  1. With all the social distancing and home schooling going on Mombie found their daily sporting outing to Perez Park was more important than ever to stop the children going totally stir crazy at home. Here's their story Mombie and Baby's Lovely Day out Mombie and the children went to the park. The children were very excited to be out of the house. Daddy was excited too. Baby ran all the way to the park by himself. First they did sports in the bandstand. Baby was too small to play with the balls like the bigger children. Daddy did his exercises. Then they went to the pond to do some fishing. "Baby. Be careful not to fall in" Mombie said. Baby got his feet wet. Then they had a lovely picnic. Daddy had a cup of tea. Baby didn't like his sandwich. And finally Mombie told them a lovely story about unicorns before they had to go home for Babys naptime.
  2. So when you hit level 20 all the way to 50 the Find Contact button in the UI gets almost totally filled with First Ward & Night Ward contacts. I've no problem with one or two to get you trying that content but 90% of the list becomes FW / NW making it hard to find the older contacts in Bricks, Founders and PI. Could we have a bit of a run through that logic to point people at other contacts? I ran the Revenant Project arc over the weekend and (other than the occasional PP doing it's Immortal Mode every now and then) it was a lot of fun with the 8 man PuGs I was running with my Stalker. I'd quite like to find other old arcs. Can't remember the last time I ran Freakolympics for example. I'd also quite like Vigs & Rogues to be able to pick up Praetoria and other side contacts too, just to open the arcs up a bit but understand others mightn't like that.
  3. I used to be all support all the time. Controllers mainly, with masterminds, defenders and corruptors supplementing that. While I still have a controller and defender all my recent addictions in Homecoming now include 2 Brutes, a Domi which ive Perma-domed (first time ever) and now a Stalker who started to really bloom in the last few days in his 30s. And a Warshade but I always loved the random hodgepodge of a tricked out WS. So more melee for me, which I never did for long on Live. Plus one of my brutes can run S&L farms at a rate to fund lowbies as they level which is excellent. Jump on for 30 mins, 40 million which is enough for whatever set the current levelling build needs. Never farmed on Live (I know its not "proper" farming but its good enough and he's still a decent char outside).
  4. Oohhhh! Never even thought of that
  5. Thanks both! I discovered I could also change the Default to my level, then set all my IOs to that default. But the number thing I never knew at all!
  6. So a usage question : Is it possible to set the level for individual slotted IOs? Or set everything to a specific level rather than Min / Max? I have a WIP build and want to see current figures rather than what Level 50 IOs would net me.
  7. I've been running Savage/Shield this week and the damage is fantastic. Just hit 33 and started slotting out Savage Leap. But my god the End issues. I'm running with 3 stamina + Performance Shifter, Health with Panacea + Miracle and I've been slotting sets and frankenslotting for End reduction and it can still be a struggle, especially if any Elec enemies get into the mix. My shield toggles are all 3 slotted for Defense only (no sets in there yet) so maybe its that but at times it's so painful. Also is 35.7% the max DDR Shields can get. Doesn't seem to be slottable in Mids (Grant Covers seems to ignore Def bonuses and Active Defense won't take them). Is that just how it is for Shields? But it's a hell of a lot of fun so far. Unless a bloody Super Stunner shows up with his damn Rez.
  8. He said "mains" plural in the subject. I ran with that. 😀
  9. Sei Fude, my Warshade, lives in the sea. Possibly in a pineapple, who knows. Snookered, my Staff/Nrg Brute frequents the pool halls of Bricks and Founders. Pool is probably as close as he'll get in Paragon City and he's a robot so doesnt need a place to crash. Mombie, my Necro/Nature mastermind definitely lives at the edge of Perez Paek where theres.plenty of green spaces for the children to run around and plenty of low level gang members available as snacks for hungry wee ones. Iron Brew, my War Mace/Rad probably Founders too with all the construction going on. A wrench comes in handy since he's still got a sideline plumbing. Carnifax, Croatoa without a doubt. Plenty of leylines for an Imp to feed on. Activ-808, Time/Sonic Troll DJ has a pad in Talos since that's where the best clubs are. And possibly a crash space in St Martial too.
  10. My new Savage / Shield Stalker : The Binman A former sanitation worker turned Vigilante (okay, will-turn-Vigilante-once-I-remember-to-go-to-an-interdimensional-nightclub-and-talk-to-a-seagull) (I'm not sure how the name was free on Reunion but chanced it on Monday and here we are)
  11. Everyone forgets about Nature. Nature gives Resists too, plus the Absorb shield. The Tier 9 Damage buff isn't as great on Brutes as other ATs but the targetting regen / recovery patch is rather nice too.
  12. So it turned out I was already at Permadom levels without the ATO or the Doctored Wounds. So rejigged things to replace some spare recharge with ranged defense (since I'm never in melee range anyway). Lucked out on a S/L farm on another char this morning too while earning the Inf for the ATOs and two purples dropped so crafted and converted them into PROCs for my hold and Trick Shot. 14. War Mace. Nice and chunky and the tier 9 with its 180 cone and knockdown just feels great. Staff Fighting. AoE > AoE > Quick slap > Breakdancing PbAoe which debuffs and procs and back to the start. Tier 9 feels great as a finisher too. Yes its silly but I like it. It seems to have longer ranges on everything too (??). Hayete the redraw. Why doesnt it have a redrawless version??? Claws, although I havent played it much in Homecoming. The knockback cone would be much nicer thanks to Kb2Kd. Didnt like Rad at all. Seems really Slow and the contaminated mechanism is hard to predict.
  15. How about Ice/Staff. Staff will bolster your lethal defense, it seems to have longer ranges on everything and it comes with 2 big melee cones and a pbaoe making it punchvoke-happy. The deal breaker might be the animations. They're not actually slow but they are busy (one is essentially a breakdance). Of course you can just lean into that and use it as concept (plenty of 80s hiphop with Ice in their names...)
  16. After leading a team yesterday I'm all for this. Was running +2 malta arc where everyone else was non-incarnate. The problem was everyone else was being murdered whereas I was pretty much unkillable. Dropping the diff would just mean I was 1 or 2 shotting everything, I was essentially level 51 and everyone else was 49. It was on Reunion so teams tend to be like this and it was an arc I wanted to play (Crimson) but I felt handicapped by an unwanted level shift. I guess I can craft a lesser Alpha, but it seems unnecessary to have it outside of Incarnate stuff.
  17. Hmmm. And Water has a bit of a heal to help with soloing. Interesting. Waiting for 35 levels for Sleet makes me slightly sad though, but I've never actually run a Cold before.
  18. So I'm not feeling it on my Water / Rad Corrupter. Like the Water bit but it doesn't seem to quite gel with Rads I'd like; Whirlpool makes things scatter, Rad like things close for the Anchor debuffs. A PBAOE Hold isn't great on a ranged set like Water. So what alternatives do people recommend? I've played quite a few support sets so far in this incarnation of CoH, so I'd rule out Time, Storm and Dark because of that.
  19. Hi folks My Staff / NRG Brute has finally hit level 35 (a heal! Finally) and I'm starting to think how to best approach kitting them out. Here's my attempt at a reasonable build. Obviously the ATOs will be Superiored once I ding 50, I just wanted to see more of a WIP numbers build before I get there. 20. Necro / Nature / Mako mastermind with procs everywhere. She was just a spur of the moment character based off a pun that popped into my head (Mombie : A little old lady who likes gardening...). Natures Big Three AOE buffs just makes here tanky as heck and with Life Drain, Shark Jaws and Knockout Blow all stuffed with procs and two single target -res powers (Natures and the Pool power one which also has procs) she can flatten bosses.
  21. Group Invis / Shadow Fall is what I do. Perma invis, plus Clarion-power boosted FadeGroupInvis make all your squishie teammates very happy. (And kiss goodbye to their costumes because they're gonna be purple eyed ghosts while they hang around you)
  22. I'll often bounce a char between Reonion and Everlasting if Onion is being quiet and I cant be bothered starting a team. Quick and seamless too so its quite handy.
  23. The first one. The two procs in the power dont get the bonus damage from the -resist. All the ones in the follow-up powers hella-do 😀
  24. Im a huge fan of this generally. My Time/Sonic defender has 2 damage procs and achilles in Slowed Response. They proc almost every time thanks to the fact ive no recharge slotted in there (cos Time.... why would I need recharge slotting when my global is silly). So youve dumped 51% -resist onto everything and hit everything with the equivalent of 2 tier 1 attacks (sadly the proc damage doesnt benefit from that Resist debuff). And now I'm going to Howl, Build-up-procced Aim and Dreadful Wail you all. Its glorious. My Necro/Nature Mm also has Knockout Blow and Shark Jaws procced up. Because procs do the same damage for any AT it makes them hit like trucks.
  25. I'd like to think I'm totally original but I think most of my recent characters have been subconsciously affected by watching The Tick. I mean a Troll raver and part-time DJ who is big time into Glow Sticks (Active-808), a mom who raises the dead (Mombie), a scottish sterotype fuelled by a regional soft drink (Iron Brew) and a cue wielding robot with a cue ball for a head (Snookered).
