  1. Yeah, I thought the same thing for Captain America: BNW. Felt like that was already a story line... Same - team up movies have a special place in my movie watching preferences.
  2. A couple of useful commands to add to any Giant Monster hunting custom window tabs are found in my guide if anyone is interested.
  3. Nothing. The game continues to operate regardless of any players own individual donations. The lights stay on. If you're looking to make an impact that benefits the community besides a monetary donation, you can also donate your time by volunteering as a GM, Developer, or by helping with testing new updates.
  4. Captain America: Brave New World The Thunderbolts* Thoughts?
  5. Every time I read articles like this I think of how Blockbuster turned down buying Netflix many years ago. Blockbuster missed out and closed down (bankruptcy?) while Netflix went on to become a big company. I see Marvel and D.C. getting billions of U.S. Dollars for the media franchise they built over the last twenty years and think how a superhero game with an established player base could have enjoyed continued relevance and financial success even off said coat-tails. That being said, I am much more satisfied with the experience Homecoming has created with this community and game than I was during the old subscription and microtransaction days. Edit: My favorite line of the article and one I can relate to and appreciate the most is when @Widower said: "It helped that, in spite of never having met before, everyone on the team got on very well together and also was very willing to obliterate their sleep schedules.” Based on my experience, the initial rush of support and passion for projects that a lot of people enjoy is abundant, but sustaining something like this for over five years and gaining legitimacy - that is incredible. Sometimes I find myself thinking about how much time has passed since I started playing on Homecoming. It feels like a big chunk of my life, already five years on. But I only play (and sometimes test!), I don't have to responsibilities like managing server infrastructure or donations or moderating the community. How folks can find the time to do all that and still have fun in this game is beyond my comprehension, but not beyond my appreciation and enduring thanks! Edit 2: High praise in another part of the article: "Lee cited the Homecoming team’s addition of asymmetrical costumes, a community ask the Paragon team had never been able to figure out how to deliver."
  6. The same meta that has existed since Issue 13. Whichever Archetype can output the most damage in the shortest amount of time. Everyone else contributes to making that output more efficient.
  7. Released: Jimmy Armstrong Track Star
  8. Here's the guide I wrote about defeating all the Giant Monsters that spawn in zones, with the exception of the holiday events Giant Monsters. Hope that helps you understand Giant Monster spawn mechanics.
  9. Always clear spawns.
  10. My Illusion Dominator was made specifically for a Yin TF the Theme Team ran a while back. I hadn't played it since, so it's been Level 28 for a while too.
  11. If anyone's seeing names in the Theme Team Global Channel that don't look familiar, that's my bad! I was trying to add someone but instead I invited my entire global friend list. What a silly button to have next to inviting someone. That being said, please feel free to remove anyone that isn't supposed to be a member and feel free to remove my permissions 😅
  12. Submit a support ticket and move on.
  13. Doesn't Scourge.
  14. Blast! It looks like my record (and the only record for many months) for Corruptor was beaten. Well done!
  15. Seems like it was a good decision after all. Congrats to the folks who finally got their namesakes and other sought after names. I haven't had any names I've wanted, so I'm not too interested.
  16. Hey you're right! The post from the patch notes about the Labyrinth said that Windfall stacks with the increased xp and inf rewards from the zone, so it looks like even the dev team thought Windfall boosts inf. Fight For Rewards & Gain Level Shifts! Experience & Influence earned in the zone increased by 25% This stacks with other power such as Experience Boosters or Windfall. There were a few bug reports a while back about this, based on my search. Looks like it made the description change!
  17. Where do the Kheldian vanity pets fit in to lore I wonder. Are they one of those cool things that don't affect the story or did any kind of canon/lore make their way in to maybe the descriptions of them?
  18. WOW! Nice work! The Prestige costumes look like Mt. Everest compared to the mole hill that was Vanity pets to me at least. I've snagged a few just to get in to the hang of spending Prismatics, but it looks like I'll be after them for a good bit of time (good thing!).
  19. Yeah, Windfall doesn't boost XP - I use it to even out the difference between inf and XP, since most of the boosts players can get in game only go only to XP. Edit: Oh, and yes that looks right for the Lab increase. Experience & Influence earned in the zone increased by 25%
  20. For folks out there who enjoy collecting these little vanity pets, the Lord Recluse Mini-Pet is now available (for the rest of the month of November) to acquire from Luna for a cheap 2005 Reward Merits. There's two other mini-pets that are locked to specific months of the year as well. The Statesman Mini-Pet is available only during the month of May for 2004 Reward Merits. The Tyrant Mini-Pet is available only during the month of August for 2010 Reward Merits. These months and reward merits are tied to the months and years of release for City of Heroes, City of Villains, and Going Rogue. And relatedly, I've finally collected all of the vanity pets currently in-game! It's been a fun journey and an excellent side quest for me getting the rare drops before the Giant Monster mini-pets had better drop rates and collecting reward merits for the three locked to specific times of year mini-pets. The Kheldian Mini-Pets were probably my favorite (I ended up getting two from drops and I bought the other two off the Auction House). The Mini-Hero 1 pet was probably the most grindy, as it costs 10,000 Vanguard Merits to acquire. I look forward to seeing more vanity pets in the future. I'm still missing that Vanguard MDC, but I think that ends up being an accolade power? How is everyone else who enjoys collecting these vanity pets doing? Anyone who enjoys collecting vanity pets excited about acquiring the P.E.A.C.E. Drone mini pet (Hint: it's already on the Auction House, just none for sell!).
  21. And add the Windfall temp and added Experienced temps from booster packs, then for good measure at Level 45+ head to the Labyrinth for even more xp. Good times!
  22. I keep getting further and further from the intended audience for Marvel TV shows 🫠
  23. Did anyone try via Ouroboros? Edit: Nevermind, original post indicates yes. 'Only Love Can Hurt Like this' - Ashling Corlett (Level 41-49) Ashling Corlett is a veteran of Paragon City, even if you've never heard of her. When the Shivan attack hit Galaxy City she was in the thick of the Hero Corps rescue detail, only leaving after directly ordered to despite suffering serious injury. As a result she moved to the Hero Corps reserves, but she hasn't been idle. There's things left undone and she means to finish them, even if it means crossing a few lines to do it. Reach out to Ashling and her Hero Corps reserves, there's work to be done!
