  1. I know, but I want the quick button for when we get threads *coughs*PK's*coughs* that are like 10+ deep. :p
  2. So...is this only a Discord thing or is that an actual in-game handle? If the former, then I've got to update my info.
  3. For curiosity sake, PK, just how Many did you have?!?
  4. Wait a tic...what's this "nsa.tools" stuff? :p
  5. This 'bug' seems to be consistent this whole time as I'm constantly having to make the settings changes. If I knew the file that it's pointing to, then I'd save that before wiping the dir.
  6. I think you're missing something rather big here though. RP or not, people Intentionally will have some alts in one group and some in another. Especially those from the OG. What you're suggesting (if it were even Possible, which it's already been suggested is Not) would result in a mess where Every alt you make will go into that SG. Now, think about this a minute. Just think about how big those ranks will get in a hurry. IDK about you, but I've already got about 4-5 dozen alts (most are OG remakes). Now imagine you get say 5 of us like that in a group and then somebody wants to go change a rank. Something rather simple and normally quick-ish depending on sorting and activity. Even if you expanded the group window from top-bottom of a screen, it would take maybe half a dozen pages to Read just to find that alt. Oh and don't forget about the bases. Your first problem will be sharing storage. We already know the storage limit is EASY to hit with a Single hoarder in the base, but imagine trying to share with hundreds of alts vs a couple hundred. Ok, you can set rules on that and hope they're followed. What about when you get a couple hundred people hanging out in the base and a few of them happen to be multi-boxing...do you like HARD crashes, because that's how you get server/instance killing crashes. The point is, until the database issue gets a work around (I'm assuming that means when they get time to dump the spaghetti and build from scratch), we're likely going to have to just deal with this as is and how we've managed before. Creatively, with coalitions, and the understanding that while we're lucky the game is back, we're even luckier it happens to work due to some very creative fixing back in OG.
  7. I do and don't like this suggestion. Yes, it adds a single, daily annoying click, but at the same time it prevents those prone to mis-clicks from having to then wait (hopefully just) a day for things to trigger the list again.
  8. I basically put it all in the title. The more I use this new layout, the more I find myself trying to get to the last page on threads I've already read through. having a button after "Next" that says "Last" would help save some clicks.
  9. The thing about the whitelisting (telling the AV that it's safe to run) is that you really should be making the whole folder whitelisted. Also, people really need to start following the installation guides as we keep seeing the game installed in things like the Downloads and Documents folders. These are protected anyway and while it May run for a while, it's quite possible a random update could fubar your install's permissions.
  10. Standardization of helpful things is helpful! ^.^
  11. Per the HIGHLY recommended installation guide, I begrudgingly suggest you change your installation to match accordingly. Having the game itself in your downloads folder is a bad idea in general. For the game: You have it like this: C:\Users\C\Downloads\homecoming Where you'll have better luck with this: C:\Games\homecoming This way when you install Any add-ons they'll end up here: C:\Games\homecoming\data If you don't do this now and they start adding to the game (or more add-ons are created/found), then you're going to keep having a headache.
  12. The link above points out the issue: Wrong Manifest The one mentioned is: http://patch.savecoh.com/manifest.xml The one I use for some reason is: http://www.savecoh.com/manifest.xml I think at some point it was mentioned to have both just in case for some reason, but I just ran a revalidate at it worked.
  13. There's no reason you should have to do Any of that. I would focus more on examining your environment first. Call the ISP and mention the high ping so they can check their lines to the house. Check your house for things that Broadcast on the wifi frequencies (radios, home phones, etc). You should be able to take out of the box network hardware and be fine.
  14. Throw up your system specs because if This is tasking the system, then there could be a deeper issue for the future.
  15. And this is why it's about the what instead of the how sometimes. Working is what we want. ^.^
  16. Just tested this version and still getting my new errors. Edit: Just tested the .Nets and same issues as expected.
  17. Confirming the bug mentioned before and adding that when opening files I'd get something about it not liking the "Pool.Fitness at 6" (when I choose hasten). I've also noticed a difference in the files in the folder are different. See attached Ok...no way to resize attachments?
  18. Or you could have posted something explaining Why like Rhass did instead of sounding snarky.
  19. This would be cool, but it'd need to be on a per-alt basis. I don't see it being easy though as many windows are used throughout the game and I've got a suspicion that doing this would affect those in a glitchy sort of way.
  20. You know that you can use ANY sound you want by using the DATA folder right? There's a thread or three on the OG forums and atleast one here that covers it. There's probably something on PW too.
  21. Unless needed for something else, you know you can turn off snap right? Unless you're talking about an NVidia feature, then IDK how that works.
  22. Nice catch and if it's not already, then point this out to the troubleshooting posts. What's that reg key for btw? What's the modifier do?
