  1. I play a hover blaster, so it makes the fight *interesting*. Maybe tweaking it more like Admiral Sutter Task Force would make a bit easier on some folks.
  2. Sigh. Thank you. I can never keep that straight.
  3. The problem is not that body armor only provides resists, but that it is only 8.75% vs 19+ for other pools. It is what you pay for a auto power. Given that, the game is not hardcore, so go with your concept. One way to increase your def. If you take tough and/or body armor there are two resistance enhancements set pieces that give +3 def each.
  4. A note about ageless, if you are using procs. It is my understanding that Ageless will hurt your proc rate, because it enhances your recharge enhancements and is not considered global recharge. Agility does not have this issue. Proc guide - not my work
  5. Taking Munitions Mastery mean losing access to the much better resist power and def powers in the other pools. Body Armor is not very good. You should post your build. Generally to get enough def, tough, weave, and maneuvers have to be taken. Plus creative slotting of immobilize, hold, and other non-low damaging powers can get you ranged def capped. If you need to stick with a tech theme, look at Force Mastery. There are some AR/Dev builds here to give you an idea.
  6. This is similar to what I have been tinkering with in Mids. I took all the pre-20 melee attacks, though taking telekinetic blast and Force Feedback slotting might not be a bad idea. The idea is to fire tornado for recharge, damage, and chaos. Close and PBAOE with wail. Then clean up what's left with melee. I think the confuse and dominate powers as emergency buttons. At least for now. I have to respec my Widow and play test a lot. All just theoretical for now. Does anyone have a old "Blood Widow" build? Aka melee Fort.
  7. Yes, I am considering making some changes, but I will do that after some more play testing. I am very durable right now. Damage is good and in several ITFs the s/l defense is coming in handy as it is hard to avoid melee attacks in caves. Hello ITF speed runs. Fire Mastery and Leviathan Mastery look like the best alternatives. I am still not sold on Bonfire due to recharge time, the lost of KD in M30 grenade, and lower range def. M30 recharges so fast that I have constant KD. Leviathan has an immobilizing cone that is straight swap for enveloping grenade. A damage cone. Plus a good resist shield. Also, if I swap two either of those pools I lose vengeance or assault. Vengeance is getting much more use than I expected. On speed run someone is going down every few minutes. That is a good suggestion about the LoTG in vengeance, but I already have 330% recharge with Force Feedback in snipe and M30.
  8. Found them all. Definitely, pilot error. I was not being carefully enough when finding the click spot.
  9. Thank you for pointing this out. I set the log file location, but nothing improved. Are there other settings I need to change?
  10. Also, the The Underground Trial is great because there a nice mix of mobs and it's actually difficult. Some planning is required. My first attempt with a pick league failed. I need to run that one again.
  11. Thank you. I should have thought of the Hollows. Reminds me, I need to do Frostfire. Is there a good section in IP or TI for the bosses? I have patrolled the NE corner of IP while waiting for TFs to finish recruiting. The family bosses are uncommon-rare in that area. At least, the badges are 100 each, not 300 like Ancestor Spirits. So, I can probably just grind them out over time.
  12. I need some help with this badge. I have found some of the items, but the loc coordinates are not working for me. https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Hero_History_Badges Obviously, user error. For instance, I cannot find the click-able, Midnight Squad Banner Midnighter Club x=141, z=0, y=200. I have searched the front and back sections of the club. Is there any variation in the clubs from city to city?
  13. This might be old news to folks here, but I thought I would share this find. I was trying to find a good spot for Tsoo Sorcerers. Someone suggested Talos Island. Using ViditMaps I found a great spot east of the tram. It is a road square raised above the surrounding area. Sorcerers spawn there constantly. I even found three in a group several times. Also, there are a consistently a few Ancestor Spirits for the Swift Steel badge. No enough to make a real dent, but some progress. I am open to suggestions for a spot to hunt Ancestor Spirits. You can just loop around that area. If you run into Warriors or Freakshow, then double back. Does someone have good spots outside of missions for Outcasts, Warriors, and Family bosses?
  14. Correction. I should have said ageless not agility negatively effects proc rates. Switching to barrier was already in the works because I already have plenty of end and recharge.
  15. On a lark today I joined a Admiral Sutter Task Force group. It was so much fun even with the chaos, because most of us did not know what we doing. Two of the AV fights were creative. Especially, the last one where you had to move because the AV was calling air strikes around himself. No dog piling the AV like most fights. The game needs more creative TFs like this one. I encourage folks to try it out.
  16. I looked at Fire Mastery. I would be trading a little ranged, energy, and neg energy. Plus, lose lot of s/l def for 48% s/l resists and %16 cold/fire resists. Also, I would lose vengeance, which now that I can lower the cool down close to the duration is useful. I would gain a hold power, Char, and a AOE debuff, Melt Armor which the build lacks. Though melt armor has a long cool down. Or force mastery which has good resists and has two excellent self only emergency power. Though I consider afterburner a very very lite PFF. It's all about the trade offs. This is where some else's experience would come in handy.
  17. I pulled your latest version into Mids. I liked you got your def and decent resists. It makes me think about my power pool choice, since you were able to def good ranged/energy/neg energy def. Plus, 40% s/l resists. I initially built around scorpion shield because I wanted that s/l/e def. Now, I wonder, as was suggested in my thread, that fire or force mastery should be an option. I need to check numbers. Tinker, always tinkering. The only weakness I see in your build is recharge. I put, Force Feedback: Chance of recharge, in M30 grenade. Those kinds of powers, as should buckshot, have a good proc rate. I am considering swapping out one snipe enhancement for another Force Feedback. I am play testing to see if I actually need it. Question about buckshot and grenade. I felt had to pick between buckshot and M30 because I can only global slot one KB->KD enhancement. *I feel bad KBing mobs in groups. I figured on average that M30 would hit more targets, cone vs AOE, than buckshot. So, I felt I would never use buckshot enough. What has been your experience? Also, I have more powers than I can use in most combat. I am still trying to work in web envelope, but it is turning out very situational. Toxic web grenade recharges so fast that my original thinking about WE->TWG for pinning AVs is not working in practice. I can just spam TWG. * Unless I group with a Commando Master Mind, then I blame all the KB on them
  18. Here is my final build at least for the near future. 😉 Changes: Sacrificed a lot of s/l def to get 50% ranged def. Side bonus, 55.9 energy def. Dropped trip mine and summon spiderlings. I do not use trip mine. Not enough slots to make the pet worthwhile given the recharge. Added assault and vengeance. Now, I have 48% to damage, before vengeance and incarnates. Slotting vengeance with, Doctored Wounds: Recharge, and recharge rate, can get the power back up in 80 seconds. Learned that Agility recharge bonus negatively effects proc rate. Switching to barrier. Toxic web grenade is now a interesting power. You can slot it with ranged damage, Thunderstruck nets you +3.75 ranged and 159 damage in my build on a power with a 1 second recharge. Dropped Ignite after a lot of play testing. Fear effect is too high, my single target rotation for AVs does much more damage. Snipe or Quick Snipe->Slug->Burst->(Maybe toxic web grenade WIP) Dropped Ragnarok proc to keep the build no-purples. Caltrops is now proc'ed out Recharge is good enough, might not put the Force feedback in snipe. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1477;670;1340;HEX;| |78DA7D94C94F535114C6EF7B7D1568E9C454909932D4561E54DD1B47A281A401F7E| |4A57D969734A5694B022BE7B8D7441404D4850B35AEFD2F1C978E2B57080E2B35A9| |07BEAF85A4892F6D7FEF7EF77CF7DC73874E2D9E6E7C3E71E5B8D27CA7B256B1387| |B527E4B76C13D65659C9492C77FC14A959C9495ED4B3A8B8E5D2752178366A7AD5C| |C64E9B278A456B215B9A9D762E66ED70A57366219F9F2F94CC092B9DB14BC5D0B9D| |C9C5DB07325B3F2E24DCECF67CDB359273357F2ECBECFE46D3BED83BCA33AB94C60| |B735695B69BB509C73F21D67F24ECAACE498B252B6FCECBC2FB5CBCC86F8C55376A| |B3541C250C63AD8B601461E80630FC947E0A5FF783DF4FAE9F5D39BA07758A0D1AB| |D1ABD3ABD35B4F6F3DBD1E7A2F0B5CF4BA5E40EBFBE402BF82FD8F65F46E43C53EA| |03DF61E8C4AB85B83D7FD05DA811B3AF811EDE0677249F46643B5338757B6B30E79| |555D04DA554103C6D31AD6103FBA0AC644F5729EDE97886F7C45BE06DBDF8007DF9| |2EFC00649E4C3B8CAD7AAED6AD7A415C0787AE019733D259F8071E90D3167680575| |34AD92F7C1AE35729D6BB6015E17573372EACDCB5893965BE46D7040E6D5CA7A5BE| |33C27A42E7D61AE4FB82C8F526D4A7550E9F88B2A4212D5C92C9DACACE73C66D0D3| |82B64B62BA99A53B8C9DEC39829851517B5961AF32B0DB1AA983832ED220DDA021E| |30E30F7007347983312046F566F45D93DB485AA87B7C9EFE40F70E427F90BFC1354| |2ACAD315F560BC435EB291F481313F19007F8B37CEBCF13BD00E2F9377C97B60628| |55C059BA42E93EB6CF663375A441BA7369E445C9751BDB1F2D9D9A17EA37211CBE5| |584DEF788D92A8518ED628C76A94C9BD2C725DB05649A3FA0FA0B4419EFA60F5669| |7373DD24F8FC6DBB6B55FDBC479F8B65F8B226E7B4FD3349EE4119EE47F298EE7D9| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
  19. I will look at this in more detail this evening. I will be updating my build thread soon. Initial comments: I think all snipes have an accuracy bonus, plus you have targeting drone. I do not think KB-KD level matters, but I am not sure. Incarnate Agility recharge bonus hurts proc rates. I did not know this until yesterday, so I am switching to Barrier There is a guide for Hybrid Assault double hit guide in the Guide forum. I went with double hit which seems to work better with AOEs. Next comments are extremely opinion based: You have an impressive amount of s/l resist, but your range def is too low. Blaster HPs are not high enough to take too many hits. I am aiming for 45%+ range. You should update your mids, new toxic web grenade can take ranged damage, which will give you more ranged def. It now does 140 toxic damage over 5 ticks with the Thunderstike set at 50. Plus it has a quick cool down. I have changed my mind on Ignite, not worth it, the fear factor is too high. On AVs I can rotate through my single target chain and do a lot more damage. Quick Snipe->Slug->Burst. I am testing out toxic grenade and part of the rotation because it's cool down is so quick. Caltrops can be turned into a proc monster. Very opinion based: Note, I hover fight. Never on the ground. Gun drone is worth getting for the enhancement set bonus, Expedient Reinforcement. I find it a decent source of damage and a pest which draws mob attention. I still think trip mine and especially time bomb are not worth owning. You have to move in close, plant the device, which means you are both in melee range and whatever AOEs are being throw at the melee. In that time, I could fire one or more AOEs off and be safely at range. Solo might be a different story. Qualification, if you are a blapper */devices build, then god speed. Assault Rifle/Devices is a range build to me.
  20. This is caused the failure of at least two Posi 1 TFs that I have joined. Now, I always check and request that someone over level 15 is the leader. Really I want 20+. It does seem to be inconsistent, some TFs have this issue, some do not.
  21. Yes, I depend on this being a global recharge which is why I have it slotted in M30 Grenade. And eventually my AR snipe. With luck and my other recharge, I can get Full Auto back up in under 15 second.
  22. My suggestion would be Assault Rifle/Devices. You get three single target and three AOE attacks. The snipe, according to Mids, one of the strongest in the game. Three damage types lethal/smashing/fire. Stealth, def, hp, and endurance recovery in one power. Another power with a first hit damage bonus, +tohit, and perception buff with resistance. If you have been blinded by Archanos you will understand why this is useful. Lite crowd control with caltrops, web grenade, beanbag, and taser. And a pet. Downsides, several attacks have KB, using the KB->KD IO is mandatory. Lack of any serious debuffing.
  23. I find gun drone a useful pest. Helps finish off and distracts mobs. Also, it can take, the Recharge Intensive Pets set, which nets you 3.15% range def and a pet resist aura which toughen ups the drone. Recharge Intensive Pets: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Enhancement_Sets#Recharge_Intensive_Pets
  24. Thank you for the feedback. What other fire mastery powers would you take, if any? Bonfire appears to have a lower damage and slower recharge. Also, switching to Bonfire would mean losing M30 as a effective power. M30's KB would be very bad for melee, but having said that I have not played with Bonfire. But there are subtleties in how Bonfire works that I have no exp. My lead off is usually FA->M30->FT. This allows M30 to start recharging FA. I have not re-spec into the web envelope, but I suspect it will become. FA->M30->FT->WE. Really, this is what I love about AR. My attack chain is dynamic depending on the spacing and type of mobs. Keeps me interested. On the Synapse TF yesterday, no FA or Ignite, so my chain was M30->FT->Caltrops. I have a AOE target macro for caltrops, to make it easier to use. About trip mines, I hover all the time, trip mine requires me to drop almost to the ground close to the mobs. Ignite works at range. If you play more on the ground, then trap mines makes sense. The combo of trip mines, caltrops, and ignite rock on BAF. Caltrop the prison door, put a burn patch on top of the caltrops, then mines just past the caltrops. Slow/Damage->Fire Damage->Boom! As for def debuff, I think some versions of Ageless provide debuff resistance. Not sure what all categories are covered. I will check that today. Side note, I noticed yesterday that my live build has 40% energy def. A nice surprise, considering I was building for that.
  25. Here I am just happy to have gotten over 200 badges and Portal Jockey. One day, one day...
