This right here is your answer to everything. If you like it... great! if not, ok too. Not everyone likes Picasso, or Renoir, or Anne Geddes, or whoever made "Dogs Playing Poker" .... There are a lot posted on the forum that I don't particularly care for either and I think "what were they thinking and why are people liking that? But okay, whatever... glad they are happy." And then there are a lot that I do like too and I am happy to give them a like or thumbs up. I post some of mine too... it's great when people like them, but ok if they don't... I make them to MY liking first and foremost. I share them in case perhaps it inspires someone else for something they want to do. I also get inspiration from others. But at the end of the day.... it's subjective and is what appeals to you. 🙂

Thanks. I appreciate the clarification. However, i'm kind of disappointed that she can fly in the last mish because it's WAY too easy. It's like... why have this mission? You free her and then fly her out without ever killing a thing. The entire mission takes 5 secs. Always seemed like a waste to me. Yeah, I know people would raise hell, but people want everything too easy these days. Perhaps if reward merits were upped, people would be onboard for her staying grounded in last mission. ??? ....but that's for the suggestion section. 🙂

Patch notes says she no longer flies... but in final mission of the Katie Hannon TF, she still flies.

Base Editor Changes: Things We'd All Like to See
Frozen Burn replied to Dacy's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Hi, thanks. Yes, I know flipping a 2nd of SOME items - like the flat flooring piece you described will work.... and I have done that in the few places that I can make it work. However, there are so many 3D objects that you cannot add a bottom to by flipping another piece or a piece of flooring because size doesn't match, other types of incongruity, or the design just doesn't fit. I appreciate the thought, though! (and nice looking library!) -
Base Editor Changes: Things We'd All Like to See
Frozen Burn replied to Dacy's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
1. I have a Roman themed base and could use: more of the Roman building blocks - small to large brick block for building platforms and ledges. Currently, I am placing stairs, and flipping another set of stairs to put on top of it matching up the steps to create a solid block - this is painful, time consuming, and difficult to create a city. I'd also like the rest of the Roman archways - the bridge / platform pieces. We get "Roman Archway" large and small, but they really just columns... we have no pieces to create the platform to bridge across. 2. What is HUGELY needed are pieces that have a bottom or back! MANY times I find a piece I want to use in an elevated position, but can't because it has no bottom and you can see right through it! This is SO frustrating and disappointing. 3. Way to move pieces with the keyboard only (no mouse) - from nudging a few pixels to moving several feet. I have a base of islands in the shadow shard and using large rocks to cover the underside and sides of the plot to hid sightlines. However, it is now extremely hard to impossible to select an object on the plot, unless I go to the "Room Items" option and find the piece in the placed list. If I do, and select it, Whenever I try to click on the piece to move it, rotate it, or whatnot, I end up selecting the large rock instead because the "box" takes priority, apparently. Being able to nudge or move a piece SOLELY with the keyboard would help here. 4. This brings up another problem I have, because there are so many rocks placed on the ploy to cover sightlines, I cannot even select the plot floor when inside to raise/lower the floor or ceiling. Someone above suggested being able to "lock" pieces into place - perhaps this is what would make my issue here and in point #3 go away - Lock a piece in place and the bluebox goes away and you cannot select the piece again, until you unlock it. ??? If that is possible - that could be a game-changer... or a base-building changer! 😄 -
Separate volume control for glowies
Frozen Burn replied to Gerswin's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
This was something that was requested during live, and I believe the answer was, it is impossible to give a user control of separate entity volume like that. However, they did on the backend (back on live) increase volume of the glowies themselves compared to other ambient noises. Glowies are already loud enough and sometimes too loud that I want to turn them down. I can hear them from other rooms and it makes me search the wrong room often. As for graphics issues, if your glowie is invisible, most likely it spawned under the map - there are a couple of maps that this still happens on - best to send a petition while you're on that map and have a GM come in fix it for ya. And yes, clicking a patch of dirt in the Cimeroran Catacomb that is under some non-glowing skulls can be difficult to see... but it is a nice affect and placed where it should be story-wise. Now that you know where it is, you shouldn't have any issues finding them in the future. -
It's been like that since day 1 from live and still is today. It's like Propel Gravity Controllers use and their objects persist, or bullet casings from gun fire, leaves on trees that fall (like in ouro) or other such objects. They will eventually fade, but they are on a longer timer.

Archery/TA and I took them all and use them all. Glue Arrow is one of my "must-haves" - slotted for damage/procs, it does pretty well and it helps keep mobs in your burning oil slick too. ESD Arrow + plus Stunning Shot and bosses are out of the fight. Ice Arrow for pesky Lts... so much good control and damage with TA. 😄 Flash Arrow is a great debuff and you can click glowies right in front of a mob! TA is not like some other blaster secondaries where there are obvious skippable powers. All the powers in TA are useful and you can't go wrong picking any or all of them. If you feel you must skip some for your specific build, then skip whatever doesn't fit your playstyle. What's "must-have" for some doesn't necessarily match the "must-have" for others - case in point, glue arrow as discussed above. 🙂

It depends on what you want to do.... If you want to solo or kill AVs/EBs quickly.... then Corr. If you want to team mostly, then Defender. If you exemp a lot for TFs, then Defender - you'll get more of your Rad abilities early on for the AVs.

I am not aware of any bug going on, but that's not to say it isn't bugged. One thing I can suggest, as I fell prey to this.... Check your alignment. If you are a hero trying to place villain zones beacons, they won't show up for you; and vice versa for villains trying to place hero zone beacons. I spent a very frustrating and foul-mouthed hour trying to get villain zone beacons to work when it suddenly hit me - I was a Hero and OF COURSE they wouldn't show for me. lol 😄 Once I switched to Vigilante/Rogue, they appeared and worked as intended. ....long shot, but maybe that's your issue?? If not, here are some things to note/check.... Confirm you are getting the yellow box around the beacon/teleporter when you place them. If so, they are connected. If not, they are too far away. There is a max limit to how many beacons you can place on 1 teleporter. I believe it is 10, if I recall correctly. If you only have 1 teleporter and are trying to place more than that, they won't get the yellow box around them noting they are connected - you'll have to place another teleporter. I hope some of this helps.

"Return to Battle" Prestige Revival Power Bugged
Frozen Burn replied to Burnt Umber's topic in Bug Reports
Can we get a fix for this please?? I should think this is a something that can be easily worked into a general update, but with the immanent release of the i27 Page, perhaps this can be included?! REALLY tired of having a 2-hour cool down on a power that is only supposed to be 1 hour. -
Both suggestions above are great! Clearly, @Six-Six and I have similar ideas using the Imperial Defense chest detail. 🙂 Since you cannot get an exact look, I created a backstory where my Sting Wing Agent didn't agree with one of Manticore's directives that would have caused collateral damage and harmed a kid. So he was kicked out of Wyvern. Having lost his jetpack, he bought rocket boots! (It gives the same feel AND you can also have a quiver for those never-ending arrows we shoot!) 😄 Instead of the hat route, I went with the Warrior half-helm and the Warrior helm detail 1. Well, costume file attached and you can see my choices.... Good luck! Sting Agent.costume

What to do with Empyrean Merits in the future...
Frozen Burn replied to Spectral's topic in General Discussion
When your incarnate abilities are all crafted and there is no need to make any more, you still collect threads, emps, and astrals... Yes, Luna will help convert threads into super inspires... but I find this mostly useless -- only on a rare occasion have I had a need to do this. Most of my toons will never need to visit Luna. I like converting the few leftover Emps and Astrals I have into Reward Merits -- it's a great way to use up this salvage in a more productive way. I am bummed this feature is going away, but it won't hurt me as bad as some others, as I know some people heavily rely on the conversion to RMs to build their alts. I am excited that RMs will be dropped with iTrials in addition to the usual rewards. That will be awesome! -
We already become uber in this game. People already complain that the game is "too easy" so there is no need to buff Assault to make it that much easier for us. HOWEVER, the Taunt Resistance it provides is broken and does need fixing. It used to be that if Assault was running, you would not be affected by Black Scorpion's taunt in MLTF - now, you are affected even if multiple Assaults are running. Fixing this would also provide more usefulness for this feature now that Crey Juggernauts taunt too.

I love blapping! I prefer to be in melee range with my blasters than at range. You can blap with any primary. You can even use cones wile in the middle of a mob - you only get a section of it, but you can still do it. Also, moving a few feet to get more in your cone (also mitigating incoming damage) is easy to do as well - just try do it after all your Melee & PBAOEs. If anything is left alive, they will swarm around you for more Melee / PBAOEs. Blapping really depends on your secondary and the powers you choose. Some are better for than other. Avoid /Devices and /Tactical Arrow. And while can blap with /Energy, it's a little lack-luster since you don't have any PBAOEs and Total Focus being so slow. Right now, /Sonic is also lack luster due to Defeaning Wave (PBAOE) being bugged and putting out such low damage and having such shorter range than other blaster sets. Once they fix that, it will be a good set for blapping. One of my most fun Blappers is Energy/Martial.

Thanks! Glad you liked it. This toon really is a "joy" to play and I laugh myself when she swings her clubs. I'm not really into role-playing, but more sayings and costume ideas come up as I play her. 😄

The Joy of Clubbing (War Mace/Invuln Scrapper) Joy Johnson practically lived at nightclubs--always dancing and partying. She raved with some Carnies in Pocket D one night and woke up the next day brainwashed and inducted into the Carnival of Shadows running the High Striker game where people try to ring the bell with a mallet. Later that week, heroes stopped the Carnival and Joy was set free from their magical mind-control before it permanently held. But Joy's mind hasn't been right since--she can't get enough of swinging mallets and clubs! Instead of fighting these urges, she registered with Hero Corps to put her new found passion of "clubbing" to good use. However, this passion can be too intense and she sometimes crosses lines to the dismay of Hero Corps. When not on patrol, Hero Corps encourages Joy to dance and party all night long in Pocket D, Paragon Dance Party, or even Studio 55 to burn off her over-enthusiasm of clubbing villains. After that night.... Not being right in the head, Joy likes to dress up! (Timely homage to The Mighty Thor...) ...More will be on the way once I unlock my final 3 costume slots! (I'm only lvl 9 at the moment. lol)

Interesting. This has never happened for me or my friends when we did it. We ALWAYS had to complete the mish to get the badge when done through Ouro. I guess we were always unlucky. (And yes, I know there is no "popup" for the badges.)
-
If you do the mish through Ouro, you have to defeat Nightstar. If you have the mish directly from Maria, you only have to walk on/off the map. Same with Multidimensional - if through Ouro, you have to complete the mish to get the badge. If you have it directly from Tina, just have to walk on/off.

Animations - not an issue as they are not long at all. AR has some of the shorter times of all the blaster sets No Aim - sure. I can see people not liking that. But AR does have a higher base Acc than other blaster sets. Not enough to match an Aim power, but it is something at least - maybe they could bump up the base Acc more? But honestly, I don't miss Aim and I wouldn't want to lose any of the powers in the set already for it. So, I guess I'm fine with the set as is. Lethal Damage - well, of course it's lethal damage, that's what bullets do. You're always going to do lethal damage. But you also get Fire Damage (which you want to take out of the set). You also need to remember, AR is one of the legacy sets - it was one of the first blaster sets in the game and the only rifle option you had was the legacy "super-soaker" that had not only the rifle, but a flame thrower attachments, grenade/beanbag launcher, and shotgun. So that's why the set is a hodge-podge of things. And while yes, it's an old set, it has still stayed solid and on par with the others through the years. Really, there is nothing wrong with AR and there is nothing to "fix." Maybe the ONLY thing to upgrade AR with would be to have an alternate animation where you fire the rifle shouldered, not from the hip (like you get inherently with Beam Rifle) - that's the only upgrade that AR really needs, imo.
-
Try it with Will Power instead? You can get good regen and probably higher resists for what you may want to do? My Titan/WP Brute has no issues with ITF. Or even better, WP Tank?
-
They don't? My bad. I would've swore they did. Oh well! 🙂

Storm/Ice is a great combo and love the look of your toon!
