  1. So this is kind of what I was going for in my Thugs/Poison. Poison Trap you want to lace with a ton of Proc Damage. It becomes a nuke. Also I went with Leviathan mastery for thematic reasons. But Knockout Blow is good, and a place you can put a + Recharge into. I also went with Burnout so I can get double Gang War for really tough fights. And Gang war is where you usually put most of your Def/Res auras. But Thugs/Poison is good you can play around a lot with it and not really gimp yourself. 2. This is I believe the basic build of my Beast/Dark. It is quite nice and tanky as the -tohit keeps you and your pets from getting hit. As well Tar Patch keeps everyone together. 3. My first Blaster EVER was a Water/TA. Glue Arrow + Whirlpool in the early levels for your AOE damage. Then bump it to Oil Slick and Gyser/Steam Spray in the end game (both ignite Oil Slick). The upside is that you don't ever have to get into Melee Range. All the powers are Ranged and design to keep things at range.
  4. Wait...you DIDN'T like Ninja/Storm? Slot a couple KB to KD in Gale and Tornado put a OF: Chance for KD in Genins and thing are flopping all over the place. It makes keeping your Ninjas that much easier. You should also try using Poison in a couple of builds. Thugs/Ninjas/Beasts I am having success with using Poison. With Ninjas you can't fight huge groups. But you can (once slotted) take down High level small groups. With Thugs you can put Noxious Gas on your Bruiser have him run in and neuter the mobs. Yes it is on a LONG cooldown (Devs please look into that) but it's highly effective against AV's. TA is also a nice powerset to use with certain pets. Again Thugs is a godly combo. Laydown a Oil Slick and let your Arsonist ignite it. Also pair up with Bonfire for more FIRE! (and control) I'll also 2nd (and 3rd) Demons/EA. Not only does it make your pets insanely hard to kill (with the +res field and always up heals and absorb), but they will never run out of END so they can just keep attacking. Demon/Dark is also a close second in terms of tankiness. I have a Mercs/Nature that is doing ok at 35. I haven't slotted it heavily, but because everyone is ranged you can keep them in your healing patch while you debuff everyone else.
  5. Oooh I am getting all Moist thinking about it!
  6. So any word on when the next page is out? I'll even take 1/2 a page....a paragraph! A Sentence! Give me a word...just a word!
  7. You mean like this? Yeah did that on Live the moment Thugs came out!
  8. You might also try Plant/Traps. Your Scrapper might appreciate a Triage Beacon and Spirit Tree double buff to Regen. Among other debuffs you can do.
  9. I am pretty sure they can only disqualify you for the costume you are presenting. They don't have access to see any of your other ones.
  10. Thugs/Traps (my first 50 on Live): A gang initiate who got ratted out by her fellow members and spent her time in Jail not only recruiting her own gang but learning and applying battlefild tactics and gadgets to become a Super Gang Leader. Thugs/Poison: An Science experiment from Crey that was incorrectly disposed of and found by some hooligans. After they became sick and died from the natural poisons corsing through her the leaders raised her to be their most powerful member. Thugs/Sonic: A Classic Diva who uses "Local Talent" to remove any competition and potential "usurpers" to her top spot at the Opera! Thugs/Trick Arrow : Classic Robyn Hood trope. That's just half my Thug army.... I have a major Alt-ists problem.
  11. Yep. /Cold and /FF would be better if you want to raise Ninjas to Def cap (of close to). Although you can skip all that and just go straight to insanity and roll a Ninja/Storm and go for max KB/KD. Keep your Ninjas alive by keeping everything else on their backs!
  12. While I couldn't get there through the TUNNEL system. I was able to access it no issues through Pocket D on Saturday.
  13. LOL You changed the date. I had the 17th marked on my google calendar for this contest. I guess it pays to read. But at least I can ask a question. Can you mix or put a twist on a character from a story? Like making a Red Riding Hood character, but she is also the Woodsman as an example? Or would you like a pure and easy t read version?
  14. You want Pure Control. Nothing beats Earth/TA. Double ST Holds, 1 ST Immob to combine with your AOE Immob for bosses. 2 AOE holds (Volcanic Gases, EMP). 2 Slow fields, Debuffs for days. Couple that with Stone Mastery (another ST hold, AOE knockback/up) and nothing will move unless you will it. Of course you do pretty much no damage and need a team for that. Even if you are on a speed team you always have something that will keep things together or control the situation when things go bottom up. I also have a Earth/Storm and there you get a more balance (late game) of control/damage. Traps/Nature/Rad are also top synergizers with Earth. I basically have every single combo of Earth Controllers....I LOVE EARTH!!
  15. Fire brings a good damage to go with your debuffs. Plus a nice synergy with Hot Feet and Venomous Gas. Earth/Poison just debuff the hell out of everything, but no damage to follow up. I have also been thinking about doing an Illusion/Poison. Since you can't buff PA you can certainly debuff for them.
  16. I have gotten runner up twice now in Themed contests when quite a few of the people who 'entered' didn't bother even understanding what the requirements were to be eligible to win. On open ones I don't think I have even come close. Even though I put in a ton of time into it. Does it suck not even being recognized, yes. But that's life. And CC's are very personal biased things. Lots of creativity though in those and I take a lot of screenshots to maybe get a design idea for my next Alt. The ones run by the official GM's are pretty fair, but very popular so the chances of winning are quite low. Player run events are smaller so you have a better chance. But then you also run the risk of a 18 year old siding with the max female chest slider entry or the Edgelord wannebe. Look at the next CC being held in July. It is a Folklore, Fables, and Fairy Tales theme. Start looking at what you might like to play that can fit that theme. Then just start spending time designing and scrapping lots of ideas. Some will not work because the engine isn't set up for it, or the pieces don't quite line up. That is where the fun begins as you try and adapt.
  17. I am actually thinking about Mercs/Storm. /Storm makes everything great, why not see if it can elevate those guys.
  18. You could always do Martial as Cows do kick in defense. Also you can use Super Jump as her travel power (like the nursery rhyme "The Cow jumped over the Moon").
  19. This build doesn't bloom till later. At 15 you are right it is a bit lackluster. Get a couple IO's into it and get at least to Full Auto, then decide. Plus the only real power you need to put a KB to KD is M30 Grenade. Slug and Buckshot are only 1.25 Mag, so they only fly a little back. You don't take AR to be "Top Damage, OMG I MELTED THEM IN ONE CLICK", it just isn't the type of power (Fire and Water are those). But then again I play mostly Controllers and MM's. So I am used to waiting till late game to get really good powers and any damage is more then a Controllers.
  20. That is also why you pick up Glue Arrow. The slow will keep everything in the ignited oil slick. That plus putting in a KB to KD enh to your M80 Grenade will provide another avenue of CC to keep things burning in the 'Hot Zone'.
  21. Containment doesn't have a special pop up. It's basically just you do double damage. And it does work with Controller Epics. Which is why Seismic Smash is a popular choice. Very high damage (for a Controller Power plus you get more Hold Mag) that you do double for when things are held. Although I am pretty sure it doesn't work for pets and pseudo-pets like Ice Storm.
  22. With the changes to Teleport, would going into that pool for Fold Space and Combat TP be worth it? As a way to get a bunch of mobs close to you in order to hit all your PBAOEs? Is the build too tight to incorporate this in? Or would I just die the moment I appear?
  23. I am pretty sure it works on Defensive Goto if your pets are still in Supremacy range.
