Wavicle Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 It would be REALLY nice if we could have an option to disable Auto-Run from automatically kicking in when holding both mouse buttons. It's very useful to be able to move using the mouse buttons, but not if doing so sets us to auto-run. 1 Wavicle's Guide To What Really Matters: What Needs To Be Done On Every Toon
Saiyajinzoningen Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 this has been happening to me only recently as well, in fact I reported it as a bug. Its easy to criticize a suggestion but can you suggest an alternative?
Vanden Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 You can already do this. "/bind mousechord +forward" will change it so holding both mouse buttons down won't turn on autorun. 3 1 2 A Cheat Sheet for efficient Endurance Recovery slotting Invention Set Designer Tool Spreadsheet with every Ancillary Power Pool
Sovera Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 As Vanden said, and then remember to save your keybinds so all other new characters you may make automatically have that. 1 - Simple guide for newcomers. - Money making included among other things. - Tanker Fire Armor: the Turtle, the Allrounder, the Dragon, and compilation of Fire Armor builds. - Tanker Stone Armor: beginner friendly (near) immortal Tanker for leveling/end-game and Stone Armor framework. - Brute Rad/Stone and compilation of Brute Stone Armor builds.

I do it on all new toons, it disables the auto run on both mouse buttons.

Log into any character, type "/bind MOUSECHORD +forward", then "/bind_save", that makes the change and saves it back to the default bind file, so it's there on any other character you make. 1
biostem Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 Couldn't you also do /bind mousechord "NOP" to have to do nothing?

You can, but the OP wanted to keep the movement behavior, and only remove the toggling of auto-run from the bind. For reference, unless I'm remembering wrong, you'd use . . . /bind MOUSECHORD ++forward . . . with two +'s, to re-enable the autorun behavior in case you change your mind. 1

Good question, but even if it does not auto-apply to existing characters, since it would be set as your new default, then just clicking load default should load it. I think.

Sure, but just saying you can do it directly from the options menu also.

Saiyajinzoningen Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 i usually just play through it when it happens. doesn't happen often and its a minor inconvenience at best Its easy to criticize a suggestion but can you suggest an alternative?
Communistpenguin Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 I always remap my autorun to my middle mouse button personally.
