dtjunkie Posted Wednesday at 03:19 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:19 AM This could end up being my favorite task force in the game. That last mission is a Tour De Force. So much fun. So many thing similar to games of my childhood so there's so much nostalgia. The setting is just amazing. And. And. You guys finally made knockback useful. Wow. Unbelievable. Can't wait to up the star and try it again. I'm on a Horse. No notes. 4 1
PLVRIZR Posted Wednesday at 03:01 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:01 PM We ran that last night on Indom's monthly Tanker Tuesday Tour. All tank team took 1:44 and we had to organically figure out the KB, at the end (after a few of us jumped/fell off the train to realize the instant death part). Also, glad to see a new classification of "Super Archvillain". Agree with @dtjunkie, a great addition to the game. 50s: Reunion - JAWBRKR (Inv/SJ Tank), Lich-ilicious (Necro/Dark MM) Torchbearer - Will Power-Flame (WP/Fire Tank) - VL100+, Frostee-Freeze (Ice/Emp Troller), DARKNESSREIGNS (Inv/DM Tank), BALLBUSTR (Inv/SS Tank) Indomitable - PLVRIZR (Stone/SS Tank), OBSDNBLDR (Dark/Stone tank), The Atomic Warden (Rad/Rad Defender), FACESMSHR (EM/EA Brute) Excelsior - NUTCRCKR (Inv/SS Tank) - VL575+, DRKSTNITE (DA/DM Tank), Nosfera-too (Kin/Dark Defender), FIREBLLR (FIre/Therm Corr), THUGSRUS (Thugs/Dark MM), Marshal Mayhem (Fire/MA Tank), SLICRDICR (DB/WP Scrap), NECROTANK (SD/DM Tank), FRMRBRWN (Spines/Fire Brute) - VL100+, AVLANCH (Ice/Stone Tank), SWMPTHNG (Bio/Rad Tank), FREEZRBRN (Fire/Ice Tank), ZZAAPP (Elec/Elec Brute), Voltaic Thunderbolt (Elec/Elec Tank) Lemme Axe You Somethin' (Rad/Axe Tank), PWDRKEG (Fire/FIre/Pyre Tank), ATMSMSHR (Rad/SS Tank), Morphology of Flame (Bio/Fire Tank) OBSDNBLDR (Dark/Stone Tank) Concrete Leviathan (Stone/Titan Weapon Tank) Everlasting - MISSADVENTUR (Inv/SS Tank), Mace to the Face (SD/WM Tank): Retail 2004 (pre-I1) - 2012 lights out; Feb. 2020 - present
Jiro Ito Posted Wednesday at 03:05 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:05 PM Agreed, I got to run it twice last night on 1-star setting and it is fantastic. I need to dust off my stormies and force fielder. Crunch! Play my AE Adventures, listed under @Jiro Ito, including award winners: "The Headless Huntsman of Salamanca" #43870 **Scrapbot AE Contest Winner May 2022** "On the Claw-Tipped Wings of Betrayal" #43524 **November 2021 Dev's Choice** "The Defenders of Talos" #44578 **Mission Architect Competition Winner for October 2021: REBIRTH**
dtjunkie Posted Thursday at 05:11 AM Author Posted Thursday at 05:11 AM Last night my kid and I duo'ed it at +1 with my scrapper and his brute. Tonight I gave it a solo run at 0 with my Elec/Elec Sentinel. Very doable and super fun solo. Hardest part was when the supervillain version of Nemesis took out my Lore Pet and I had to wait 13 minutes for it to come back up to have enough DPS. Otherwise all the AV fights were pretty smooth. Next up will probably try a one star duo with the kid's brute and ... TBD
Maagic Posted Thursday at 10:32 AM Posted Thursday at 10:32 AM Does anyone have a YouTube vid or twitch VOD of this new TF? Been itching to check it out.
FFFF Posted Friday at 04:57 PM Posted Friday at 04:57 PM The train mechanic was unexpected (but fun). I admit to being crunched when I missed a jump chasing a pesky Nemesis minion in the throes of scrapper-lock. I liked that it wasn’t overly long, and not dependent (at least on standard difficulties) on particular AT combinations. I’m eager to bring hurricane and force bubble on the Nemesis train. 1
Hedgefund Posted Saturday at 04:20 PM Posted Saturday at 04:20 PM I did my first Zoe last night, 1* with my crew. Hella fun. It may be recency bias but right now I do rank this as my favorite SF/TF. The last mission was fantastic, all the props go to the dev(s) that made the movement animation. 👍from me.
Glacier Peak Posted Saturday at 09:24 PM Posted Saturday at 09:24 PM First time playing the ZTF, tried it at 1-star. Had a blast, very well paced. The finale was really impressive and we managed to get Master of, mainly because the team leader had already ran it all before. I lead weekly Indom Badge Runs / A newer giant monster guide by Glacier Peak / A tour of Pocket D easter eggs! / Arena All-Star Accolade Guide! Best Post Ever....
Maagic Posted Saturday at 10:12 PM Posted Saturday at 10:12 PM Ran it last night and watched a streamer do it again this morning. Both times when fighting the Nemesis that shoot the beams that keep the forcefield up, the Nemesis was knocked off the side but got stuck beside/under the train. The beam was still going but we couldn't target him. I think someone finally managed to hit him with AoEs

Sadly, Force Bubble no longer exists.
8 Ball Posted yesterday at 05:00 AM Posted yesterday at 05:00 AM (edited) Just finished my first run of it and it was a blast (just 54x8, no one star) that last mission was a fantastic design....feels like a throwback to the 16-bit beat-em-up days. Edited yesterday at 05:03 AM by 8 Ball
BurtHutt Posted yesterday at 08:03 AM Posted yesterday at 08:03 AM Did my maiden voyage earlier today with some pals. My initial feeling was relief. It's not nearly as bad as the other recent content. However, it's not great but it's getting better. -The pointless long runs between a couple of doors is super annoying. -There is still way too much dialogue. The caption boxes are nice but they appear on screen and cover your toon right in the middle of the screen? This seems like a mistake/error. -The missions do kinda drag on -Instant death falling off a train? Uh....I've endured much worse and it wasn't instant death. Le sigh... -I didn't realize I was on a 'train' until one of the team mentioned it. Anyway, a much better effort here. It is actually, maybe, the first HC content that I will play more than once. I've played Aeon a couple times but I did so very reluctantly. It'd also be great to see some new, actual superheroes and supervillains added to game. These enemies are now decades old and it feels tired. The Blackwing stuff just feels same old too. Maybe some sandbox, one-off, special missions. HC Devs, I appreciate your efforts and thank you for your time. I know it's a thankless job and it seems like I bitch but I do so to hopefully provide helpful feedback. 1

Maagic Posted yesterday at 09:39 AM Posted yesterday at 09:39 AM I wanna bring my storm/grav controller along on it next time 🙂 Or my Eng/Eng blaster. Gotta level him up some more though. Now if I can just figure out how to make knockback stronger LOL
Snarky Posted yesterday at 11:49 AM Posted yesterday at 11:49 AM relatively fast, intricate, yet able to be bumbled through effectively. it is damn good writing for me, it is a big yes 1
Drakwatch Posted yesterday at 05:24 PM Posted yesterday at 05:24 PM I played Zoe TF for the first time the other night and it was fantastic, loved the new Nemesis enemies. It was also a well paced TF, and I didn't really get lost on the mission maps. I was able to find where to go pretty quickly and follow the flow of combat even in the caves. Well put together. Definitely one of my favorite Task Forces now. Super happy that the HC team is able to raise the bar with these! 1 "All thoughts of retreat are discarded as counterproductive, there is no other course of action but to press on. You've been caught in an unseen orbit, around a power you cannot possibly fathom." Maagic Posted yesterday at 06:46 PM Posted yesterday at 06:46 PM Forgot to mention the phonographs that play music. Everyone was commenting on the music, while I was thinking "Cor blimey that's a big record!" Thing looked four foot across! LOL

And you can go to the empowerment station either in a base, or on the floor near Zoe and get KB Increase. (And toxic resist is nice to have as well) 1

BraveDecoy Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Are there any hidden treats in the new TF like there is in Aeon? Right now my choices seem to be either join a team that rushes through everything or try to make something that can solo TFs so I can enjoy the plot.

I think a few I've found on a solo run myself. Nothing that I personally felt warranted a whole character roll and level to max just to solo it for the clicks. If you mean something similar to the Hero 1 or Rikti Kong fights, yes. But you'll need to run it at 4 Star with a Master Of badge already earned.
Arbegla Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I solo'ed this on my bot/traps the other night, and I gotta say I really appreciate the work and effort that went into this TF. I wanna run it again to get all of the badges.
