Homecoming's 2nd Anniversary - Echo Plaza, Festivities & The Future
Tacheyon replied to Jimmy's topic in Announcements
Well my character does wear a leather skirt. And uses a whip. And is a Lady with a particular set of skills. So I think I'll just leave her off to the side. Maybe I'll go with a homage to Pinhead! 😁 -
Homecoming's 2nd Anniversary - Echo Plaza, Festivities & The Future
Tacheyon replied to Jimmy's topic in Announcements
I am just curious about if there are points deducted (or just silently knocked out of contention) if say a name or costume theme is a little too...spicy. I am not talking about TOS breaking bad, but more PG-16 then say PG. I have a few contenders I am debating on entering and this will help me narrow down my options. -
I am also starting my own Water/Storm Corruptor during the Anniversary event. I found some helpful builds and decided to modify my own. Now that Afterburner is part of Fly there is now an open power slot available. Also I don't see the need for 6 slotting Tidal Forces, so I dropped that down to 2 slots and added Steam Spray with 5 slots. Also added a KB to KD into Gale for added CC without blowing everything away. This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.0.4.7 https://github.com/Reborn-Team/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! I'd like to see Metal 2 option on the Female Body Type. I am curious as to why it isn't available?
-
NOW CAN YOU DIG THAT!!!! . . .... SUCKAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Yes, this is true. But I was also in a phase where I was creating the most complex characters (in terms of stances). Which is also why I also have a DP/Bio Sent. I did make a SR/Staff Tanker that will take Spin2Win as well.
-
I did this on a Staff/Bio Brute. Best. Decision. Evar!
-
If you are looking at Demons and wanting to place a -res proc, look at Crack Whip. It is a cone yes, but a decent size attack does it's own -res and can slot both a Annihilation -Res plus a Force Feedback +Recharge. Plus it saves you having to get a whole bunch of powers to try for one proc (especially because it doesn't stack, just refreshes).

Homecoming's 2nd Anniversary - Echo Plaza, Festivities & The Future

It's actually not that bad. You can always set them to GO TO a spot and the AI (usually) keeps them in a decent range of it. Plus really the only power you want to be spamming is Gale. Now Ninja/EA! There is a click hungry combo. All the END you will ever need, plus Absorb and Heal on fast CD's to keep the buggers alive longer. This combo is a work out.

While I know only having 113 Characters is a bit low, it is getting a bit tough to manage organizing what I have. Is there a way to add a function to sort characters based on level/AT/Days not played? Not sure if has ever been asked before, but I thought I would take a swing at it.

I would say Thugs over Bots in terms of AOE. Between your Arsonist, Enforcers plus late game Thugs you have a lot of AOE. And you get some of those before 32. (although the best ones are at 32)

When you port in you are in the Colosseum and can't see around the walls. Just don't look straight up and you should be fine. -
Have you checked to see if MM's are truly for you? Pets will fall in battle (if you are unlucky then all of them will). That's the class. Their job is to attack and protect you. Your job is to keep them alive and sometimes you fail...a lot. Better them then you. If you are a Necro you want your Lich or Grave Knight to fall (die again?) so you can summon another pet. But being able to re-summon a fully upgraded team should take a little bit of time. Heck with the changes in the last patch there is barely any incentive to keep your pets alive as all the CD's are non-existent as well as the Endurance cost are so low. It's not like the early days of the class with having to resummon and train (INDIVIDUALLY) all your pets each time to zone in. What we have in HC right now is as close to making things Automatic as ever.
-
Who hurt you as a MM?
-
WHOo-Hoo! Finally got a chance to donate after a long while.

A Tankermind is where you build yourself to be the Tank of your team. So this mean maxing out your Defensee and Resistance to the cap (of as close to). You then leave your pets on Defensive Follow to activate Bodyguard mode. This will let your pets share the damage you take, basically increasing your HP. That and once you are attacked your pets will start attacking the source of that damage. You want to have pets that have a decent amount of HP as well (Demons, Thugs, Bots). Also a secondary that complements a up close and personal style of play FF, Dark, Traps to name the top ones. I don't actually have a build for you as I have not engage in that side of MM's before. But that is the general theory of being a Tankermind. I am sure other people well versed in this playstyle will come by and offer more detailed advice shortly.
-
Yep, which is why I am trying out a Mercs/Nature build that I started yesterday. I want to see how the DPS and/or chains have been modified with this simple chain. Obviously it's not got to be world chaining but there should be a bit of an increase.

issue 27 Patch Notes for April 20th, 2021 - Issue 27, Page 2

SANTA!!!! HE CAME!!!!! HE CAME!!! Looking forward to being able to do things on my AR Sent & Corr. Not hitting Full Auto, going out to grab a coffee come back and still have some time to read Sun Tzu The Art of War. -
Yeah Thugs/Poison is a very nice combo. The bruiser is so useful as an anchor for a lot of stuff. That is also why I am adding Thugs/Sonic to the mix. You can put on Disruption and Repulsion (with a KB to KD) and things get knocked on their butts enough your Bruiser remains safe and your Thugs/Enforcers can shoot and fire bomb at their leisure. Thanks for the insight. I'll study this more as I need to re-spec soon.

I am just wondering how you are able to fit in both Burnout and Fold Space? Are you not taking the Leadership pool? Or skipping the Epic Pools?

I'm a dummy. Is there a pet window somewhere?
Tacheyon replied to DarknessEternal's topic in Controller
Go to Options - Window scroll down and there is an Option to Enable "Pet Window" After that go to the Team window and the Pet Window is visable. -
Basically what my title says. I have good concepts for both so I'll probably will make one of each eventually. But I am curious which one is the more synergistic? I am thinking /Fire with the PBAOEs it has. Although Savage does get you into melee range faster and has some cones so you can stack Fear/Aoe Immob/Unkindness. Too many options! Hehe
-
Also the search function works on these boards. Plenty of builds with /Sonic in them and you basically copy that with w/e Primary you pick.

Jan. 23rd - Color Theory theme costume contest!
Tacheyon replied to GM Kaiju's topic in Events & Contests
I think because they were doing them once a month there was a declining amount of people attending. So they are doing more Quarterly CC's now. Next one is in May for the Anniversary. That one has no restriction. Just bring the best costume you can.
