Indomitable Will is easily made perma unlike Rune of Protection, so you shouldn’t really need to do this, FWIW.

This makes me think: Force Field buffs should get DDR. A rare and in demand buff for a set that needs help standing out.

Wait until you get Farsight + Power Build Up or Power Boost 🙂 you can cap all your defenses without Fighting OR Leadership pools and pretty much hang out in melee at +4x8.

If you want the security of melee without the melee, consider a Time defender.

I never knew about this. I just figured these baddies were a tad tougher solely due to debuffs.

Basically every AT and powerset combo in this game can solo well, but (1) lower levels will be harder especially without low difficulty settings and (2) “squishies” will seem harder until you get some experience under your belt kiting/dodging/evading and combining/popping the right insps.

An alternative to Leaping for immobilize/kb protections No need to switch toggles, fire and forget Things we don’t have available anymore: Toggle Afterburner So, sorry, no vote to going backwards on this.

Again, I understand all of this. But, however bad a casual player may look for ignoring a part of a broadcasted request, I’d rather see that than self-righteous fit thrown publicly over other players.

It may be somewhat of a social norm for Hami or MSR, but, in the broader game, sending a tell for a team invite is as normal as it gets. I’m not saying I don’t personally broadcast for an invite if I am told to. But people coming to the forums to cry about other players doing one of the most normal things you can do? I’d rather not play with someone so uptight generally speaking.

If people have to read a rant like this to know your reasons, it is still reasonable to interpret your rules as arbitrary. I agree with nihili. If you’re going to have special rules, ignore your tells or deal with them. Coming to the forums to whine about people not adopting your special rules is not a super flattering look.

Solution in search of a problem. What other playstyles could we arbitrarily nuke from orbit, since some of you guys are into that? Nerf farming and I’d just go back to finding that one Harvey Maylor mission anyway, so whatever.

I think they’ve said the defense is too much for something with resistance and healing too, but it seems simple enough to just swap the extra defense buff out of Energy Drain for something else if that’s the reasoning..

FWIW I made a variant of my Poison/Dark with no cones and it works fine too. I get AoE damage from Blackstar, Enflame, and loading damage and -res procs into Venomous Gas, World of Confusion, and Envenom/Weaken. Rune of Protection + Melee Core + Life Drain and you’ve got yourself a nice Poison Scrapper. I don’t much like Clarion for Poisons. Poisons want Ageless. If I made a Poison/Sonic, I’d be tempted to take Shockwave for Force Feedback, but I’d probably skip Howl.
