Posted up a searchable and sort-able table of all of the primary & secondary powers along with the percentage of people that took them relative to the number of people that have the power set (all data from level 50 characters only):

Here's some breakdowns you might find interesting:   /Regeneration is the most popular secondary, with 41625 characters having this secondary. Fire Blast/ is the most popular Primary set, with 30219 carrying it as their primary. The most popular powerset of all, regardless of being primary or secondary, is Willpower, with 47913.    The four most popular powersets (either primary or secondary) of all are: Willpower - 47913 Fiery Aura - 44945 Time Manip

So, I can see one detail already, that was not apparent from just the "total playerbase" numbers: the popularity of Robotics, as a Mastermind primary, is becoming less and less overwhelming over time.

 

Level 50 (total 3,284)

  • Robotics: 1,067 (32.5%)
  • Demon Summoning: 634 (19.3%)

Level 32-49 (total 6,756)

  • Robotics: 1,981 (29.3%)
  • Demon Summoning: 1,262 (18.7%)

Level 2-31 (total 79,504)

  • Robotics: 19,125 (24.9%)
  • Demon Summoning: 16,713 (21.0%)

So, the lead over the second place starts at 13.2%, then declines to 10.6% and finally a statistically-negligible 3.9% in the next two brackets.  🙂

A lot of people are recommending that sets be fixed based on the low number usage. While I'm in complete support of this, there will be a number of individuals who proclaim "Cottage Rule!" or "I actually use this power and it's great, you just don't know how to use it!" despite information clearly displaying it isn't very useful or it's just bad.

 

I loved seeing this breakdown of selected powersets and combinations. I think it could definitely help the devs look into the sets that need some support (Trick Arrow, for example). I'd just hope that the devs focus on the betterment of the set and the support they have from community members, as opposed to not doing anything because a handful of individuals say "don't do it, it's my baby!"

It is! I swapped a lot of the internal names for their display counterpart but missed that one 🙂

Yes, even on live I'd not summon my tier 1 pets on those maps, just so my teammates could actually move around.  Sometimes I'd go with just the one tier 3 pet.  If this game gets a license from NC Soft and goes legit, one of the first things I'd like to see them do is to hire a couple of game artists and redo the CoT blue caves and the Council cave maps too.  Those things are just horrendous, and with any pet class at all they're doubly worse.

Thanks for this great data! Here's some more analysis, and I hope it is correct as there are a number of small naming conventions that I've found which I am hoping I have resolved. Also, I apologise for the awful table, if a moderator knows how to stretch those columns out nicely please do so 🙂

 

The Wooden Spoon badge

I have some good news if you want to make a 50 that no-one else has - there's quite a few choices! Since not a single one of these combinations have made it to 50, they each have a 0% success rate. I give the wooden spoon badge to Beast Mastery/Traps MM, since it has had the most attempts to get it started and therefore failed the most number of times.

This one I'm giving to the combination of powers that just a single person has hit 50 on, and it will be granted to the combination that has the most attempts to get there. Congratulations to Tanker: Bio Organic Armor / Broad Sword, who has a single level 50 out of 247 attempts!

 

Runners up were: Blaster - Psychic Blast / Darkness Manipulation and Scrapper - Broad Sword - Fiery Aura

This one is a category I'm reserving for the archetypes that have the highest percentage likelihood of going all the way to 50. In a very tight race, congratulations to Brute - Radiation Melee / Fiery Aura, where 48.4% of all characters created hit the magical 50!

 

A very close runner up was its fellow farming companion, Brute - Spines / Fiery Aura, where 48.0% of all characters created hit the 50! A good argument could be made that the total number of Spines/Fiery Aura characters means it should be #1.

In order to see if mine or the wifelet's toons appear on this list I reordered by AT, Primary, then Secondary. Made searching it easier. 

I'm going to start a new toon (when the baby allows some play time....)

I'd have to go back and do this again for "tried at all", but here's a spreadsheet transcribing the info about sentinel primaries and secondaries at level 50:

I go curious about this subsection, and the more I investigate, this list appears to be mostly Farming and PvP builds.  Which is interesting.

I find this really sad. Both those /fa brutes are farmers, and I'd say about 75%, at LEAST, made with that combo, are to build a farming toon.
