  1. This is very close to what I am running alive. I have too much defense, maybe... I might drop scorp shield to get resists in the future.
  2. TWG is a decent damage power now, the immobilize is just a plus with a sub 2 sec recharge for me. I use it to pin AVs in the ITF because they love to run. Everything I have read is that trip mine is a good source recharge and procs. It does not fit my playstyle, so I do not have it. I put my force feedback: recharge in M30, because it recharges very quickly and still procs very well. You will have to slot KB->KD. Also, I put recharge in my snipe, because I switch between my AOE chain FA->FT->M30 and Snipe->Slug->Burst or TWG. I want recharge procs in both chains. I want to love ignite, but the fear factor is too high. Even tanker taunting cannot keep mobs in it. If you fight at range with soft capped range def. I do not think Rune of Protection is required. I rarely get mezzed for any dangerous length of time. You probably already have decent mezz resistance. Also, two slotting hover, fly, and afterburner will give you 4.5% ranged with Blessing of the Zephyr if you need the extra def.
  3. Just throwing this out there, Liquefy, in the Sonic Resonance set can take 6 procs. I think there are least 8 different types of procs available for the power. I know that Sonic Resonance is a problematic set, but that is quite a proc monster of a power. Tinkering with a sonic/dark defender.
  4. If you can give up one slot from a power you, defense probably, could slot Force Feedback: Recharge into Telekinetic Blast or Tornado. Or both for the cost of two slots. That should give a pretty reliable proc for 100% recharge over 5 secs.

  7. There are a couple of threads running around for AR/Dev builds. Here's mine: AR/Dev - 48.3 S/L Def - 37.4 Ranged def - No purples I think IMHO You need at least soft capped 45% s/l or ranged. I am OCD about def, meaning I probably have too much, but you need to soft cap one or the other. There are good suggestions in the thread above. There are two resist enhancement pieces that provide 3% def all each. A number of sets do provide s/l or ranged def, but there are not the purple sets usually Take M30 Grenade over Buckshot. M30 will on average hit more targets and you can also slot it with both KB->KD and FF recharge. Your recharge is too low. I FF recharge slot both M30 and Snipe, with a little luck I can have Full Auto back up in 15-18 seconds. Also, I can spam toxic grenade to help pin AVs in a group.

  15. In the Defender's proc monster thread. Hjarki make this comment. Since, then I have found the joys of an Assault Rifle/Devices blaster. So, I wanted to see what kind of offender monster I could create. The build probably has a dozen things wrong with it, since it only exists in Mids. Suggestions are welcome. Highlights: Perma Hasten, Farsight, and Chrono Shift Two sources of force feedback recharge, M30 and Snipe. I have found Snipe, due to quick snipe, to be a good source of recharge on my blaster. 352% recharge w/o LoTG or incarnates Minimal def in any category is 48.2% 75% s/l resists 24.5% toxic/psi resists 100% sleep, immobile resists 57.5% hold, stun, confuse, and fear
  16. So, I ended up running this TF three times today. Yes, I have no life, but in my defense it's a quick TF. Once, I got use to listening and watching for the AOE it was fine. Certainly makes it more exciting than the usual dog pile the AV TF. So, I retract my comment. I do not think this TF should be changed at all. In my experience the squishies, like myself, die more often than the melee. Side note, confuse might be interesting because it might turn the non-AV mobs into AOE targets.
  17. I understand that Sentinels cannot be like tankers, brutes, scrappers, and War Shades. But I have seen hover Sentinels tank ITF speed runs very effectively on all ranged speed runs. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to look at the player's power set. Thank you for the links.
  18. What do folks here consider the best ranged tank build? For instance, a dark melee/invul tanker can tougher than a normal invul tanker because it has a healing attack and PBAOE debuff. What combos would work best for a ranged tank? I know Sentinels do not have taunt.
  19. I play a hover blaster, so it makes the fight *interesting*. Maybe tweaking it more like Admiral Sutter Task Force would make a bit easier on some folks.

  21. The problem is not that body armor only provides resists, but that it is only 8.75% vs 19+ for other pools. It is what you pay for a auto power. Given that, the game is not hardcore, so go with your concept. One way to increase your def. If you take tough and/or body armor there are two resistance enhancements set pieces that give +3 def each.
  22. A note about ageless, if you are using procs. It is my understanding that Ageless will hurt your proc rate, because it enhances your recharge enhancements and is not considered global recharge. Agility does not have this issue. Proc guide - not my work
  23. Taking Munitions Mastery mean losing access to the much better resist power and def powers in the other pools. Body Armor is not very good. You should post your build. Generally to get enough def, tough, weave, and maneuvers have to be taken. Plus creative slotting of immobilize, hold, and other non-low damaging powers can get you ranged def capped. If you need to stick with a tech theme, look at Force Mastery. There are some AR/Dev builds here to give you an idea.
  24. This is similar to what I have been tinkering with in Mids. I took all the pre-20 melee attacks, though taking telekinetic blast and Force Feedback slotting might not be a bad idea. The idea is to fire tornado for recharge, damage, and chaos. Close and PBAOE with wail. Then clean up what's left with melee. I think the confuse and dominate powers as emergency buttons. At least for now. I have to respec my Widow and play test a lot. All just theoretical for now. Does anyone have a old "Blood Widow" build? Aka melee Fort.
