I would go with a katana/super reflexes scrapper, perhaps with medicine and body mastery (light side) or Mu mastery (dark side) later on.

1. I'd consider giving radiation or bio armor a try - they both offer many tools to keep you on your feet and fighting at full force. Bio armor may be a bit more involved, as it has offensive/defensive/efficient forms, (mutually exclusive toggles), that slightly change how the set plays - more complexity, but also more flexibility in how you play. 2. A fairly simple way, IMO, is to run some tunnel farms in Architect Entertainment, then use the tickets you get to buy some rare IO salvage then sell it on the Auction House - can usually get about 400K - 500K info for each piece. Not huge in the long run, but definitely some "startup capital". 3. I rather like savage melee - it's less about burst damage and more about continuous fast attacks with some DoT mixed in. Attacks grant an end cost discount and a recharge bonus, which also benefits your secondary powers. 4. Attuning an IO basically makes it more powerful and, IIRC, effectively adjusts to your level. 5. There are a few new power pools to check out and some rather significant changes or editions to existing ones, so check them all out.

This sounds like it'd be more work. If an incoming attack already contains its position, and a positional defense power on the character can already check against it, then just use that check to trigger the damage reduction...

Trying blue but I want to kill Longbow..part 1

I wonder if they could do something like this: A power grants you 0 positional defense. If, however, an incoming attack triggers a check against that power at all, then apply the appropriate damage resistance value to said attack, before its final value is calculated. It's a bit of a kludge, but perhaps it could work...

I would think the head of such an organization would be someone with some sort of mind control or precognitive ability. Alternatively, they could be someone very mundane - maybe a person with a minor ability that gives them increased longevity, who has managed to cultivate deep connections with everyone from magic users to high tech geniuses...

Honestly, I think these would be better as accolade powers, perhaps for completing a certain number of hostage, objective, or kill-all missions. Alternatively, you could give each aura some small benefit besides just revealing certain enemies/objectives, so that they can both slot enhancements and be worthwhile outside of the specific mission types...

Yes. It's still a single-target heal with a short range. Have you tried the fire or elec APPs for Sentinels? They're much better.

1. It's not an APP. 2. It's not very good in combat. 3. There are multiple different blast, armor, control, and other such sets - why would be adding more APP options be a bad thing? 4. Try out the fire or elec Sentinel APP to see what I'm talking about - this establishes the precedent that something like a team heal *can* be in an APP.

Look at how the dual pistols powers are setup - the extra damage type basically has to be "baked in" to the power. Something like toxins from Blasters' Plant manipulation, from my understanding, utilizes a "pseudo-pet" to generate the extra damage, which means it doesn't benefit from damage buffs or modifiers you would normally benefit from, so such an addition would be minimal at best. If your intention is to allow the player to roleplay a sort of "elemental switch" of their primary & secondary sets, then a relevant costume change with powers adjusted in appearance would work better...

I'm just curious if you read the example set I gave, because only 1 of the powers is actually "team-centric", (while the others merely help your teammates by happenstance), and even then, said power can chain back to you. Either way, what I'm asking for are more options, with an emphasis on stuff that helps your teammates, but not exclusively...

I'm curious what you define as a "team-only" power. Do you mean something like heal other from empathy? Can you give me an idea of an entire set that is team-only, or do you mean a set that has a significant proportion of its powers devoted to friendly targets, only? I mean, if we take a defender, even if their entire primary set was only able to target other friendly entities, they'd still have their secondary and pool powers that they could use for their own benefit...

The OP does not owe you a response, FULL STOP. I ONLY speak for myself. An OP is fully within their right to post a topic and NEVER return to it. The devs are the ones that can make a determination as to whether they want to implement something or not, even if all that is present is a raw suggestion...

Try DM-ing the OP if you want a tailored, personal response. They don't owe you anything, and you have no grounds to become indignant that they don't respond to you in a manner you see fit. This is FORUM, NOT a private conservation...

So not too long ago was the 1st time I got a Sentinel to 50. On the way, I looked at the various APPs/PPPs available to them, and was pleasantly surprised to see that fire and electricity offered team heals. While obviously not as good as those that dedicated support classes get, I found it to be a nice option for those that wanted to also aid their teammates. I'd love to see this idea expanded to other ATs. For instance: Tanker - Voltaic Mastery 35 Electric Fence 35 Tesla Cage 41 Lightning Bolt 41 Rejuvenating Circuit 44 Jolting Chain Note that the exact damage, recharge, end cost, etc, would all have to be adjusted to be in line with AT modifiers and such...

Maybe extend the reach of the cones a bit and/or perhaps give shout or screech an extra damage effect for targets already affected by the -res debuff.

My issue is that in comics, villains typically initiate the conflict/cause the situation that the heroes have to respond to. In CoV, you are basically someone else's henchman - THEY initiate the schemes and you are brought in to aid them or bail them out. I get that it's a limitation due to the nature of the game, but I often feel like I'm just a lackey that was either paid or tricked into aiding a great villain...

Once you unlock Incarnate stuff, (or just by hitting level 50), you get 3 total builds available to you. I have a defense-based build using Scorpion's PPP. My 2nd build uses Ghost Widow's PPP and is more resist-focused. I haven't decided on what I want to do with my 3rd build, yet. Regardless, I basically take and use all the kinetics powers, save for repel and inertial reduction, as I want to be able to support my team best, and both speed boost and increase density now buff in an AoE, so it's much easier to buff my entire team all at once. As for IOs, I rarely use the set bonuses, as I'm not as interested in playing the associated meta-game...

How much of Paragon City can you get around?
biostem replied to Intermipants's topic in General Discussion
In a few zones where every area is not identical to every other area, I can get around pretty well. I have enough general knowledge to know that if I can see a war wall and I'm facing in direction A, I can turn around and head in direction B to head back to the city center... -

Screaming doom in an empty room or I need a hero
biostem replied to The_Warpact's topic in General Discussion
As long as they keep getting enough funding to keep the servers running, I'm happy to keep playing and contributing. If you personally want to combat the decline as you see it, then take part in some outreach. Whatever you decide, let's please tamp down on the propagation of "FUD"...- 24 replies
