  1. If you're not using Marvel's depiction of Thor, then you should be alright. Of course, you could report yourself to the GMs to see for sure...
  2. Pretty much all enemy factions have a minion, lieutenant, and boss tier member. Some have underling, elite boss, and arch-villains/heroes and (giant)monsters as well. Several have multiple of each tier. While those 3 primary categories are a rough analog to the MM pets, they're not quite equal. That being said, I think ghouls are one of the lest interesting interesting groups to convert into a MM set. I would much rather see something like Nemesis, Malta, KoA, or carnies made into such sets, (ignoring the Lore Incarnates for the moment).
  3. They did *some* things right...
  4. I think Champions Online had the right idea when they added a "green screen room" to their Powerhouse tailor...
  5. It's kind of a vague "sniff test" TBH; The first giveaway, IMO, is if the name is just a poor use of letter substitution or throwing in some extraneous characters or spaces to get the name, ("Kaptain 4m3r1c4", etc). The second is costume, and the 3rd is powersets. Any single one, taken to an extreme, can be enough, but usually it's some combination of all 3...
  6. We'd have to kind of filter things down a bit, first: Those MM pets that use the regular human model should be the easiest to customize. Those that do not could kind of be "skipped", at least initially. So, zombies, mercs, ninja, & thugs can get this. Robots have a bit more going on, as do demons and beasts, so those would probably have to be addressed separately. That being said, the next issue is how the upgrade powers interact w/ those new models. I suppose you could either create 3 different costumes for each tier of henchman, but then you'd have to consider sets like mercs or thugs, where the 3rd tier 1 is different. And after saying all that, the simplest would probably be to say "F it!" and just have the custom costume override all that...
  7. I wasn't talking about the exact proportion inasmuch as the benefit didn't equal the sacrifice the caster had to pay. I don't really have a horse in this particular race - I was just pointing out that the injury the one absorbing the pain suffered didn't match the original one...
  8. But the amount of damage you incur is not equivalent to the amount healed. Thus, while I could see it, if being used to rez a target, causing more damage or imparting some sort of -regen -recovery effect on you for a short while, it shouldn't necessarily kill the caster...
  9. That's a good point, especially since there are many non-god entities in the universe that could wipe the floor with them - imagine if Wanda had stumbled into Omnipotence City during her rampage...
  10. I haven't seen you infringing, so there's no need to. No, your little dig at me was. It's not about "creative faculties" and never has been - you are not, according to the terms of playing Homecoming, permitted to copy any existing IP, full stop. If all you did was create a costume in the editor but never brought them into the game, no one would care. All I suggested was how you could be safe by creating an "inspired by" character instead of a direct copy...
  11. Great costume! How'd you get the Egyptian headpiece with only the trim being colored? Doesn't it usually have striped bands?
  12. But in a way, you agreed to not infringe by signing up/creating an account for Homecoming. Their reason for having that policy in place is not your concern - you agreed to it by joining, so you are bound to it. When you attack the person instead of the argument, you have basically lost the argument. I don't think people are saying to harass the person with the infringing name - only to report them and move on. The policy against infringing has been and continues to be in place. Report, then move along. At the same time, if you are the one with said infringing name/character, you have no leg to stand on with regard to getting generic'd.
  13. So I have a 50 illusion/trick arrow controller. She is very powerful. For me, the key powers are acid arrow and disruption arrow. The impart a -RES debuff in an area and have good uptime. Entangling arrow also applies a -RES effect, but it's only to a single target. Still, vs an AV, those debuffs really add up. Most of the other powers, while having their uses, pale in comparison to those 3, IMHO.
  14. I'm curious - have you ever created your own intellectual property, and if so, do you have any interest in actually being able to control/own it? If not, then carry on and I hope you never run up against anyone who actually would prosecute you, should you infringe upon theirs. And yet here you are, doing just that. But you know what *is* an actual way to stretch your creativity - create an homage to an existing character without flat-out copying them. Are you arguing that it's ok to infringe on other people's intellectual property if the ability to do so exists? Just because you *can* do something doesn't mean you should. There is a pretty distinct difference between a "Karen", (which I define as a person trying to enforce rules that either don't exist, or that they don't have the authority to do), and simply reporting someone who is violating a rule to the proper authorities, and letting them handle it...
  15. While I agree in general, my only concern would be having to create the models and/or trying to adapt ones that may already exist within the game. Also, if we won't actually be able to utilize them, it might be a weird break from things...
  16. One thing that confused me:
  17. As an option, sounds good! Again, as an option I'm all for it. I, personally, wouldn't use it, because there are many times where a team member may be defeated either through no fault of their own, or as a result of someone else. This would mean that the person could lose their ability to participate in the TF due to someone else's (in)action. I suppose since it's an option, then everyone taking part would know what they're getting into ahead of time - maybe have an extra popup upon starting, to drive the point home. Maybe do something like no hospital, no awakens - only ally or self rez powers.
  18. Even if you scaled Skulls or Hellions to be 50+, do those enemies have enough attacks/resistances to be on par with "genuine" 50+ enemies? I'm not against the suggestion per se, but will a Skull with a pistol attack and brawl really a worthy challenge? EDIT: This would be a great opportunity to come up with some higher-level Skulls, Hellions, Vahzilok, Prime Earth Clockwork, etc...
  19. You coach your OP with wishy-washy terms like "I assume" and "probably". If you had interacted with their various threads on the Beta forum, then just point to their direct comments on the matter. instead, you portray a series of leading and/or hypothetical statements, trying to spin this as some contemplative exercise. Don't speak for the devs - just point to what they say/said...
  20. Seemed like naval-gazing to me...
  21. Have you thought about engaging with them on the various focused feedback threads? Seems kind of counter-productive to do your naval-gazing here well after the fact...
  22. You'll get the occasional musical riff or beat as you're traveling around in some zones. You can even trigger some to play on demand with the boombox emote. Try some of these in-game...
  23. It would necessitate that players accept a fair bit of stretching and warping of the skirt/dress model. I mean, some of the longer skirts we already have access to do this - it'd just be even more obvious with such a long piece...
