  1. It exemplars better than most other tanker primaries also. Contrary to assumptions, survival from level 18 up is excellent. My SR tanker made it to 50 on pugs with only 2 defeats.
  2. Hmm. Since SR has no inset enhancable Resists, and Brute and Scrapper (and Stalker) have 3/4 base values thats a whole lot of set bonuses. Tankers get a lot more out of Tough, and the ATO adds resist But its mainly overkill, having played Scrapper, Brute and Tanker SRs to 50, they all can pretty much handle most everything thrown at them with IOs once they actually get their AOE toggles. Sadly for Scrappers that's pretty late. SR tankers do have one distinction, in that they can easily softcap at a very low level without many IOs, and thus exemplar better than a lot of tanker sets.
  3. Wouldn't say the Blaster at 50 tricked out compares to a Scrapper defensively. But maybe say they can sort of survive +4 stuff, usually. I've found I can roll along just fine on my softcapped blaster, churning out the big orange numbers .. then 3/4 into the mission .. oops Stunned .. BAM! More progress on my next Debt badge. I will say a blaster does way more damage than a scrapper, even ST. Since they don't need to be touching the bad guys, just TAB and blast.
  4. The biggest numbers are in the secondary. The secondary with the biggest attack damage numbers is /Energy ST, /Electricity AOE -- Edit- not counting the nukes of course. Biggest Nuke is Ice/ and Fire/ but thats with DOT

A SR tank is still more durable than a SR Brute or Scrapper, but possibly not as big a ratio as an Invul or WP For example you can get around 60% S/L resist before scaling resists kick in, maybe a bit more with the ATO. A Scrapper or Brute is going to be a lot lower than that. Of course 60% defense to all and 90% S/L resist when at 50% hp is overkill, similar to other tanker sets being overkill. --- Edit - Stalker only gets 2/3 the scaling resists of a Scrapper, so would be further behind.
  6. Actually im fine with things how they are. I was instead suggesting its already a lot easier than it used to be power wise. Using one of the 3 free power picks I get now that inherent fitness is a thing on Boxing seems like a NBD to me.

  8. Stone needs completely redone IMO. The penalties on granite are too harsh in the modern game. And being able to exemplar is more important than it was when it was created. And of course the look is outdated and ugly. Though granite is less ugly than wearing a flowerbed.
  9. What is the SR issue? SR Tankers can hit the softcap at very low level. They can easily cap for incarnate content, or to ignore rage crashes. Or alteratively, they can hit non incarnate softcap using very little in the way of slots. Allowing them to build for offense more easily.
  10. Is the having a "useless" power an ocd thing or something? We have 3 more powers than we used to, and no extra slots. Slots seem to be the real limiters.

  13. Brutes don't really invalidate scrappers though. Scrappers definitely deal more damage given the same powersets. Plus brutes do have to compete for fury.
  14. Think the secondaries need considered as well. The older secondaries had much harder hitting/longer rechrage attacks then the new ones. Compare storm kick to bone cruncher
  15. Interestingly i have the opposite rut. Lol. Ive been playing a MA/EA stalker. My ST damage and survivability are excellent. But with no AOE i feel like my job is only to break alphas and kill bosses for the AOE people. So i have been looking around for something that can do a lot of AOE without giving up too much ST.

    WP works great with something like footstomp or dragons tail. Knock them down then you will regen fast using rttc. That's really the survival button that seems to work best during moat play.
  18. Anecdotally i would have to say typed does work vs toxic as oldskool suggests. The only thing that really hits me on my EA "easily" are PSI things like Fortunas, Countess Crey, etc. Even the vahz puke which youd think is 100% toxic misses.

  20. How is survivability? Seems like it would be quite sturdy. My /EA stalker is only a bit over 1600 hp and im pretty happy survival wise.

  22. could use rad powers as the ranged attacks The only issue I see is that its grounded in the game world Where none of the other MM sets are.
