  1. In the real world those wouldn't stay in place for more than a hot minute, but if you go thru the lore, those buildings have been like that for some time. (I'd have to go back and read some of the plaques again for a more accurate timestamp)
  2. Building standards are pretty interesting in the CoX universe. You have buildings that are partially fallen over, but still structurally sound enough to sit in that position for years. And somehow, I doubt in our world, that bit of work they're doing on the building near the steel entrance [-1824.4 93.7 5349.5] would happen. I think most buildings would just be razed and then maybe a rebuild. Of course, we've got a few zones that are messed up. Boomtown & Faultline seem to be the only ones with some work being done. And the construction in Steel has now been going on for quite some time. Resource wise, it would seem to make sense to fix that leak in the dam as a priority... We have more population coming in via Praetorian refugees and Galaxy City getting smashed. There's a lot of story that is just waiting to be picked up again.
  3. Personally, I'd use another system like UE: Paragons & Protectors and go mostly for the story flavor without worrying about translating in game mechanics.
  4. Ok, apparently it's something to do with secure DNS. Disabling that allowed me to go to the wiki, but I need to look more into the cause since I don't want to leave that off.
  5. For some reason, I can't reach the wiki. I get "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site" Thought it might clear up after rebooting the routers, etc... Looks like some dns cache elsewhere up the chain is being annoying.
  6. Hami, 120 merits in 30 minutes. (and that's the long estimate) Quite a few arcs that can be knocked out much faster. The new Stribbling arc you can knock out in an hour for 100 merits. The rest of your post, sure. As pointed out, there's no one path to building up inf.

  8. It's even more fun with private chats since it will also not append in actual order. It will save the current chat in reverse order sometimes which wouldn't be a big deal if they at least had better timestamps. 😄 Most of my chatlog archive has to do with playing around with a parser for combat logs and drops. I was just looking at my private log since I was sent a tell just as I was logging out last night
  9. What's nice at the lower levels, recipes are cheap and easily converted to replace that 40 mil easily. And yes, Everyone plays different from Everyone. (heck, i think my alt account plays different)
  10. What defensive powerset do your u enjoy playing the most? And the least? Depends on mood, easier to find the ones I don't have much experience with: Dark, Super Reflex, and Stone; though revisiting a Dark tank soonish Regen annoys me in that it has potential, and it's hard to use (outside of Sentinel). Click Mez protection are probably my least favorite Inv, WP, and Bio are my favorites for different reasons, but I have been doing the others for tests. Is there a particular defensive powerset that you feel compelled a overtuned? Not particularly. Depends on what you're fighting I find. Inv, WP, and Bio. I hear Rad is overtuned. 😄 What about any that you perceive as undertuned? Regen needs help. Tricky part is making it more useful without just making it WP or Bio. (Though Sentinel Regen is at the appropriate level for it) What about playing defensive based sets whether they use defense, resistance, regen, or some combination thereof that appeal to you the most? Anything that gets your regen rate higher than your losing health is good. D you take taunt if available? Every time for tanks, usually with brutes, sometimes with scrappers. The cooler the animation, the more likely. Also depends on if I have a power slot to burn. How does each armor set stack up at various difficulty levels? One thing I like about WP & Regen is that endurance is not a big of a deal. What type of agro management do you focus on if any? Depends on the AT, but with a tank, I'll be more proactive about pulling them over. Case by case on the others. What kind of experience do you have tanking whether as a tank or other melee based toon with an armor based powerset? Enough to really get myself in trouble. Solo? Small teams? Large teams? Leagues? Yes. I try to get myself at a good level in regards to not need too much support, but that support then can push my melee char into doing more.

  13. Another person who has played my storm blast mostly on teams. Some were steamrollers, some not. On my sentinel, I was able to get storm cell nearly on every group and cat5 wasn't far behind. It's a fun set that does middle tier damage and tends to mess up the enemy quite a bit.
  14. Not sure what might be the issue. I don't use it a lot, but seems to be running on my linux system setup. (Though I tend to use BadgeSetList outside the modder since I do a couple modifications to it myself afterwards.)
  15. No on seeding, possible on converting. Conversion will probably flatten the market though initial turmoil since we have prices from 1000 to 800M depending on a few factors. Not too invested myself. I have a couple powers that would be better off with a Hami instead of current, but not enough to make a difference. Then again, I don't try to tweak out the last few percentages.
  16. I think for TFs, I like that many of them now when you call the contact for the next mission, that it kicks everyone out onto the street. (unless it's me and I was trying to get revenge on some mob. 😉 ) Unless the person is a lead, it's rarely a problem from my point of view. I think this would also have a negative effect on those roleplayers that have a character doing some emote in a base.
  17. Correct on female skulls not counting. (not sure on the reason it hasn't been fixed) There are a couple different mobs where this happens. Arcachnos for one other.

  19. I do have a popmenu that sets up my macros that I use. (One of which is a popmenu with a bunch of different base destinations) I'll try to remember to post it later. I think I use binds for a few things like team Gratz, and teleports. Most of my macros are targetting of surgeons (which gets modified for other targets as needed) and calling the BadgeSetList, Conversion, WindowScaler, etc... menus)
  20. And while the characters do have to start fresh on the server, if you saved your costumes & AE missions from the old days, those can still be used somewhat. There are new options.

  23. I'm enjoying my partially outfitted Storm/Dark Sentinel. I find it works well with small teams since it does mess with the enemy mobs while the rest of the team brings the damage. Was on an ITF with several other storm blasts and I didn't note any difference in the usual results. The set definitely plays different which I think is messing with people's perceptions to it. And I'm still figuring out strategies with it. My only complaint is my end use which is just as much the usual Dark problem. I'll have to get back to playing my Storm/Cold corrupter which I built for support and it does that well already.
  24. The part what one calls a purple seems an issue. Making an ATO or Event Superior gives that 25% boost and the very Rares do tend to have that same Enh number, unless they get boosted. (And really, Very Rares should have the ability to attune them disabled since I'm pretty sure there is nothing gained) The part that is ambiguous is the Event, ATO, and Very Rares being called Purple and then we get a back and forth about you shouldn't attune purple sets and then people get pedantic. And a conversation that was probably just about Very Rares gets side tracked and shoots off into the weeds. And of course, one Event set can not be made superior. Based on the OP wanting perhaps a Orange that could then have a catalyst to make Purple, they may have meant an Event enhancement instead of the Very Rares. And there we only have Holds, Melee AOE, Melee, Ranged AoE, Ranged, and the non-superior Universal Damage.
  25. Yep, no one really agrees to the classification of "Purple" Especially since making ATO and Event sets Superior gives them a purple outline. Though maybe Purple should be reserved for "Can only be slotted by a 50" We have the Very Rare which are Purple which share some properties. Very Rare Sets that we don't have: Recharge Intensive Pets, Sniper Attacks, Accurate Healing, Healing, Defense, Resist Damage, Fear, Knockback, Threat/Placate, End Mod, ToHit, Debuffs, and Travel.
