  1. I mean, I've outright seen death threats in gaming forums, so this doesn't phase me. Can you point me to some? Honestly, from what I've read, I don't get that vibe, but I am open to being proven wrong. A lot can be down to the eye of the beholder, here... Again, I have to chalk this up to "eye of the beholder" stuff. You are going to feel how you are included to, but I, at least, don't want anyone to go...

I think a big part of the divide stems from the notion of "fairness" and the disparity between "have's" and "have-not's" - On one end of the spectrum, you get purists, who stick to contact and story arc content, and deem that the only legitimate way to play - so they put in X amount of time and receive Y reward. OTOH, you get more power-gamey folks, who farm themselves, get others to farm while they sit, or otherwise fully stock their characters ahead of time, and result in greater rewards for a shorter amount of time invested. I'm not saying either side is fundamentally correct in their assessment, just that the division between the 2 mindsets can be so extreme, (and even impact the in-game economy in some cases), that such disparate stances may be irreconcilable...

So unless it is from a mode/dev/admin, stating their intent, I wouldn't read too much into what people post here - you may be interpreting a particular causation when all there really is is correlation. My use of the term "concern-trolling" was not to accuse you of trolling in the regular sense, but that people sometimes bring up their "concerns" regarding a change or decision that was made, (or is upcoming), when in fact what they want is to spur others into raising a ruckus. regardless, no, I don't think you're actually trolling or threatening me.
  4. I chose to login to these forums. I chose to read this thread. I don't think I've interacted with you in the past. I don't care for idle threats or promises of a good time. Take your sour grapes elsewhere. *I* didn't win anything. I have no dog in the game. I've only ever done minimal farming to get my characters to 22, (so I can slot them up with some 25 IOs), or in some doldrum levels before 50. I get that some people want to or like to farm post-50 stuff. Plead your case with the devs, and after that, if you still don't get your way, either adapt to the change or move on...
  5. Or you're just paranoid. You haven't been removed, and if you're at all concerned about that happening in the future, contact a mod/admin and state your position/concerns. You are certainly free to assume whatever you like, but it is a fact that when you flood the market with inf, the buying power of each individual inf becomes less. Alternatively, you ccan run content that gives you merits and directly buy whatever you want. I can't speak to the devs' underlying motives. Farming AE was never something I did to any great extent, so this change won't impact me, but I don't really care what other people do, as long as they can play competently.

  8. Check out Midnight's Edge. From my understanding, they want to replace Amber Heard with Emilia Clarke. There's also something in the larger DCCU dealing with how Keaton was supposed to be introduced in the new Flash movie, and also to serve as the mentor to Batgirl, but due to these issues, Ben Affleck has been hired back on to take his place...

  11. Are you attacking as fast as possible, with whatever power is ready, or are you kinda saving up attacks and using them sparingly? In addition to the -tohit from Skulls, if you're spamming attacks as fast as you can, it'll chew through your end pretty quickly. In the lower levels, especially on a tougher AT, I'll space out my attacks and take the damage if end is bottoming out...
  12. There isn't any facial animations or even blinking, for such a process to build off of - our character's faces are literally just a static image.

  14. Can you provide a quote or source to that effect? The leadership pool, (or at least the 3 core powers), have always stacked, so I'm not sure where that comes from. This whole discussion kind of reminds me about talk about the "2 shot" legendary effect in Fallout 4 and 76 - the description says "fires an additional projectile", which for most weapons is a significant increase in damage, but for ones like shotguns, it is a very minimal increase, since they consider each pellet a projectile, (as opposed to the colloquial interpretation that the effect doubled the number of rounds/cartridges). What it comes down to is if a power says it increases damage by X%, then the difference between having the power toggled off and on should be that %.
  15. I don't disagree, but it isn't because of assault. Tactics buffs tohit instead of acc, and it didn't have to be changed top not stack with itself. It isn't a zero-sum game. Also, +dmg is much easier to come by than tohit or defense. It's also why I advocated for other effects besides just changing how the +dmg is calculated...
  16. Which are extremely circumstantial and rarely encountered. My contention is that the base value of your attacks is not, in fact, the "real" damage that your attacks do, (unless you don't slot for damage at all). I get the concerns over it stacking, but again, I must reiterate - let's say you had some sort of engine mod that made your car go 10% faster - would you be satisfied with that claim if they said "well, that value is based upon your car going 10mph", instead of the actual speed it's traveling at?
  17. I get what you're saying, but the issue is that 15% to *base* damage is not the same as 15% to "final" damage. When I look at the damage my character is dealing, I'm thinking in terms of what is splashing against the enemy, not the earliest pre-enhancement value. It'd be like a casino saying they were going to double your money if you won, but were only actually referring to your original bet, and not the final value if there was some 10:1 odds in play or something...
  18. I have had very good experiences with my radiation/savage melee or bio armor/savage melee tankers. You have a huge margin for error and the damage is respectable...
  19. Thing is, if you're looking to improve a build, maneuvers both provides an additional layer of survivability and increases DPS via LotG slotting. Assault needs some way of actually providing you the bonus it says on the tin, and not the much lower value as a result of how the damage bonus is calculated and enemy resistances are taken into account. I wonder if the bonus from assault could be moved way to the end of the calculation or something, or perhaps be factored in after all your enh's and other bonuses...
  20. So then you're saying you're not "forced", just incentivized? I mean, if I don't want to do something in-game, I don't. It's really that simple.
  21. There are the 2 tech jetpack options, under wings, that have wings that deploy and a little thruster that activates when flying. Both use a very similar back piece for the thrusters. I'd love to have *just* that central piece, (minus the wings), as a backpack option! Somewhat related, I'd love a version of the goldbricker jetpack, only without the 2 smaller ducted fans/turbines at the top...
  22. Can you please clarify this; You choose to play the game voluntarily, and can walk away at any time. At no time can you be said to be "forced" to do anything, here...
  23. I wholeheartedly agree. Perhaps that can offer some other option - whether it is a "minimal" option with no transparency, or one where you are like 90% "solid", etc...

    Speedster?

    Maybe try something like an energy blast/martial combat blaster - focus on the secondary, and treat the energy blasts as punches so fast that they can't see you speed to the target to deliver the blow. Couple burst of speed with combat teleport, and maybe some fighting attacks or air superiority to fill in the other melee attacks from the secondary...

    The biggest limitation is what your imagination can come up with; Given the proper background story, you could make almost any AT work...
