Praetorians can acquire the Commuter Day Job badge by going to Pocket D and asking Null to take them to either Halloween Atlas Park or Talos Island Tiki party then log out at the tram.

I think this suggestion has run its course.

Tough to miss posts which don't exists.
@arcane I was almost certain we had a potential "gone the the americas!" on our hands, but Diantane has responded more lately, so no joy 😂

Perhaps Jimmy is just taking a long respite after the past two years of running the show. I mean the lights are still on and players are still enjoying the game even in Jimmy's absence, so I'm not too concerned.
... but I have noticed the same absence on the official discord as well.

I just mentioned in the other thread, but you can access the Winter Event year round via the entrance under the Ski Chalet.

You can actually access it year round @Techwright
Edit: Strictly through the route I mentioned. The other methods are time sensitive as you described.

Is that your base or somewhere in the game? That's in game. Access it via the door underneath the Ski Chalet Lodge in Pocket D.

This take is as bizarre now as it was the first time you posted it and I'm still not sure this isn't just Poe's Law at work.
At its peak (issue 5-6 timeframe) the game had 180k subscribers and was down to 125k by issue 13 which is the last time I've been able to find data for. It almost certainly continued falling off over the last four years of the game's retail run. Number Six's post from earlier this month reveals there were 18,588 unique user agents over a one-week period in late November/early December. Keep in mind that's not a direct measurement of unique players since it's only measuring unique pings to an update server but it's probably a fairly accurate estimate. Also keep in mind that it was a weekend immediately following a major update which as we've seen results in a population surge which lasts a couple weeks before waning off again.
TL;DR: The scenario you describe wasn't happening with a playerbase ten times what it is now. On the list of things which pose a threat to this game's existence "an influx of players" is probably well below "drone strike takes out every OVH server and a black ops commando team simultaneously infiltrates every location where backups of the game are stored."
If it's a couple of Mastermind Mercenaries, those server racks got nothing to fear.

Forgive me if this is wrong, but don't the dummies in the Vanguard base meet your criteria?

The bug with Burn was fixed on the beta server at some point in late 2019, I believe, but the fix so drastically reduced Burn's performance the fix got reverted and pushed until a later date. I remember doing the math and seeing it was doing something less than 1/4 of its current damage. CPH has already stated Burn's going to get fixed for real this time when the entire set receives a balance pass. I'll miss it on my Blaster though, that's for sure.
I'm not sure how* it needs fixed as a power itself, but I could see the set being modified to make Burn balanced with the set as a whole. What I am speaking more to is the other things that can be used to make Burn and pretty much any power behave in a way that isn't balanced by risk versus reward. Or maybe I'm not seeing the whole picture/formula.

Oh man when I submit my support tickets for enemies stuck in or underneath geometry, our awesome GMs show up faster than the time it takes for Bitter Freeze Ray to cast. Of course most of the time I just fail to find the enemy hiding in plain sight 😆

That is a popular example, but far from the only one. OP might not realize it, but both the legacy devs and the HC devs have modified (increased and decreased) badge requirements since badges were introduced to the game. It is their prerogative to do so, to the chagrin of players sometimes.

Like I've always said, if a player wants a badge, they will fulfill the requirements to earn it.

What is the longest animating attack power in this game? Anyone know? (Part of me wants to say it's Bitter Freeze Ray from the Ice Blast powerset, but that is only a paltry 2.5 seconds, or eternity in game time lol)

For IOs, 50 is the cap.
SOs and the various multi-aspect enhancements that drop from the Sewer Trial, Eden Trial, Hami Raids, and Aeon SF can go to 53 via combining.
(It may be possible to get DOs or TOs to 53 if you really, really wanted. I can't imagine any practical purpose for this.)
Ah good distinction - LISTED enhancements, yes.

So I'm at lvl 48. I see on AH there are options for 51+ enhancement listings. Yet there are 0 bids and 0 for sale. What's going on with that? Is there something I should be doing to get enhancements at that level, or is 50 still the real cap?
That's likely a reality of the market and the way enhancements are bucketed, meaning a Level 48 enhancement can be listed by a seller, but a buyer can see 1 enhancement available at 49 or 50.
Special Origin and Single Origin enhancements have a level cap of 53. Invention Origin enhancements have a level cap of 55.

Excepting a few powers like infrigidate, I max out at two with the purple proc and some other proc in the 6th slot since I rarely care about the psi and toxic resistance. I've tried a procmonster build and didn't care for 'em. Granted, I only gave it a real shot with claws.
Agreed. Infrigidate is a real outlier, perhaps even the best example of how much procs can change a power's risk versus reward formula.
I'd say Burn has a lot preventing the HC devs from taking a balance pass over it. The proc conundrum is separate though in balance considerations IMO. Then there's potentially instigating a community that has grown accustomed to how it can perform and an actual bug with upfront damage, or multiple pet casting, not quite sure.

That's a problem with it but it's just one more bugged power/problem with procs on a huge list of them.
Procs are to blame for a lot of unbalanced outcomes in this game. It's really a shame because at least for a little while the damage meta was tame. Now every attack power is slotted the same, with global recharge abound and @Diantane rippin up the threads to call it lame.

Scattering mobs to the 4 corners of the map is NOT a new playstyle. Neither can you "adapt" to it unless you like hunting them down one by one to ST the things down. Some of us do not have 3 extra powers to squeeze in Fold Space because a teammate has a fascination for watching enemies fly across the map.
You can adapt or complain, it doesn't make a difference.
-
I like the set and its mechanics and I think change is good. I'd recommend learning the mechanics and adapting it to a new playstyle or just continue to complain about it on the forums, or whatever change you don't like this week.

If your concern is influence, send an in game email influence request to @Yomo Kimyata . I did this many months ago one of my characters to get the basic IOs and helpful global procs.
