  1. Who said to use a farm? I said to use a radio mission set to +0/x1 or +1/x1 if you have a level shift. Further whether you find trying to get a log "scary" is immaterial to the discussion - if you are asserting that something is wrong/off/not working correctly, then it is incumbent upon you to "bring the receipts", as it were...
  2. I would also like to add that I couldn't find a way to have the log display the % by which your powers are reducing the damage, so you'd have to let the enemy attack you with and without the armor(s) on, then you could compare the results. There is some variability in damage numbers, but most enemies have only a few attacks, so they should use the same ones on you over and over - you could just load up a radio mission set to +0, (or +1 if you've got the Alpha level shift), so said level differences don't impact the results...
  3. Create a new chat window, add only the combat stuff into it. Fight 1 enemy or a single group, then you can click & drag to highlight, then copy it, or just scroll back up and take a screenshot. Here's a sample: Equinox Parasite HITS you! Pummel power had a 38.25% chance to hit and rolled a 4.51. Equinox Parasite hits you with their Pummel for 60.91 points of Smashing damage. Equinox Parasite knocks you off your feet with their Pummel! You received Incarnate Thread.
  4. From my understanding, the Null the Gull stuff was implemented the way it was due to time constraints and testing limitations involved in a proper UI. That being said, they could do something similar to what they did with the P2W vendor in Pocket D, where she doesn't have the dialogue options like in other locations, thereby permitting you to interact w/ her even if you're in the midst of a TF/SF...
  5. Can we please make it an official thing that if you post about something being "off" with a game mechanic, that you provide a combat log showing that...
  6. I have a shark-themed bio armor/savage melee tanker. His main build centers around durability, and uses uses the immob and quicksand from earth mastery (tinted red) for theme. His second build is more damage-oriented, using Mako's PPP for additional debuffs and some range. His final build is basically a joke one, which is generally pretty survivable, but uses a heavily procced whirlwind as his "Sharknado"...
  7. There is one - the Praetorian gauntlets have a keypad on the inner forearm, (though more would certainly be welcome)!
  8. There are several powers that have you tap your wrist/forearm, as if you were using an arm-mounted computer. I'd love to have that as a looping emote option!
  9. Hailing from a family with a legacy of making pacts with magical entities, Tara decided to be different, and instead of the typical earth/fire/water/air spirits, she instead sought out a radiation one, thus becoming "The Geiger Ghast":
  10. Quick question: Do IO effects/procs carry over to my pets, like the Kismet +tohit unique? Cheers!
  11. My thugs/sonic is now 50. Working on IO-ing them out and took them through a +4/x8 ITF the other day - didn't lose too many minions all things being equal, but Romulus made quick work of them...
  12. I'm pretty sure you couldn't create a comic book under "Super-man" or "Supermann", or any number of permutations, either. The rules are kept vague so as to avoid "rules lawyers" from trying to get away with something that is against the spirit of said rule.
  13. Go to a lower level zone, create a new chat window and add in the combat details, jump into a group of enemies, hit the power, then screenshot or copy-paste the results. That'll greatly help in identifying the issue...
  14. I don't think CoH processes the direction of attacks - only their damage or positional type. You can use a magnetic combat aura to kind of simulate it. What I would like to see is an option where your armor effects only pulse/activate when you either take damage, (for RES toggles), or if you successfully dodge an attack, (for DEF toggles).
  15. It's kind of too late in the game to add a new damage type. I mean, steam jet deals fire damage...
  16. I got my thugs/son up to about level 41. Slotted them with basic IOs and a few proc ones, (panacea, miracle, numina in health, a steadfast for some kb protection, and an achilles in enforcers). I went with the Mu patron for a broader res shield and the AoE immob to help get the most out of liquify. I'm probably going to try for the 3 +RES auras for my pets, but aren't there yet.
  17. Agreed on the 'raises more questions" part. Controllers have had pets longer than MMs. Is the differences the ability to control them, upgrade them, or both? They could have coded MMs off as taking the upgrade grants you an auto power, which replaces the base pet with the T1 or T2 upgraded ones. Is the issue the ability to control them? I wonder how much of the issue stems from a time constraint issue, and "just getting it done" was more important that "getting it done well and in an easily modifiable/expandable way".
  18. The lore pets don't gain abilities via specialized upgrade powers. Each iteration/tier/branch of the Lores, IIRC, is a separate power in its own right.
  19. I wonder if knockdown and the act of getting back up are inextricably linked together as 1 action/sequence of events. Besides being defeated, is there any instance where any enemy gets knocked down and stays down? Maybe that's why... *shrugs*
  20. Or have sleep cause a knockdown effect, from which the enemies won't try to get back up until they are awoken.
  21. I'd like to see a "No FX" and "colored outline" option added for pretty much all powers...
  22. That's one approach, but it does nothing for people that don't or won't take advantage of IO set bonuses. It also does nothing to ease the burden of having to devote so many slots for end redux and the subsequent loss of those slots being used elsewhere, when compared to sets that have inherent end recovery or reduction.
  23. You are looking at it from the wrong perspective - it would *only* affect powers that people actually slot end redux into. Imagine you and I are playing the same AT, but you have a powerset that includes additional sources of end recovery or a global end discount, and I have none of those. In order to maintain my play, I have to periodically stop and rest, rely on blue insp's, etc. You don't have to do those things. Now, if I can get more out of just a single end redux in each power, I can achieve something closer to what you can, yet I still have to devote all those slots to end redux. You want to slot end redux as well? Go right ahead, but you didn't need it in the first place...
  24. There is a good chunk of players that never dip into IO set bonuses. Heck, there are a good chunk of players that never even use generic IOs at all. This is a change geared toward those players. I can roll up a character using radiation armor, and laugh as the dark armor user constantly bottoms-out their end bar - that doesn't mean that because of the former, the latter shouldn't get a little love because of the near requirement that they slot end redux in every toggle and attack. I don't deny that there would be some "butterfly effect" from this single change, but I think it would help those underperformers.
  25. I mean, a fully IO'd-out character, with all those set bonuses, arguably has just as much of an advantage. Then there's accolades, temp powers, the ability to dual-box, and so on. Yes, Incarnate abilities are undoubtedly powerful, but it's the combination of things that really push you over that power curve. Heck, certain powerset combinations function far beyond the mean of their given AT...
