Frankly, I'd love to be able to limit what glows on some pieces.  For instance, I'd like to see a version of the Imperial Defense gloves where the actual glove part is black, and the secondary color only applies to the glowing part.  Similarly, the Ascension belt could benefit from a similar treatment, where the "ribs" were just black and only the center jewel took the secondary color & glow effect...

Seconded. I’d also like for there to be some options where the glow is turned off, such as the tail and back of neck bits.

Additionally, I *really* love the glowing eyes in the Organic Armor, Medusa, and Bio-Organic faces, preferring them over the auras, but all of those faces come with other glowing parts I try to hide (Organic Armor neck) or are just extreme and niche designs. If we had glowing eye options on just normal faces, I’d be putting those on half my characters. (Which at 150+ is saying something. But that’s how much I like them.)

I don’t know if that’s a difficult task but yeah, if I could have just one thing added, it would be the inherent glowing eyes.

There actually is one - Supernatural face 13, (it even has its own face pattern to color just the eyes).  The problem is that the glow is rather dim, and it has a weird bleed effect applied.  The eyes are also rather wide.  I believe it is one of the older face designs, so it's not quite a true glow effect.  The organic armor face, with the neck and side "veins" and glow removed, would be a much better option...

Banished Pantheon pieces already in the game or from existing asset files to be recreated, or broken up whatever you all did with the Goldbrickers, thanks!

Due to file size constraints here is another post to request Native American Costume Pieces. A matching Quiver, not pictured and/or bow and arrows would also be much appreciated and used.

Male and Female by the way for all these options in the post because they would want to use it, if possible please.

For all body types. As all of these, except where suggested differently. But a Chest Detail would be awesome (Breastplate) for all 3.

for Male and Huge Mainly. Could make a Female Body type one too. tucked in pants to go with the higher boots from the previous last post.

Or these long pants with the moccasins.

For Buckskin Dress options...

option 1

These are suggested for lady/female body type. With the boots from the previous last post.

An example of a lady war bonnet just in case it would be helpful. The Red and Brown or Red and Yellow would be customizable on the 2 palette options.

One more bonus suggestion not related to the previous that I've always wanted to see in COX...:)

QMXPB101__ml.thumb.jpg.56e45c3dce1bfe62f95420830d0a632f.jpg

The shirt and perhaps the mask, and definitely the rapier/sword option. The boots too if they aren't too similar to what's already available. The Scabbard definitely. Like others previously mentioned we need places for our Swords to be even if they are static and already have a sword or gun or arrows in them on the back or waist really adds to the character appearance. Thanks again for adding the Official belt 2 new options (double holsters and the one without the nightstick! As well as the other additions they are awesome!)

Thanks! These are the biggest wants that I've wanted for characters so far, for now.

File size limits is why these posts are broken up into 3 parts. Thanks!

Hard NO on the headdress. That’s a religious thing, akin to asking for the Pope’s mitre or Sikh dastar. Let’s not disrespect people for a game.

Respectfully agree to disagree with you.  That's your personal opinion. I do not withdraw my request. Hard no on this and no response to any of the other requests that I've made. If you will look or respond to ALL of my posts, the Banished Pantheon (Hequat) already in the game has a similar War Bonnet already and it has been there since live.  Also, did you have the same reaction or outrage to the Day Of The Dead request on page 1 of this thread? No. I did not either--there is nothing wrong with that request either. That could be considered religious as well respecting one's ancestors. If you are going to make a comment or deny someone's request be thorough and tirelessly excited for everyone's request like I tend to be on base building and on costume making. People's requests for costume parts for their characters are made from a place of respect, admiration and joy. So do not have a bad reaction now to this one request; to this request (the war bonnet), or try to intercept it or have it denied. Thank you.

I’m not going to get into a whole big thing with you on this, but you’re wrong. My cousins are Mexican (as in emigrated from Mexico), and sugar skulls do not carry the same religious, political or cultural freight as a war bonnet. Sugar skulls — inspired by Roman Catholic priests and missionaries living in Mexico in the late 1700s who brought the Easter sugar art tradition from Italy — are not dissimilar to Christmas wreaths. The war bonnet is a whole other level.

You say you will not get into an argument then proceed to argue. I am not incorrect. There is improper bias here, towards the previous request that I made. Consistently I am politely asking for these, and these requests are being made in an open topic for costume piece requests. There is a Pilgrim hat in the game. They were a religious group. There is nothing wrong in your mind perhaps with them being there. Due to your misplaced points and not thoroughly seeing the room for a historical request being made for the War Bonnet, you keep attempting to deny my request as if you alone make the costume piece decisions on Homecoming. I allow for the Pilgrim Hats to exist in the game with no issue when there very much could be. I also correctly pointed out the historical context for Day of the Dead being requested with no issue from me when there could be if I wanted to make it a problem.  It is not a problem, as my request is really not a problem. It is your personal opinion or problem with my request that is incorrect in this thread. There are also gunslinger and Cowboy hats in the game and the ability to make Western US Army soldiers as well. There are gunslinger hats (and cowboy hats, samurai helmets, conical Asian hat and other historically based warrior) costumes which are historical. My request is of a historical warrior made correctly with utmost reverence and respect.

Someone else before my request, also requested Native American costume pieces (Aztec and Mayan I believe) with 'text' in this thread and no pictures and you did not respond to them saying "no," nor should you have. I gave them support for their request. I gave most of the requests here my support. I would like to see more costume pieces made. People should be able to make their request without being harassed, or lambasted incorrectly, for it. You also referred incorrectly when responding to me earlier to it being as a "headdress" and not War Bonnet, not until it was apparent that I wouldn't withdraw my request--you finally referred to it with its proper name and respect (for having been so outraged about it).  Thank you for that.  I am not trying to attack you or any other culture or group as you have incorrectly posted twice in an open costume request thread. I am content to see that you are finally allowing the possibility that the Devs are adding costume pieces that the COX players want. I would like a War Bonnet added, I should be allowed to make that request openly without it being an issue or policed selectively and incorrectly by another player. This respectful request that I am making, should not have been a point of contention at all. It is selective outrage that has no real standing or merit given the other costume pieces and mobs, in the game, that all enjoy with no issue.  The flower head crown requests for male, female and huge bodies are beautiful and were made earlier and could be also put into this category that you are arbitrarily and personally lumping the War Bonnet request that I made into. If you consistently attack one open request which you continue to do, then you need to be consistent with outrage with everything already in the game or that is being requested to be added.

You (Trike) posted previously:

"I’m a little confused by this thread. I figured it would be a “wouldn’t it be cool if” sort of thing, but most of these posts read like genuine requests for new art and animations.

Is that a thing? I was under the impression Homecoming was run by dedicated fans of CoX who know how to keep the extant game running but there aren’t any “developers” like an active MMO has. No artists, no animators, no writers, just folks who know how to repurpose existing content in new forms, akin to using the AE in godmode for the entire game. Such as that new zone that was added, comprised of existing art in a new configuration, or figuring out how to decouple shoulder options for asymmetrical designs, but not adding new art assets to the game.

If I’m incorrect, that’s cool, and I love to know if that’s the case. (Because I have ideas, believe me.) But I’d think the best we might hope for under the circumstances is if they somehow figure out a way to port existing NPCs over to the character creator, so we could play as Carnies or Devouring Earth, or perhaps have Jaegers as pets.

This energy might be best directed toward the crew making Ship of Heroes, so they can add these ideas to that. (I mean, I still don’t understand why it’s a spaceship and why there are cars on a spaceship, but at least it’s an updated version of a superhero game that needs support in order to become viable.)

But if we have the ability to add new art and animation to the game, please let me know, because that would be amaaazing."

After saying that, I'm glad to see you kept participating in the thread, but please keep it to its purpose for 'open costume piece requests', and allow them to be made openly without trying to deny their possibility of being added. This request that I have humbly and respectfully made, never should have really have been an issue. Since you are making it an issue, just be consistent all over, which is too tedious and tiresome so you are not doing it, or drop it please. I responded to you, but I will no longer as I have made my valid points which should be allowed to be made. I have made my points which you have attempted to bait me into a fight, without knowing my personal story or background which I will not qualify. You--when you were not informed correctly--attempted to incorrectly police and to stop the thread with the quoted most recent comment. It was good to see that you relented when you somehow found out that the Devs are doing amazing great work on the game with fresh additions. The Devs have graciously begun to add more pieces for us with Issue 27 page 3 coming soon which we are grateful for. Thank you very much Devs, beautiful updates and work. They also listened to our Base Piece addition requests, some of the requests which I helped to make (very few) and the Devs are adding those too.  You said that you have ideas for costume pieces, others have great ideas too. Allow the requests to be openly made please. Someone else tried to correct me on my Base piece Request post as well, and similarly they jumped on one thing and ignored the other valid requests that I made. When I brought it to their attention they at least finally mentioned the other requests that I made were valid and good. Common courtesy. This continues to be a problem on various request threads. Someone will try to police it when they are not in charge, not the original poster or they refuse be thorough enough to do so or have selective outrage with one person's one request and dismiss their other requests entirely.  I only responded to your misplaced responses in a positive humble spirit of being adamant for my simple request.

Original poster thank you for this thread, and please excuse this mess that the detractor of my request has caused. Mods I ask that if my request is removed, then his improper comments and his selective bias and responses toward my requests are also removed as well. I will only make open costume piece requests, going forward as this thread intends. Thank you.

What would be the main obstacles to having Snake tail as a lower body option?

We already have several of the upper body options from Talons of Vengeance, so it isn't a matter of chopping up an all-in-one frame.

I'm guessing there might be movement issues as the Snakes and Talons tend to slither instead of walk? And I imagine a lot of the current kicking animations might look strange.

What about some historical costumes, say from the Regency Period, Elizabethan or the Restoration Period (Cavaliers and the like.)

I'd like another colour or two for costumes, it's something that was added in Champions Online, can't see why we don't have it too.

They're 2 fundamentally different implementations.  For instance, you can select the material type and level of glow (if any) for most pieces.  There are also more attachment points overall in CO.  What we need to consider are ways to work within the system we have and to get the most out of it.  For instance, if you look at the classic steampunk glove below, you'll notice that there are 2 sets of buckles/plates on the forearm.  Their colors differ from the primary or secondary you choose, but you cannot change them - those colors are "baked in" to the costume piece.  Similarly, if you look at the ascension glove image, you'll notice that the actual hand & fingers are black, with the armor piece taking the primary color and the glow taking the secondary.  Even if you choose the version without the glow effect, you're still stuck with the black hand.  In short, there are ways to cheat-in more colors, but they'd have to be done manually ahead of time, (which is probably why there aren't too many such pieces, and the ones we do get tend to use blacks, greys, etc).

Not a new costume piece request, per se, but I'd like to be able to apply patterns on top of the Spectrum costume piece that makes your whole body glow. Being able to apply the face mask patters as an overlay would be a dream come true.

I wonder how necessary the secondary color is for the spectrum pieces, as it does impact the resulting color.  Maybe create an alternate set that only uses 1 color, so the second one can be used for said patterns...

You know, you've just reminded me of the biggest obstacle to my original request: I have a character concept that is dependent on having the secondary colour on the Spectrum costume piece available, which makes applying an pattern overlay on top a little more challenging when thinking about its practical application.

might be difficult, but some feminine pieces for the Huge body type?... just the patterns mostly.

She-Wolf transforms into a beast of a werewolf but i try to keep her costume in her smaller form and larger form similar other than the larger version being tattered. it's limiting trying to make a smaller female costume and a huge body costume match though without being a little too simple haha.

I'd like to see three things:

1. The key in the back of the clockwork wings should turn when the wings are flapping.

2. I would like a hat, or option for the head, of a propeller beanie.

3. A cape that looks like a towel tied around the neck with a knot in the front (like a 5 year old might do)

It'd also be great if it didn't do that weird color blending effect and instead displayed the actual colors you picked...

I'd also like to see some of the pieces that have extra accessories offered in simpler versions, like how there's a steampunk hat with goggles, but no version without them.

I wonder how difficult it would be to allow wings or jetpacks to animate fully when jumping as well...

Varied bug mouth parts like these.

And also bug abdomens or backside, whatever their called, although that may be a bit too difficult for research because like mouthparts, different bugs have different-looking backsides.
