4. I was feeling in a sinister mood with October descending upon us, and I learned the name Warpsong was available while in a strike force... long story short, strike force ended and I made a new Symphony/Kinetics controller for red side.
  5. There is a definite difference in sorting and filtering.
  6. Similar, but that's a whole lot less insect control and a lot more "I'm an insect too" with its bug-themed powers. I forgot about the spiderlings when I was thinking about buggy resources, but technically they're not insects anyhow.
  7. Insect Control for controllers and dominators. Character animations could draw on any number of existing powers, maybe even directly from the control powersets for the sake of having correction animation times... but instead of using the fire or ice or whatever other power effects on the target, have bugs swarm on and/or around them. We have at least 5 different bug-themed effects with the Devouring Earth underling Swarm critters, Call Swarm power, the Flies aura, the Fleas aura, and Roaches path aura. I'd use the roaches for the immobilize and AOE immobilize powers, Call Swarm for the hold and AOE hold powers, and flies for disorient or confuse effects. I'm not sure about the fleas because it's such a minimal effect that it might go unnoticed. That's like 5 or 6 powers covered with bug effects... summon pet could be 3 swarms like the DE underlings (scaled in power for the player's level, of course), so that puts us up to 7. I'm sure we could figure out two more powers to go with these. As for damage, I'd say go with a base of lethal with a minor toxic DOT on some and a To Hit debuff on others (because affected targets are distracted by the stinging, swarming bugs that it throws off their aim).
  8. What about an additional filter on the select screen? We have options for name, AT, and powerset now. Could we get some kind of filter for days remaining --either by putting in a specific number to search or just terms like "Safe," "Close," "Over," and "Lost"? Safe would be anything that is within the normal time permitted, obviously. Close could be set at like 10 or 15 days before your time has expired. Over is after your time has passed and your name is now up for grabs but hasn't yet been claimed by anyone else. Lost or Taken would be characters whose names were claimed by someone else after the allotted time passed and someone else took it.
  9. I hate hate hate that we have separate palettes for some powers... like ice powers getting that faded color palette? Why can't we have brilliant red colored ice? Why can't we have pitch black colored ice? The original devs had put some real limits on player creativity with their color palette ideas.
  10. The wrecked cars in the Galaxy City tutorial map. They're different than the wrecked cars we already have access to. Also police cars and police vans. And I think there's a damaged tank in RWZ... we have the military vehicles in general, but not the broken one. My scrapyard needs more broken stuff.
  11. I have a fire/fire sentinel and I do quite well with her. Just survive the low levels and lean into those healing flames when you get them.
  12. The things I'm asking for have not been done or have only been half-ass done. You're pointing out half-assed efforts doesn't account for anything.
  13. Reducing KB is a stupid idea. KB effects DO NOT need to be reduced on anything. There are enhancements to do that, but some people not only prefer but genuinely enjoy the KB.
  14. Except in the cases of temp power weapons which, I guess, canon completely ignores. It's dumb canon and should be de-canonized. If not de-canonized, then Peacebringers and Warshades should be excluded from all temp powers that have weapons attached to them.
  15. Energy melee looks different than Umbral Melee. Changing the color isn't quite the same thing. Fire attacks appropriate to whatever AT and fire set fine... There's no Light Blast to go with Fire Manipulation, though... no Light Melee to go with Fiery Aura... no Light Aura to combine with Fire Melee (or Fire Blast for sentinels). You're not convincing me by saying just accept substitutions. Traps and Devices aren't Arachnos Soldier Gadgets & Training. Widow Teamwork secondary is different from all the other powersets. Yes, you could also take the Leadership pool to build into that... but hey, Widows can take Leadership pool for double effect Leadership powers. You're saying an awful lot to make the point of accept imitations instead of asking for additional options. But I say no to your suggestions just like the devs will probably say no to this. Did we need Sentinels? Just build a traditional blapper. Or make a scrapper with some temp powers and ranged powers from the pools. But they went ahead and gave us sentinels anyhow. How about you take your negativity and apply it to how you enjoy playing the game and keep it away from my ideas?
  16. Let's open up the Kheldian and Arachnos powersets to the other ATs. I know, I know... "Just play one of those ATs if you want those powers; They're very flexible." Hear me out. What if I want to make a shield-bearing Warshade? Or a fire-using Peacebringer? Or an Arachnos Soldier that uses a beam rifle? How about a widow that fights with something other than claws? Or what if I want to play a non-kheldian with light attacks? Obviously I'm not suggesting the full powersets with the multiple choices available all be included, but the existing ones pared down to 9 tiers appropriate to the AT they get proliferated to. Multiple choice would still be an exclusive feature of the kheldians and VEATs. But we could have Light Melee, Light Blast, Light Armor, Umbral Blast, Umbral Melee, Umbral Aura, as well as support sets of Teamwork and Training & Gadgets for Defenders, Corruptors, Controllers, and Masterminds.
  17. I only ever contacted one person about a name, during the first few months after things expanded beyond Torchbearer with additional shards, and we traded shards rather than either of us giving up the name. When I want names that are currently unavailable, I post an open request here in the forum letting people know what I'm trying to acquire. I never hunt down and badger people. Three times people have contacted me in response to my open inquiries, and I am very pleased with the interaction. I have contacted a few people in game when I saw them with a misspelled name or featuring symbols to get what they wanted to offer up the correct spelling of the name. Two took me up on it, and the other preferred the weird spelling. I have always been in favor of the name release policy that Homecoming announced early on, and I'm genuinely surprised that they took as long as they did before they started to implement it. Of course, more preferable would be a system where character names were not unique and everyone could play as what they want. But, alas, I've been told that the code is too much spaghetti to untangle to tie everything to global names that way.
  18. I know. And, I just released another 31 names on Torchbearer. Worth a look... I cut some good ones loose. 😎
  19. More housecleaning = more names released. Prices slashed to absolute zero! Get 'em while supplies last. Ace Archer Alien Emissary Arc Archangel Big Bad Baby Eater Burnado Corpseblaster Cuddlebunny Double-Up Ethereal Girl Fable For Hire Firearms Joe Gemma Stone Honorless Illusion Girl Infinity Pain Justicehawk Long Cool Woman Math Meow Mynx National Guardsman Pragmatic Procure Public Enemy Soulslasher Squealer Stone Cold Killer Surgestorm Tough Break Virtue Girl Wintersoul Wonderland Warrior
  20. Definitely that Player2. I'll admit, I keep a lot. Anything I play into at least the high 20s or low 30s had my interest for fun, so I keep them. But yes, lower level concepts that I've created and never put more than a couple dozen levels on eventually find their way back to the public along with an announcement in shard-specific name release thread. For the record, I also have some names up for trade. These names are for characters that I would be renaming if I can get the ones I'm looking for. Recently someone contacted me about giving me one (for my beloved main, Big Girl) and asked for none in return, so when Big Girl got her name on Excelsior, I let everyone know that her alt name of Large Lass was available for whomever wanted it. Not a name hoarder, but I do use a lot of them. 🙂
  21. Speaking of embedding images... new hero is especially new: Teen Hero War Mace / Ninjitsu Scrapper
